I love this cafe but I wish you would train the baristas properly. About 50% of the time it's the best espresso I've had in my life, and 50% of the time it's bitter and has no body. I watch the baristas and realized that it's a problem with tamping. Some of them tamp properly, while others give it a single, light tamp (resulting in a watery, slightly bitter espresso.) If you just fix this issue it will always be the greatest espresso.
Island Café never disappoints, every visit feels like a tiny getaway. The moment you walk in, the ambiance wraps around you with its gentle island-inspired details, instantly pulling you back into those cherished memories of past island trips. It’s cozy, welcoming, and carries that slow, relaxing vibe you can’t help but sink into.

Trying to get away from Starbucks for our early morning coffee but there are few places open before 8am. Muffins are very reasonable and super fresh. Some varied seating options which is refreshing. I would love to come here as a regular spot but the coffee just doesn't cut it. It's quite weak and I had dark roast. Also, only paper cups, no ceramic cups? I guess I'll have to look elsewhere. We won't be back.
