Anna’s has been around for ages and the reason is that their pastries, cakes and buns are just so yummy! Not the overly sweet and heavy offerings at most western style bakeries, but the light, fresh and delightful Hong Kong style that just satisfies the palate. Another plus is that Starbucks and Bonjour Banh Mi are right next door - thus one can have a great Banh mi, coffee and dessert just by hanging around this block - nice!! Ordered a cake for yesterday, it was just a basic regular fruit cake. My first time ordering from Anna's and I noticed the fresh cream had a weird bitter after taste, the cake was a little dry too which was weird I don't think it was fresh and on top of that the cake started to fall apart when we cut into it. I was really sad.
