“This was my first visit. I came for the Kalbi grilled beef short ribs, marinated in Korean-style BBQ sauce. The ribs were excellent! It was a lot of food for the price; a large serving of short ribs, short-grain (Japanese sticky) rice, macaroni salad, and vegetables including broccoli and cauliflower. There are many other items on the menu I’d like to try one day. Highly recommend!“

“I seriously am so happy with this location I just ordered today 1/27/2024 and I always get the fire island but you can't order that through drive through because it takes a bit longer to make but I have a 2 month old who is teething and very irritable and so I went through drive through and asked if I could order and come inside and pick up after the 10-15 minutes to cook they said yes and as I was waiting I claimed in the backseat so my son could chew on his teething toy and the girl in the drive thru went above and beyond I looked up and she brought it out to my car. Thank you socmuch!!! I really appreciate that more than you know. This will be the only location I go too now. We need more people like these workers. Keep up the great job you guys!!!“

“I always come here. It's a staple in my rotation of restaurants. I know it seems pricey but it's a lot of food. I can definitely get two meals out of one order. But I usually get the mini plate because they're very filling. But you have to get the hibachi sauce. They provide one with the plate but I like to mixed it in my meat. It's a $1 each but it's so good.“

“I mean, come on. The food is to die for. However, the inside is much smaller with far less seating than the past. The photos of ladies are still on the walls though, which connects this place to the past and the good times I had as a younger man here with friends. As the chicken katsu and spam musubi enters my oral hole, I think back to all of the important moments in my life that happened within these walls: eating a massive katsu curry meal before a camping trip and blasting my guts out after setting up my tent, learning my brother would be abandoning us all to move to a foreign land, sharing intimate words and deliciously naughty glances with the love of my life only moments before she broke my heart. I owe it all to L&L. I would be nothing without this wonderful place.“

“We got takeout from this restaurant for lunch. We started with the crab rangoon. Though not bad, was a bit soggy. Our main courses, the crispy shrimp and island white fish lunch plates, were served on a bed of steamed cabbage and broccoli, accompanied by two scoops of white rice and one scoop of macaroni salad. The crispy shrimp impressed, but the standout was the tender, flaky island white fish with a yummy crispy exterior. The macaroni was a delicious highlight, reminiscent of the macaroni salad I enjoyed in Hawaii. Overall, a hearty meal with generous portions.“

“You can not convince me that there is a better Hawaiian place in Fresno. I've been going here for years and they will always be a top restaurant in this area. They are too consistent, too fast, too nice, and too delicious to ever be topped. Their main item is the garlic furikake chicken, and its for a REASON. I cannot even begin to explain the flavor so you have to go out and try it for yourself (and get it spicy). It's a combination of sweet, umami, and spicy and has the perfect cripsy texture. Their portion sizes are HUGE and definitely worth it for the price. You get rice, mac salad, and veggies under the chicken that are soaking up all the good juices. They have a house vinegar sauce located on each of the tables in the restuarant and that is a must have to make the best meal even better. Even if you don't land on this one, any other item is just as good. We also had a new item called the kimchi butter chicken katsu plate, which had a nice kick and crunch. I don't have pictures, but their spam musubi's and poke nachos hit different as well. DONT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!“
