“I love this place. It's very basic but the value is great. Service very friendly, & unless they're slammed, fast. Heavy on breakfasts, Honestly, I'd give it a five because I like going there regularly, it's just a basic greasy spoon though, super friendly, tends to be older folks and families, kind of a locals spot. But if you want a good big brekkie that won't break the bank & very nice people on staff, go. Also some sweet outdoor booths that are wonderful in warmer months.”

“Gohanya is a hidden gem in the Sunshine Coast! They offer top-quality, affordable to-go sushi and a variety of other delicious Japanese dishes. The place is owned by a Japanese couple, and it definitely shows in the authenticity and care they put into their food.

I had the fried salmon and the spicy tuna poke bowl—both were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. It’s hard to find this kind of quality at such reasonable prices.

They also have a small dine-in area if you want to eat on the spot, and a selection of Japanese groceries, which is a nice bonus.

Highly recommend for anyone craving legit Japanese food in the area!”

The dishes we ordered were full of fresh vegetables, cooked flawlessly, and with large portions. They even honored our dietary restriction and made everything low-salt but super tasty. I really appreciate clean homestyle cooking (without a lot of salt, sugar, additives) when I can find it. In Seattle, food of this quality would cost at least 25-30% more. The staff was very friendly. They also have a Sunday night buffet that looked fantastic - wish I knew that before I ordered takeout!”

“Other guests mostly had good food but DON’T order lettuce wrap as you get ½ an iceberg lettuce cut so there are no big pieces and tou’re supposed to make yor own wrap. It’s not possible so you try to pick up peanuts and crispy noodles with your fork.”

“I stopped by during a trip and it was honestly so delicious! Even though we came as a group, all of our orders came out really quickly and the staff were super friendly. The place is known for their rolls, but honestly everything we had exceeded our expectations.

For appetizers, we had the Agedashi Tofu, Gomae, and Wakame. I highly recommend all three!
For mains, we tried the Spicy Tuna Salad, Sunshine Roll, Monster Roll, Popcorn Roll, Salmon Sashimi, Miso Ramen, and the Hells gate Roll, and everything was amazing.

Especially the Sunshine Roll, it came with a special house sauce that I’ve never tasted anywhere else. It was truly unique and packed with flavor.
