“I've been a wine club member for... maybe 5-6 years? Longer? I keep coming back because they offer a very good wine for their price point and I'm a wine snob on a budget! My mom loves their barbera and tasted their wine at some wine and food club in Washington. When she found out that they were in the east bay, she told me to visit. I always try to bring her home a couple bottles every time I visit!“
“The cider and the staff were fantastic. Had someone sit near us saying they were fighting a cold so felt had to extra sanitize, but thats not their fault. We did miss the entrance and hand to u turn, but we found it on the second try. I love that they have board games.“
“Unique experience in a residential neighborhood. One guy and his wife in their "yard". Fantastic property and views! Poured 2012/2013 in 2022! One of a kind experience!“
“Not only do they have great wines but they also have great service. Jeff and his family who own and run the place are super sweet. They were really nice and accommodating to our family when we came by. We have been enjoying their wines for a while so it was very nice to enjoy the winery in person.“
“What a wonderful experience at Deer Hill Vineyards. A post Christmas gift to our wonderful friends. Contacted Bill to arrange a date and time. He was quick to respond. Very excited to try a Vineyard so close to home that we didn’t know anything about. And, wow, it was such a beautiful tasting room, with a Bill telling us all about his property and how he got into wine making. Also telling us so much info about the wine industry. Learned more here than anywhere else. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. We also got a great charcuterie board. Thank you Bill so very much. We had the best time.“
“We wandered into Lusu on a walk over to REI, and were happily surprised with our visit. The tasting consisted of 5 wines made on site, mostly from grapes in the El Dorado area, and was $10. The hostess was knowledgeable and engaging (the owner apparently out of town this weekend), and the wines were of a decent variety, and obviously carefully selected.I appreciated that at least a few of them were dry-farmed, and had some really enjoyable complexity and depth. We walked away with several bottles. The winery apparently shares the space with a second winery, who we didn't have a chance to taste — we are planning on going back though.“
“The atmosphere was absolutely relaxing with an inviting appeal. The wines were unique and very smooth. For those who think they do not like wine, I challenge you to try these wines“
“Broc Cellars is a true gem of west Berkeley. They have many wines to choose from and something for everyone. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. It’s really the perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening. Definitely try their buttery hand pies or other small snacks!💗🍷“
