“What a surprise! Will be back again and again. The food is excellent and while it’s not table service, the service is helpful and fairly quick. Did I mention the food is delicious? I love their margaritas here. It’s not tequila. It’s a wine tequila. Must try.
I love that they have booths at this place.
We met the owner. Hands-on, very interested in his customers’ comfort and experience.
This is a place Agoura/Oak Park/Westlake didn’t even know we needed.“

“Plata is one of my favorite spots for fresh, flavorful Mexican food with a gourmet twist. The dishes feel familiar but elevated with special ingredients I wouldn’t make at home.

I almost always order the Trio of Tacos so I can try different flavors. Tonight I had the crispy shrimp with mango salsa, the short rib, and the lettuce-wrap tinga taco with a crispy cheese tuille inside, all really good. Their cilantro rice and beans are great, too, and the watermelon aguas frescas was refreshing.

Service is consistently excellent friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. I also love the peaceful courtyard seating with greenery and a water feature. And as a bonus, TIFA Gelato! is right in the same center if you want something sweet afterward.

“I really enjoy the Latigo kid. Everything is great each time I go. The staff is attentive and helpful. There is always a table available and to top it off the food is great. I always get the shredded beef enchilada and chicken taco and I love it each time. There’s not much spice in those, which I like because I can eat it quickly but maybe I’ll add more spice to it next time.“

“I’m so lucky to have this Mexican restaurant right across the street from my house! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite — from the perfectly seasoned meats to the homemade salsas.

The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the owner clearly takes pride in offering an amazing drink selection every cocktail we tried was top-notch. “My friend found this place on Yelp and wanted to give it a try, so we decided to stop by. It’s an Oaxacan restaurant known for their mole negro, which is one of their specialties.

I ordered the enchiladas de mole negro. I’m Peruvian, and the flavor wasn’t quite my personal preference, but I took the leftovers home and my husband who is Mexican and a big fan of mole absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy traditional mole, you’ll probably appreciate it.
My friend ordered the mole negro with rice and completely devoured her plate. She said she really enjoyed the flavor.
I also ordered the Oaxacan horchata, and that was a highlight for me. I loved it so much very refreshing and delicious.

The customer service was alright, a bit slow, but understandable since there was only one girl working the register and serving tables at the same time.

The restaurant itself is cozy, and the bathroom was clean, which I always appreciate.
Overall, it was a nice experience trying a traditional Oaxacan spot.“

“Stopped by Yolanda’s in Simi Valley for happy hour and it did not disappoint. 🍻 Great happy hour menu, nice cold beer, solid margaritas, and plenty of sports on the TVs. The place is clean, the crowd was good, and the waiters were friendly and attentive the whole time.

I had the corn burritos (almost went with taquitos!) and they were actually really good — flavorful and hit the spot.

Definitely a place I’ll come back to.

“This place is one of a kind. From the atmosphere to the customer service. Walking in you see the amazing mural they have on the back wall but you also get an instant aroma of the delicious food they have brewing. Jesse’s friendly face at the counter invites you in and his knowledge of the food leaves you conflicted on what to order. I had a classic, their menudo. It came with handmade tortillas and their taco bar has the most flavorful red salsa I’ve ever had. Perfect combination for the menudo. I also had an agua fresca. Their cucumber mint was refreshing. My girlfriend had their pozole. Although I didn’t taste it I couldn’t help but steal one of her tostadas, slap on some of that red salsa and some cheese and sour cream. To finish it off we had a plátano frito with lechera. Honestly, everything was to die for. Will definitely be back for more. We were left with a craving for their specialty, their huarache.“

I carried him in to pick up, and asked if there is an option to have the food brought outside (I dont want to be that rule breaker, bringing in pets that are not service dogs) The server was really sweet and explained, I just have to order to eat in, and they will find me outside. “I love Baja Fresh especially the Baja Burritos the Fajitas are great as well as their tacos. Ingredients are always fresh. They always provide extra chips when asked. I really enjoy all the different salsa in the salsa bar. The negatives are they no longer give the grilled green onion with the entrees and the banana peppers are no longer provided in the salsa bar.“
