“We went for lunch after a military event. Staff were wonderful, patio was lovely and the food was delicious. I had the Brie which was amazing. Close to the base (CFB Comox) so very convenient for us. Have been before and will go back again. Good portion sizes and decently priced. We all felt very welcomed to be there, even though we showed up a little before they even opened.“

“The food is good, and fairly priced. This is not fine dining; it's a golf club dining room. However, the service is usually prompt and professional and we enjoy dining here. BTW, the prime rib special on Friday and Saturday nights is great.“

“Today, on March 5, 2025, I attended a Celebration of Life for my friend, followed by an after-party. I ordered a virgin Caesar drink and coffee, both of which were amazing. A friend sitting next to me ordered a Cajun Calamari Caesar Salad that looked incredible. After some debate about spending $20, I finally decided to order the salad as well. It was fantastic! The Caesar Salad was delightful, and you couldn’t even taste the purple onions. The Cajun Calamari, however, was on another level—it was crispy, perfectly seasoned, and not chewy at all. Their homemade tzatziki sauce complemented the dish beautifully. This entire meal was to die for, and it even came with a piece of garlic toast that was toasted perfectly; it wasn’t too garlicky. I highly recommend this dish to anyone who enjoys seafood—it's phenomenal! I had never been to the Whistle Stop Pub before, despite living here for 11 years, but I will definitely go back. Our waitress, Sahara, was fantastic; she didn’t even charge me for the coffee, which was greatly appreciated by our group!“

“A very nice friendly local pub with very good hard working good hearted caring loving loyal cheerful friendly staff like Tarun and Amanda who are always glad to serve their customers at any time with big smiles on their faces and very good tasting delicious super yummy food and 100% good customer service. Live jazz music every Thursday night and Sunday night karaoke with the 1 and only Milo and the pub manager Todd looks like a member of the legendry British rock band the Beatles. Check tis pub out you will love it. Now peace out and have a good day.“
