“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

“I had an incredible experience here last Friday! My friends hosted a surprise bridal shower for me in the private dining room. The staff were thoughtful and helpful with the setup, allowing my them to come in early to decorate the space. They also did a flawless job with executing the surprise by pretending to bring me to a table first. The server was fun, warm and attentive throughout the night and I feel terrible that I’m forgetting her name! All the food was delicious, which has been the case every time I’ve been to Boulevard.“

“We visited van for our honeymoon and stayed at the Sutton hotel, we were recommended a spot at the Gerard lounge and we ended up going 3x, amazing food, the atmosphere of a stylish cocktail bar was fun and our server Brittany was a delight, amazing service and recommended some hot spots around the city so thank-you Brittany and thank-you to everyone there“

“This restaurant truly embodies customer focus. The staff recognised me by my second visit. They always greet me with enthusiasm and genuinely thank me for coming. When our tables have had abnormal requests, they are actually happy to accommodate. The restaurant is clean and the COVID restrictions are respected professionally. On top of all this, the food is great. The recipes are creative with subtle twists on classic dishes. And the Manager checks in for honest feedback. It is incredibly evident that he cares - about the experience, about the staff, and about continual improvement. My only suggestion is that maybe there could be a QR code at a few spots on the table. Our groups sometimes have to lean over each other to scan the menu or touch each others' phones. Special thanks to the Manager Noli! Thanks for always making sure our groups feel welcomed and even more than that - valued. We will be returning, often.“

“Had a fantastic experience at Desi. Wonderful, friendly and attentive service. The starters of gobi and momos were just average however the mains of seafood curry, lamb bhuna, rice and garlic naan were fantastic. Such good flavours and good plentiful portions. Loved the decor as well, and it was cozy and a beautiful space. Would definitely recommend and will be back. I live a block away so it's a no brainer should we have an Indian food craving. Would definitely try some other items next time as a lot I would have love to have tried.“

“Overall I would stay here again as it’s super convenient for the port when cruising. Great sized room (deluxe on 15th floor) had a great view, clean and comfortable beds. However. When we stayed last week, there was one lift working. It was often carnage with long queues and it could take 20 mins to get to the room or down to reception. We also had issues with our keycards keep clearing (as did some others we met during our many waits for a lift) so after those 20 mins, we would get upstairs to find we couldn’t get in to our room and would then have to do it all again, going down to reception. There was also often long lines here aswell so it got pretty frustrating. Staff in the restaurant at breakfast were lovely (especially Jessica) and so were those guys at the bellhop station, super nice and really helpful. Most disappointing to find this comment that was added to a sponsored post before being added here, was removed though.“
