“From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, the professional and attentive staff take care of every detail. Restaurant is large - it has great ambience, the layout provides a personal and intimate feeling despite there being many tables. The food is superb, we plan on returning to make our way through the great menu. It is the best place we have eaten at in Canada for food, service and ambience. We highly recommend the seafood tower as a way to taste through some of the menu. The grilled octopus rivalled what we have eaten in Italy. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and expertly curated.“

“INCREDIBLE. I hope that this business makes money hand over fist, because they're hitting the nostalgia G-spot of every age demographic. Live dj. Fresh pizza. Group Mario Kart. Probably 30 pinball machines from every era. Impeccable service. Quality merch. Literally the only detractor is the fact that they only have 2 single washrooms, but this is likely due to the building structure and out of their control. I can hardly wait to go back, and encourage every visitor to Victoria to go.“

“Twice I have been to End Dive and sat in the rays of the sun that gleam through wide windows, brightening the cozy bar and resplendent ceiling, and illuminating the truth: that dishes and drinks at End Dive are not just special, they are transient singularities that must be tasted to be believed.

The chatter and laughter of friends and surrounding patrons vibrates the air and my table, sending reverberations through my drink and up my arm, colliding in my brain with the explosion of rainbow flavors from the Lebanese squash; the distinguished smoked cauliflower; and the inevitable and unparalleled pasta.

“I visited 1450 Douglas St in Victoria for a casual dinner with friends. The place wasn’t overly crowded, which was nice since we had a group of ten. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly attentive—our server made sure our drinks were always filled and offered suggestions without being pushy. We tried several dishes, including the duck wings and beef tartar, both of which were fantastic. Portion sizes were generous for the price, making it a good value. The outdoor seating was perfect for a pleasant evening, though I noticed that indoor seating could get quite busy during peak hours. One small suggestion would be to offer more vegetarian options on the apperitif menu to cater to a broader audience.“

“Incredible pizza and service. The variety of pizzas is a mix of traditional and innovative, the ingredients were fresh and the pizzas were cooked to perfection. Our server (Aiden) was charming and knowledgeable and made the dining experience delightful. The restaurant is small and nested beside a Starbucks in a hotel, so the atmosphere could be a bit better, but the great food and service more than made up for it.“

I’ve eaten in some of the fanciest Japanese restaurants in some of the world’s biggest cities including Vegas, Vancouver, San Francisco, Toronto and more. This was absolutely the best out of all of them. The deep fried little crabs were amazing. The staff was wonderful and the owner was fantastic and so generous. “We had a great lunch here in Boomtown’s lovely garden area. The day was gorgeous, food was delicious and we were thrilled that they had so many gluten free options for my wife to choose from. They even have a dedicated fryer! The totchos are fantastic as is the charred corn salad but do not miss the GF donuts! They were freshly prepared and covered with a decedent salted caramel sauce. Outrageously good! The service was excellent and we will definitely be making Boomtown a regular stop for us.“

“Stopped by the bar about 30min before closing to grab a quick take out of BLT salad and soft pretzel bites. Since I was one of two customers in the bar service was pretty darn quick.

Once we got what we ordered we left and ate along the way home. The BLT was mostly iceberg lettuce, not a fan and a small bit of bacon stuffed into a corner, a bit disappointed. The pretzel bites were fine except the sauce was not for me, I'm sure it would be acceptable for 90% of people, but for me it tasted a bit off.

Aside from the food the service was fantastic. Freindly and helpful. Think I will swing by next time I'm in town when I can spend some time to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a proper meal.“
