Dunkin' Celebrates 4,000th Next Generation Store Opening in Jacksonville

Dunkin' is opening its 4,000th "Next Generation" store in Jacksonville, Florida. This new 2,000-square-foot restaurant at 3635 Philips Highway offers customers a fresh experience with modern design and new technology.

So, what's special about these "Next Generation" stores? The store has a new look with "openness, colors and materials" that create "an approachable, positive, and energetic environment." It features a new tap system for cold drinks, serving "coffees, iced teas, cold brew coffee, and nitro-infused cold brew coffee." For hot drinks, there are new espresso machines.

The store has a special area for customers who order ahead using the Dunkin' App. It also became more eco-friendly with LED lighting, efficient equipment, and low-flow faucets. These new stores use 33% less energy than older Dunkin' restaurants.

Sam Patel, the local Dunkin' franchisee, said: "We are very proud of the long-standing relationships we have built serving our customers and the community in the surrounding area. As we celebrate the grand opening of the 4,000th Next Gen store, we look forward to continuing to expand our presence here in the Jacksonville area and enhancing the guest experience."

For the grand opening, the first 100 Dunkin' Rewards members in line get free medium coffee for 100 days – not bad, right? You can also meet the Savannah Bananas (they're a sports team) and maybe win some Dunkin' stuff by spinning a wheel.

Dunkin' is also giving back to the community, donating $5,000 to Feeding Northeast Florida and 4,000 pounds of coffee to USO Jacksonville.

Started in 1950, Dunkin' is now the biggest coffee and donut brand in the U.S., with over 13,700 stores in nearly 40 countries.
