Authentic. Only needs one word to describe this place. Spicy tuna don is my go to. Not made with that thick gloopy S sauce that a lot of places use. Shintaro uses a delicate sesame based chili sauce. One of the best sushi rice bowls in the lower mainland. Lunch menu is a relatively bargain for what you get but the dinner menu has some really delicious options, like the miso paste roasted eggplant. A must try while in Steveston.

It is a small restaurant with around six tables, allowing for an intimate dining experience. While parking can be challenging on weekends, it's easily accessible on weekday evenings, offering good value for money despite some items being sold out during peak hours.
