“The Pupusas are far by the best In the high desert .They are the most authentic compare to any that I have tried in the 2 other Salvadorian restaurants. This restaurant sales half Salvadorian and Mexican food . Best of both worlds. I definitely recomend the especialito for breakfast ?“

Pupusas

“Love this place. Their Pupusas are authentic and I love how the filling is evenly distributed. The grease on the pupusas is from the cheese within, not like some of the other pupusas from restaurants in the High Desert who seem to cook them in grease instead of allowing the masa to slow cook properly. The extra grease at these places makes the masa fried like and a pupusa is not to be cooked in that manner. Honestly hands down the BEST pupuseria in the Victorvalley and I must say I have had the best in the country of El Salvador, these by all means are truly authentic and delicious. Mind you I am a Mexican who has been eating pupusas since the late 90's all thru Southern California. By far the best. If you want to experience a real authentic pupusa, this café is the place to go. They have a variety of fillings, from shrimp and cheese to zucchini and cheese fillings amongst others. The price is Very reasonable and you get more than your moneys worth in my opinion. Definitely recommend them.“

“The individual character here is similar to TITO'S GRILL, only not as popular, or as crowded, or with as an extensive menu. El Salvador Del Mundo Restaurant is actually an El Salvadorean Market, where the few El Salvadoreans who live up here can pay inflated prices for exports from the homeland, and homemade dishes from the old country. There are a few seats outside and a half a dozen tables indoors (along the cleaning-products isle), where you can eat these traditional dishes. And they look worth trying, because Grandma is in the kitchen cooking them there, so it must still be sort of good. I just wish that I had had a better experience with the manager the first time I came here.At the register, after me asking the young shop-keep about prices too many times, with my busted out teeth from a recent mugging and mt dirty farm jacket, he looked at me funny, I ended up with the little food that I could afford: which was down to two over-ripe bananas. But I was super-hungry, and I did have a jar of peanut butter at home, so two of the world's most popular long soft yellow tree-fruit were perfect for me, and luckily they were always cheap enough to buy, even with my recycling change. But the young man at the counter (and clearly the son or another relative of the owner) charged me $2.49 per banana. Bananas were only 45 cents per pound at the regular grocery store. I scoffed and left, with NO FOOD.“

“I didn't get his name, but there was a young man who was such a joy and I made sure to tell him so. He gave hubby and me a hug and it made our day. The food was good and so was the margarita. We will be back.Wheelchair accessibility: Hubby uses a wheelchair and he had no problem.“
