“I absolutely loved this place! Unfortunately, I was only visiting Eureka, but both nights went to Humboldt cider.
It’s in a huge space, extremely high ceilings, bit of a warehouse feel, but with an artsy edge.
Lots of different seating arrangements, incl. an area looking out of the building where there was probably a giant garage door at some point (providing open air vibes), couches, small and large tables, and a smaller area, partially enclosed for more intimate room (it can be rented out for parties or what have you).
Extremely reasonable prices.
They don’t carry food per se (they have chips & brownies) but there was always a food truck parked in front.
The ciders themselves, I thought they were delish and they had a good variety. They also have plain pressed cider/nonalcoholic cider.
Staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in cider suggestions and letting me taste.
Be aware, they are only open four days a week, I think. So check on that before going.
They have a bunch of board games and a couple skee ball games. Bring quarters.
Casual and comfortable atmosphere with yummy cider – definitely check it out!“

“Delicious fresh made food! Although the restaurant was busy the waitress and cooks were working hard! While it was beautiful to sit outside, there was a wait so we belly’d up to the bar and watched how efficient and quick everyone worked together. Ordered a cup of their seafood chowder that had clams, shrimp and mushrooms and the Sandy Beach Sandwich with bay shrimp, bacon, green onions and cheddar cheese on grilled sourdough. Sitting at the bar we were able to see all of the food that came out! They had a hot and cold crab sandwich that both looked delicious . Their Pub Cod sandwich was huge! The Shrimp Louie salad was big and had a lot of bay shrimp on it. This place was definitely worth the wait! Don’t miss out!“

“My parents and I, having already been fans of your parent company, finally decided to check out this extension and ordered your chicken Tandoori pizza on Superbowl Sunday, 2025. The quality and flavor of the pizza was absolutely amazing, just like anything that we've had at your parent location. We definitely look forward to trying out more recipes in the future. “I like the outlet. I specifically went there knowing I wanted to use texas toast bread to make french toast. The prices are good but being an outlet store I try not to buy what won't be eaten shortly after purchase. I know the price here was low because right after I went to the restaurant supply store and noticed my savings.“

“I have been going to Cocina Mariposa regularly since moving to Humboldt in January 2019. I have tried a fairly large portion of the menu at this point. Every single thing I have ordered has invariably been fresh and absolutely delicious.

For me, particular highlights are the chili relleno plate, the tacos (with habanero salsa if you like spicy), and the California burrito. If you're into Mexican breakfast, their breakfast tortas and chilaquiles are excellent. But really, order anything that sounds good, it'll probably be great!

Their agua frescas are also to die for. They are made with real juice and are unlike most of the agua frescas you'll have had in your life.

They are also VERY knowledgeable about vegetarian and vegan cuisine, and are willing to alter menu items to fit these diets within reason.

This review is long overdue, but I recommend Cocina Mariposa to the highest degree. It really is a gem in a restaurant landscape that is otherwise dubious.“

“We went for breakfast. I got a waffle and side order of sausage links and my wife got a shrimp omelet both with coffee. The food did not disappoint. Coffee was good and the ladies kept me topped up. Pretty sure I could have threaded a needle while riding a roller-coaster when we left.“

“So glad we tried this local pizza place while visiting Eureka. We accidentally picked up the wrong order but they were super cool about it and let us just keep the other pizzas without having to go back. Expecting a very busy restaurant to answer the phone at all times is completely ridiculous because the restaurant is a fluid entity and you need to go with what decisions best serve who are already sitting in the restaurant. I find the Diver to always have excellent service and excellent food. I eat there at least twice per week and the service is always reliable and pleasant, as well as an inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this to those who are into town whether a local or just visiting.“

I have never experienced a more positive work environment nor felt as welcome as I have here since day one. There's good reason this Cafe has been so successful for so long. “Walked into MOD in Eureka there was quite a few patrons sitting and enjoying their meal. No wait in line we walked ordered our entrées. We had custom Personal and cheesy bread. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and staff was extremely friendly and helpful on the MOD! So fun and delicious!“

Price is pretty average from what you'd expect from other restaurants that are similar. As stated before, the food is always good and they give you A LOT of it!! “We’ve been to Curry leaf restaurant three or four times now, and have always been delighted with the food. My grandson in law loves the beef chow fun and says it is as good as his Chinese father’s beef chow fun. The atmosphere is a nice change of pace and a good escape. Food arrives at the table hot and fresh, often quickly as well.“

A nice view of the surrounding buildings, friendly employees that make the atmosphere feel like going to a friends house, and not to mention the large pizza pieces that are as big as your head. “Normally come and get my $10 lunch special here. And I’m always happy. But this time I was quite disappointed. The veggie roll was still mushy inside and cold. I paid extra for the chow mein to be added for a $1 only to be disappointed with the amount of chowmein I got. Lastly I ordered the egg flower soup and it was boiled water with cabbage and egg. No flavor at all, just boiled water? The broccoli beef didn’t disappoint delicious as always but way too saucy to the point the broccoli floated and looked like soup. What happened? You guys are normally busy and it was dead and it still took 25 min to make.“

“It's a taco truck on a relatively busy road, so the atmosphere isn't really a thing to be concerned about.I tried a couple of items, a shredded beef California burrito and a carnitas chimichanga.The California burrito was large and the shredded beef was very good, but the filling seemed to be mostly potato (fries). It might have been the way it was rolled, with all of the meat at one side, but that's just how it seemed to me. I don't know if I'd go for that one again or not, it is almost a wash for me.The chimichanga was loaded with pork, the meat was very flavorful, and the tortilla was nice and crispy without being burned. The container ended up with quite a lot of clear-ish liquid though, seeming to be from a combination of the salsa and the fresh tomatoes. This did soak into the bottom of the tortilla after a bit, but it was still delicious. I would definitely order the chimichanga again.“

“Literally home of the best barbecue Hawaiian pizza I've ever had my entire life I get one every day and will continue to do so as long as their quality of food remains the same.As far as service goes there's only one person who works inside there that has really bad customer service he's a heavy set, native American kid instead of him being rude he just seems like he needs a little guidance“
