“Great food, but room for improvement. I was looking forward to dining at Pineapple Express, but unfortunately, the cleanliness of the restaurant fell far short of expectations. While the food tasted good, the dirty dining area overshadowed any culinary positives. Specific issues: - Filthy floor - Unclean tables (including ours) - Lack of attention to detail despite sufficient staff With better focus on cleanliness, Pineapple Express could provide a more enjoyable experience. For now, consider takeout.“

“This is a simple diner with positively amazing food. Everything we ordered was incredible. As a couple who often splits a meal we had enough for about four of us when we both ordered our own. I was able to pack it all up and take it out to somebody who needed it but if you're wondering about portion size it is ample and everything was delicious. The service was so steady that my coffee never had a chance to get cold.“

“I absolutely loved this place! Unfortunately, I was only visiting Eureka, but both nights went to Humboldt cider.
It’s in a huge space, extremely high ceilings, bit of a warehouse feel, but with an artsy edge.
Lots of different seating arrangements, incl. an area looking out of the building where there was probably a giant garage door at some point (providing open air vibes), couches, small and large tables, and a smaller area, partially enclosed for more intimate room (it can be rented out for parties or what have you).
Extremely reasonable prices.
They don’t carry food per se (they have chips & brownies) but there was always a food truck parked in front.
The ciders themselves, I thought they were delish and they had a good variety. They also have plain pressed cider/nonalcoholic cider.
Staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in cider suggestions and letting me taste.
Be aware, they are only open four days a week, I think. So check on that before going.
They have a bunch of board games and a couple skee ball games. Bring quarters.
Casual and comfortable atmosphere with yummy cider – definitely check it out!“

“I have been going to Cocina Mariposa regularly since moving to Humboldt in January 2019. I have tried a fairly large portion of the menu at this point. Every single thing I have ordered has invariably been fresh and absolutely delicious.

For me, particular highlights are the chili relleno plate, the tacos (with habanero salsa if you like spicy), and the California burrito. If you're into Mexican breakfast, their breakfast tortas and chilaquiles are excellent. But really, order anything that sounds good, it'll probably be great!

Their agua frescas are also to die for. They are made with real juice and are unlike most of the agua frescas you'll have had in your life.

They are also VERY knowledgeable about vegetarian and vegan cuisine, and are willing to alter menu items to fit these diets within reason.

This review is long overdue, but I recommend Cocina Mariposa to the highest degree. It really is a gem in a restaurant landscape that is otherwise dubious.“

“I like the outlet. I specifically went there knowing I wanted to use texas toast bread to make french toast. The prices are good but being an outlet store I try not to buy what won't be eaten shortly after purchase. I know the price here was low because right after I went to the restaurant supply store and noticed my savings.“

I just read this review and… I’m shaking my head, I am a local who’s been eating here for a long time and this honestly made me laugh out loud, not only am I a very dark skinned person but there is many dark skinned staff members at this restaurant so this comment comes off very unbelievable to me.
I have never been discriminated here and find everyone very kind, my waiter there was a young dark skinned girl and also like I said I am very dark skinned, so this is just laughable to me and not a review I would find accurate or helpful at all I also find it so odd that who ever wrote this review felt the need to state the skin color of the accused party maybe they are a bit colorist in there statement ??‍♀️

“You can’t go wrong here. The place is lovely, casual dress but with white tablecloths. Service was spot on and a nice wine selection. I enjoyed the special of Halibut with artichoke risotto. Fish was cooked perfectly and the risotto was creamy. The mussels, shrimp and scallops in pasta with a red curry sauce was awesome. Highly recommended.“

“The food is always good. I'm a repeat customer here. The service is very polite, plenty of seating with a friendly atmosphere. Also, bar seating if you prefer. Price is pretty average from what you'd expect from other restaurants that are similar. As stated before, the food is always good and they give you A LOT of it!! My grandson in law loves the beef chow fun and says it is as good as his Chinese father’s beef chow fun. The atmosphere is a nice change of pace and a good escape. Food arrives at the table hot and fresh, often quickly as well.“

Dine in take out it worth it any way you choose. I frequent here quite a bit. My kids love their pizza. They offer lunch specials. The nostalgic TV shows for me is a great experience. We accidentally picked up the wrong order but they were super cool about it and let us just keep the other pizzas without having to go back. “I have had the chicken Pho a couple of times, it is always flavorful and delicious. Just the right amount of flavor and spice and with plenty of meat. Not too salty so you can add if you like. There are 4 kinds of noodles you can choose from. The large bowl is huge and they have an extra condiment tray that has crunchy chili and ground peanuts. Awesome!“

“It's a taco truck on a relatively busy road, so the atmosphere isn't really a thing to be concerned about.I tried a couple of items, a shredded beef California burrito and a carnitas chimichanga.The California burrito was large and the shredded beef was very good, but the filling seemed to be mostly potato (fries). It might have been the way it was rolled, with all of the meat at one side, but that's just how it seemed to me. I don't know if I'd go for that one again or not, it is almost a wash for me.The chimichanga was loaded with pork, the meat was very flavorful, and the tortilla was nice and crispy without being burned. The container ended up with quite a lot of clear-ish liquid though, seeming to be from a combination of the salsa and the fresh tomatoes. This did soak into the bottom of the tortilla after a bit, but it was still delicious. I would definitely order the chimichanga again.“

“Me and my friend came from out of town. We chose Luis’s as our first restaurant to try in Eureka. Fernando was an amazing server. He was so sweet and very attentive. I've tried so many things on the menu now that I'm not going to list everything that I love, because its everything I've tried. Can't pick a favorite item. Today we had a big order and when we got home we were missing an item. we went back and they were apologetic and nice. they even through in an extra item as an apology without us even having to ask. “Had an excellent time at the Applebees. Our server, William, was extremely attentive and kind even on a busy night when other guests seem to be giving him a hard time for little to no reason! How crazy. The food was well done and brought extremely fast. I’d recommend this establishment to anybody and highly recommend Will as your server if you get a chance!“
