The staff were nice, but the food took for ever, be ready to wait about 45 minutes for your food to arrive.
Might not come back here just for this reason and this only if we are planning on dinner.

“I really enjoy the Latigo kid. Everything is great each time I go. The staff is attentive and helpful. There is always a table available and to top it off the food is great. I always get the shredded beef enchilada and chicken taco and I love it each time. There’s not much spice in those, which I like because I can eat it quickly but maybe I’ll add more spice to it next time.“

“Amazing service. Went to another place who didn’t want understand that I m driving a 44 foot trailer and I won’t fit into the driveway but came here and they were super nice about it and let me in. Also the service was awesome. That’s Waltham you call a 5star customer service when someone understands your circumstances and are kind enough to help you out!!! I have had also a vegetarian burrito in another occasion and liked it very much! In the menu there are many nice cocktails and drink. If you don’t know what to take I suggest the margarita flyers!“

They do have a salsa bar with 3 different types of salsa as well as onions, cilantro, limes, pickled onions/veg., etc...“

“Los agaves has been my family and I’s favorite Mexican restaurant to visit for the past couple years now. We’ve ventured around the menu and everything we get is delicious! We love visiting the west lake village location as well as the Santa Barbara location on De la vina street. Both exceptional!
I’ve seen a couple reviews complaining as to why servers don’t come take our orders at the table. God forbid you have to order your own food at the register. I personally don’t mind at all. In addition I’ve always received great service when visiting. 10/10 I recommend to any one every chance I get!“

All the various meats you could want are on offer, with shrimp and fish dishes available, too. We considered the prices reasonable.

Mom ordered a taco salad; I had a big plate of nachos with the meat on top split: half carnitas and half Chile Verde [no other eatery has made a point of offering me this half & half option, btw].

A well stocked, complimentary, self-serve display of salsas, chips, and marinated vegetables was much appreciated.

Our dishes were promptly brought out to our table. Mom's taco salad was not large to look at, but was packed full—she kept commenting about how delicious and fresh everything was (I agree) and enjoyed her beef. My nachos were loaded: carnitas were crispy, not greasy, and with more flavor than I have experienced at other places; the Chile Verde was succulent and scrumptious with a tangy sauce.

For unpretentious Mexican fare, Taqueria El Tapatio was really a delightful surprise for us. We're not Moorpark locals, but will be back when we can.“

However, I believe the area where people eat should be cleaned every time someone finishes their meal, as there were still crumbs on the surface where we sat. There's only one table where people can sit. The rest is a countertop on the side of the wall and tall chairs to sit on. The food was great, but I don't recommend eating there.“

It's hard to imagine food this great being inside a Chevron but don't let that make you miss out on truly terrific tacos!
