Joyeaux Café & Restaurant Reviews
Decent overall. The server was nice and friendly, but the atmosphere could be better. It was quiet, there was a slight smell of smoke coming from outside, and there was no AC.
Simple delicious Vietnamese food at very reasonable prices. Combos are very generous. Vegetarian choices galore. Busy at lunchtimes. All day breakfast and sandwiches also available. Clean, well stocked washrooms.
Update: Aug 2026- Still wonderful comfort food served by caring staff. I arrived around 2 pm and there was no wait, and lots of seating. 2 small sidewalk tables for Al fresco dining.

Joyeaux Café & Restaurant is a Vietnamese establishment with a French touch, known for its friendly service. The seafood noodle soup and Seafood #5 dish are offered, although the seafood flavor in the soup is mild and the Seafood #5 may not resemble its photo. The banh mi is a popular take-out option, praised for its quality and size. The menu also includes western breakfast and Vietnamese mains, with dishes like the spicy beef and pork noodle soup and veggie omelette with mushrooms being favorites. Quick service is common, especially during busy lunch hours when customers often enjoy their meal with side dishes like fruit salad. The restaurant provides a home-style feel, with fresh food and a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the flavorful broth, hearty portions, and the effort to make each dish with genuine passion for Vietnamese cuisine. The owner’s chef, Annie, is known for her friendly and fun attitude, contributing to the positive experience. The place is neat and clean, making it a popular spot for both quick bites and more substantial meals.
