“I love the outdoor patio seating. There is a huge fountain in the center of the patio, large plants all around, and it has a ‘Paris Cafe’ feel. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the food arrives quickly and hot. The food presentation looks like it came from a travel magazine. The food is reasonably priced, for the amount of food that you get. The food is delicious every time. Everything on the menu is delicious! I would highly recommend the Breakfast House. They make the best Belgian waffles in town and they use fresh strawberries, whipped cream and cinnamon sugar dust! The bacon is crispy and savory and the eggs are fluffy and rich. The crepe eggs Florentine were delicious as well! They also have a full bar, so you can enjoy a mimosa with your brunch!“

“Food was good no complaints , it was packed which is ok and understandable. Staff could be more specific when trying to sit you in a busy loud establishment. Rather than being walked to our table we were told “go sit” and it was so loud we couldn’t hear what else she said . I then went to ask for help and was told “I didn’t help or say anything to you” when in fact she did help us , with a nasty attitude. I get it it’s busy it’s packed but be a little more kind, I observed she had attitude and dirty looks with another customer as well. Maybe she’s having a bad day idk.“

“Very good coffee and service. I was in Fresno for 12 days and this was my go to cafe for cappuccino. My friend from LA said his latte was excellent. They close on Sundays and Holidays, missed their coffee on NYE and New Years day but I understand. I went to the "standard" cafe in Clovis the morning I was leaving Fresno and it was also excellent. Great business, great people, and great service.“

“Gave this place a second chance and was shocked the chilaquiles "DELICIOUS " the green chile plate as well , the star of the show the cinnamon pancakes !! Delicious, savory and perfection with their cup of joe !! The service is on the dot !“

“I wish I could give an extra 6th star for service. This was one of the best breakfast experiences I have had in my 43 years. Our server was amazing. I wish I remembered his name so I could give him his due props.We will be coming back. Such great food, and even better service.“

“This is the best Uncle Harry’s in town. From the food to the customer service. Everything is great. We drive across town just to come to this one because of the great experiences we have. Each time we come we have been taken care of by Tiana! She deserves a shout out because she has such amazing customer service. We even saw her sitting down on her break and still offered to help a lady that was waiting up front. You don’t get such great service anymore or see such a hard worker! The whole team behind the counter too makes the best bagel sandwiches! Keep up the amazing work :)“

“I eat at Huckleberry’s at least twice a month, today however my experience was not good to the point that I did not leave a tip and feel terrible about that. I went in around noon on Sunday, I knew it would be busy. I signed in for one and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I sat there roughly 10 minutes. Two ladies came in signed in. Apparently they knew one of the waitress and were seated a few minutes later even though I was there before them. A waiter then approached the hostess and pointed at the clipboard, the hostess told him she was not going to seat one person in a booth. So I approached the hostess that initially signed me in and inquired why the two ladies were given a booth even though I was there before them, she didn’t know and looked for the waitress who sat them. The waitress proceeded to move them to a bigger booth to seat me. I was very disappointed. I realize it was not right to leave a tip but customers should not be given preferential treatment.“

“Actually it took a long time to get our orders that's why I say 4 stars. We were waiting at least 30 min. The waitress was good when she was finally there. We had 10 people. She made sure everything was right with our orders. Everyone was happy with the food. Chicken and waffles were ok for me actually. I don't usually eat that but wanted to try it here.“

“Just quickly popped in before hopping on a train. Jonathan and Alexis were there to greet me and incredibly attentive and all-around wonderful. Alexis in particular is the G.O.A.T. On top of everything and just delightful to be around! Will drop by every time I’m in Fresno!“

“I'm gonna be honest, I entered this restaurant in full "haterade" mode. The outside is gray with a small vinyl business sign that says BJ's Kountry Kitchen. The inside design is something that my grandmas', grandmother would have in her kitchen, but I'm not eating the decor so let's move on. The portions are pretty big here and the food is actually really good for a greasy spoon diner. I ordered the chicken fried steak with a side of biscuits and gravy. (give me all the gravy!) My piece of chicken fried steak was huge and the gravy that topped it was delicious. It was greasy, salty and just what a growing boy needs to start his day. The eggs were mid, as the kids say, and so was my fruit cup. My wife got the tri-tip and eggs and she was a little disappointed at her four pieces of tri-tip instead of one large single sliced chunk. I did try her tri-tip and it was very tasty. All-in-all the food was actually really good and reasonably priced. With our two coffees, breakfast orders, and an extra side of biscuits and gravy it was about $50 with tip. Sadly, that's a reasonably priced meal for two these days. This place was busy when we got here and it was a Friday at 8:30am! The service was amazing and after I shook off my initial snobby attitude, I found this place to be a cozy surprise. Maybe next time we'll bring the kiddos and let them enjoy some old school dining.“
