“Higher end cafe -girl for counter service was a bit cold for what you would expect at this type of cafe - , the cappuccino was too bitter for my taste however to note I like a really mild espresso so I’m not the best judge - the blonde haired busser boy was hard working and the most friendly of the staff working . - overall atmosphere is beautiful with marble counters and glass display cases , high ceilings with attention to detail - there’s even pattern wall paper on the ceiling - exterior patio is gorgeous wrap around with plenty of seating - came on a Friday Afternoon and had one entire section to myself where I enjoyed the ocean views. The food and pastries sound and look phenomenal but I am on diet. I will 100% be back when I’m done the diet - likely for the avocado toast I saw. Overall nice time here by myself.“

“An amazing little desert spot. Great service and the deserts were delicious. We had the tiramisu, coconut cake and pineapple cheesecake. All were great but if I had to pick one, it would be the tiramisu. Very good earl grey tea served in stoneware. Also, the warm water is a nice touch to go with cold desert on a chilly November day.“

“There’s something about walking past Eggette House House on Robson that makes it impossible to keep walking. The sweet, buttery aroma of freshly made bubble waffles fills the air and practically pulls you through the door.

This visit, I went with the Durian Cheese Bubble Waffle. If you're a durian fan, you'll be happy to know the filling doesn't hold back, you can definitely taste the rich, creamy durian in every bite. The cheese helps mellow out the intensity without overpowering the king of fruits, making it a fun combination for adventurous dessert lovers.

That said, I personally would have preferred a classic plain bubble waffle. Sometimes the crispy exterior and soft, fluffy centre are all you really need to appreciate how well they're made.

I've also heard great things about their Portuguese Egg Tart Filled Bubble Waffle, and judging by how popular it is, that might be my pick on the next visit.

If you're strolling down Robson Street and craving a warm handheld treat, Eggette is worth a stop, whether you're team classic or team filled waffle. Just don't be surprised if the smell convinces you before the menu does.“

“These little lemon squares are so unbelievably good. They often make an appearance as the bonus bite on lemon desserts because there really is never a bad time for Lemon Squares.
We keep a box tucked away in the freezer for emergencies.“

“Tried tofu dessert for the first time and was not disappointed! It's mildly sweet, fresh, filling, and refreshing!! Great way to hit protein goals. Insane how healthy the dessert options are. We saw people literally coming in for tubs of fresh tofu.

“Cheesecake Etc. is my go-to late-night dessert spot in Vancouver as they close at 1AM! The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for winding down after dinner. Their cheesecake is always rich, creamy, and delicious. My favourite toppings are the strawberry or blueberry—both are fresh, flavorful, and pair perfectly with the cheesecake.

If you’re craving dessert late at night, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!“

“I visited Thierry while roaming around Mount Pleasant and saw that the Google reviews from this place were great. I wanted to find a new cafe spot where, as you study, there’s an atmosphere you could look at to take a quick break.

Food + Products:
I have visited this place four times already and have ordered:

Pastries: I really enjoyed their Danish options! My all-time favourite was the Roasted Tomato Danish, which I have never tried before.

Sandwich: I personally would not re-order the Jamon Blanc Sandwich; it was good, but the bread felt stale. The filling was great, but for its price, I would definitely try something different.

Drinks: Pistachio Latte was quite pricey, it did have a hint of pistachio. However, I expected it to be more richer and intense for the pistachio. Their drinks aren’t too sweet nor too bland either and I do like the roast of their coffee!

Atmosphere:
The atmosphere in Thierry really takes you as if you were in Paris. It’s very clean, and staff always clean up every hour, either cleaning the floor or such. Their bathroom is very clean as well; I have stayed in this cafe for hours and noticed that it is being cleaned throughout the day. The seating is quite awkward, but I do like how you have different options of seating and tables you could stay at.

Bonus: Inside is air-conditioned, which is great for the water and they also have a free still water and sparkling water station.

Customer Service:
The staff at this location is very friendly and warm. They interact with customers, which is nice to see! However, service could be more consistent. I had an experience where I had to wait for 5-7 mins for my croissant to be warmed up; it was not busy either.

Price:
Thierry could be quite pricey for its items. However, with the experience you will get at this place it will just balance off.

Overall, I will be coming back to this place every time I study or edit content! Thierry Mount Pleasant is one of my all-time favourite cafes; can’t wait to check out their other locations.

“I came here on a whim and am so glad I did. I needed something refreshing from all the walking we were doing while on vacation from Hawaii. In Hawaii, we have a lot of tea drinks that have boba and are mostly watery. I decided on a favorite, the coconut mango sago. You're instructed to shake it beforehand. There were tons of mango pieces and I got it less sweet. This almost felt like a meal it was so delicious and thicker than I'm used to. I would definitely come back if in the area.“

“Very friendly, family-owned cafe! It's great if you want a quick, simple, and affordable coffee to go. They have a wide assortment of baked goods that look beautiful. The walnut baklava was good; it runs a tiny bit on the sweeter side if that suits your preference, but the texture is nice and crispy. They also do a lot of fruit/smoothie-style drinks, though I haven't tried them yet. They also mention they carry gluten free options. I mostly come here for a quick coffee and to see the smiling, friendly family who are always so kind and hospitable. Definitely worth it for a quick coffee and a pastry on the go!“

“I tried pistachio mochi soup (hot) and steamed milk pudding with mangos (cold), I loved them both!
As a celiac I loved that these desserts are gluten free and totally safe for me to eat :)
The desserts are less sugary, so if you have a balanced “sweet” palette, this is the place for you!

“Underrated dessert shop. They sell the cheapest desserts from ice cream, French toast, hot desserts from china and shaved ice. The store itself isn't too big or too small. But when you order you have to go up to the counter and the wait is kind of long beacuse there's only one person making and serving it.“

“After having these at Granville Island, my wife and I decided to order them for our wedding. The service was great and the squares were delicious, as expected! They also keep really well, which was a bonus because we were able to order a few days in advance. They tasted just as fresh as when I've had them at Granville Island.“
