“Absolutely adored the hospitality of the staff. We're visiting from Virginia and it was such a new experience to have table side service and staff who were engaging and interested in conversation. The tasting room is beautiful, as are the grounds. We really enjoyed the couple of hours we spent tasting wines and having light charcuterie (purchased on site). “Fantastic tasting room! The Ruby Hill folks are incredibly welcoming and excited about the wine. We had a great time talking to John about the wine, the area, and life in general. The facility is beautiful and spacious. Ruby Hill has a collection of very good robust reds that are likely to end up coming home with you after a tasting. We were impressed by the Cuvee Dray Bordeaux style blend, for which $10 of each bottle sold is donated to a local animal shelter. The Anthology I, II, and III blends are also quite interesting and are apparently a place for the winemakers creativity to shine. We tried two Zins, the 2023 Peacock Patch Zinfandel and the 2023 Jewel Collection Zin. Both are well worth having in your cellar and on your table and they are very different from one another. The Peacock is, to me, a Zin that people will enjoy who aren't necessarily Zin fans-- it is a little lighter and more versatile than many Zins and not too jammy. The Jewel Zin has huge flavors, including big, ripe, berries, dark cocoa, and enough acidity for balance. This one seems like it will age well and it benefitted from being in the glass for a little while. Last, the 2023 Grapeful Red is the deal of the century at $19 per bottle. This one is mostly Zin and Barbera, it is versatile, well-balanced, would pair well with a broad variety of foods, and will be enjoyable as a sipping wine for most people. This is a wine I would buy by the case and open when friends come by or when we decide to grill burgers and sit on the deck.“

“Was there for an event. A 80th birthday party. Was wonderful outside venue under the shade of the multiple trees. Different wines had been purchased as well as soft drinks & water. Although temperatures in the 90's there was a nice breeze so was comfortable.“

“I found a hidden gem!! This is by far my favorite winery in the livermore area. The location is absolutely beautiful and one of the owners (Rich) is incredibly personable, giving you that small town welcoming feel. They offer a wide variety of wines and even have a beer list for those non wine drinkers.
Another thing I love about this place is that it's affordable, with so many wineries in the area charging 40 dollars for a tasting of 4 wines (which is wild to me) here you can taste 10 wines for 30 dollars.
My only regret is not finding this place sooner!“

“Ours was an early Sunday dinner so only few customers and therefore good service & quiet atmosphere. I ordered the mixed grill plate which was a great sampler of their traditional meat dishes. Very tasty. I also tried a Turkish beer which complemented the meal nicely. My wife had the shrimp casserole which she thoroughly enjoyed. And our friend ordered the sea bass which also was appreciated. We all look forward to returning for another fine meal in the future.“

“I had a great time with my parents there. It is a small Vineyard if you compare to the ones in Napa but I had to for a meeting in Livermore so we visited Las Positas.

My parents share a flight and we ate 2 flatbreads. All good, we enjoyed family time.“

“This is such a great winery! The reds are a little lighter than many Bordeaux blends, and they also have some ligher Italian reds. The Pinot Blanc is one of the best white wines I have ever had, and garden setting is perfect.

If you see some negative reviews here, you quickly notice that it was from a large group of peopke who brought their unruly kids. Kids don't belong at a winery and I appreciate RM keeping the environment peaceful.“

“I've not visited the vineyard and hope to soon. Writing this in appreciation because my favorite wine shop in Oakland, The Wine Mine, sells their Pinot Noir which has been a favorite of mine for years. So hopefully on one of those days for my girlfriend and I go driving around we hope to visit.

“We became members here because they have whites and reds that my wife and I both love. Their wines are made with grapes grown on their estate. The truffle tots alone are worth a visit. And the staff, service and ambiance are wonderful every time.“
