“Thierry is such an elegant café in Ambleside, West Vancouver! The interior is absolutely beautiful, with modern décor, gorgeous fresh flowers and a lovely, relaxing atmosphere.

The display of colourful macarons, cakes and pastries is incredible—everything looks like a little work of art! We enjoyed the beautiful Lemon Mousse Fruit Cake, the Chocolate Marquise—made with hazelnut dacquoise, salted caramel, crisp praline and chocolate mousse—and a perfectly made cappuccino. Everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!

It’s the perfect place to enjoy a special dessert and cappuccino before or after a walk along Ambleside Beach. I highly recommend visiting and will definitely be returning! ☕️🍰🍋🫐✨“

“Wasian here. Eat this mochi. The most fresh and soft pillowy perfect mochi ever. We just got back from Tokyo and didn't find this quality of mochi there. The owners are amazing good humans. And you can taste the love. My clementine orange mochi had a whole orange in it! Tiny fingertip claps of happiness!

I should take some home to share with my Mamasan, But it looks like I'm going to have to bring her back to BC for Emochi soon. Sorry, mom.

“An amazing little desert spot. Great service and the deserts were delicious. We had the tiramisu, coconut cake and pineapple cheesecake. All were great but if I had to pick one, it would be the tiramisu. Very good earl grey tea served in stoneware. Also, the warm water is a nice touch to go with cold desert on a chilly November day.“

“The best bubble waffle(雞蛋仔) in Vancouver!! Been here so many times and their Portuguese egg tart egg waffle is the best. The egg tart filling inside is soft and creamy, while the outside is perfectly crispy. Soooo good!!“

“These little lemon squares are so unbelievably good. They often make an appearance as the bonus bite on lemon desserts because there really is never a bad time for Lemon Squares.

“#Cash only. Came by on a Saturday afternoon, brief 5 minute wait or so. The line may look bad as it is out the door but it was quick. A few tables to eat in but most people did take out.

The tofu pudding was very smooth. We really enjoyed it. Lots of options with different flavours and also original. There are both hot and cold options.“

“Cheesecake Etc. is my go-to late-night dessert spot in Vancouver as they close at 1AM! The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for winding down after dinner. Their cheesecake is always rich, creamy, and delicious. My favourite toppings are the strawberry or blueberry—both are fresh, flavorful, and pair perfectly with the cheesecake.

If you’re craving dessert late at night, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!“

“One of the greatest additions to Mount Pleasant was Thierry in 2020. This French patisserie has some of the best – it not the best – baked confections in Vancouver. Sure, it’s a little pricey, but the textures and exquisite flavours are well worth it. Difficult for me to say which patisserie is my favourite because they are all so good – you could randomly point to any and be rewarded with mind-blowing tastes. Oh, and the chocolates! They are absolutely gorgeous! When ever we’re stuck for ideas for a gift, we always turn to their chocolates – or macarons. If you want something really special: their cakes are out of this world. Believe it or not, our regular, and frequent, purchases are mostly their savoury goods. The service too, is great. Super friendly and courteous the staff are a pleasure to interact with. The atmosphere of the place is wonderful: dark wood furniture and marbled counters, it feels very European. This place is definitely worth a visit.“

“Great spot for coffee, fresh baked goods, and smoothies! The owner is incredibly polite, welcoming, and friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
I especially loved the saffron cake, baklava, and vegetable pastry. Everything tasted fresh, was clearly baked the same day, and was very reasonably priced.
They have vegetarian options as well.
The cafe also has comfortable seating and is wheelchair accessible ♿, making it a great place for everyone. Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for delicious treats and excellent service!“

“I came here on a whim and am so glad I did. I needed something refreshing from all the walking we were doing while on vacation from Hawaii. In Hawaii, we have a lot of tea drinks that have boba and are mostly watery. I decided on a favorite, the coconut mango sago. You're instructed to shake it beforehand. There were tons of mango pieces and I got it less sweet. This almost felt like a meal it was so delicious and thicker than I'm used to. I would definitely come back if in the area.“

“Underrated dessert shop. They sell the cheapest desserts from ice cream, French toast, hot desserts from china and shaved ice. The store itself isn't too big or too small. But when you order you have to go up to the counter and the wait is kind of long beacuse there's only one person making and serving it.“

“I tried pistachio mochi soup (hot) and steamed milk pudding with mangos (cold), I loved them both!
As a celiac I loved that these desserts are gluten free and totally safe for me to eat :)
The desserts are less sugary, so if you have a balanced “sweet” palette, this is the place for you!
