“Visiting the area from mainland. It was a nice stop on way back from Skookumchuck Narrows on the way back to our hotel in Sechelt. The staff were friendly, welcoming and gave good service. The entranceway makes it a little awkward to que up to the bar. Interested in checking out live music on a return visit.”

“Great find! The pizza was delicious - including the gluten free/dairy free one that my wife got (cauliflower crust and vegan cheese). Their eating area was also a really cozy setup right next to the cidery - from which we got a flight of ciders to go with our pizzas. Neat that they gave us a buzzer to let us know when the pizza was ready so we could look around. Highly recommend!”

“Gohanya is a hidden gem in the Sunshine Coast! They offer top-quality, affordable to-go sushi and a variety of other delicious Japanese dishes. The place is owned by a Japanese couple, and it definitely shows in the authenticity and care they put into their food.

I had the fried salmon and the spicy tuna poke bowl—both were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. It’s hard to find this kind of quality at such reasonable prices.

They also have a small dine-in area if you want to eat on the spot, and a selection of Japanese groceries, which is a nice bonus.

Highly recommend for anyone craving legit Japanese food in the area!”

“Other guests mostly had good food but DON’T order lettuce wrap as you get ½ an iceberg lettuce cut so there are no big pieces and tou’re supposed to make yor own wrap. It’s not possible so you try to pick up peanuts and crispy noodles with your fork.”

We have known Sandy, Peter and Johnny for many years and absolutely love eating here, usually we get the deep fried spring rolls - to die for, dipping sauces complimentary, and of course veggies and noodles of various types depending on our mood!
