“A small winery, with a cozy tasting experience. This spot is cool because you get to sit where the wine is made and interact directly with the owner who makes the wine himself. All the wines were delightful and would be worthwhile visiting for again :)“
“Broc Cellars is a quintessential Berkeley spot. They have a cool tasting room (indoor & outdoor) + offer curbside pickup and... They also now sell plants! When I go to pick up my wine (the club is amazing) I always pick out a plant to take home either for myself or someone special“
“If you're a fan of natural wines then look no further. This place is amazing, great ambience, great place to bring friends, families, kids and pets. They have food pop ups on the weekends. Their first Fridays are simply the best. Great food pop ups with DJ spinning. If you're in town but can't make it up to Napa then this is the place for you. Service is friendly and they're very accommodating.“
“A big shout out to Russell! He's named in a number of reviews here and he, as the Tasting Room Manager, really does an amazing job of curating a wine tasting plus a storytelling session of the Chateau Montelena. Popped in while staying at the Westin. It's a small tasting room - literally one room - but it provides an intimate, cozy experience that I do miss while at some larger wineries. All in all, each of the wines were surprising, in a good way! While we didn't buy any this trip, we did bookmark the winery to visit next month when we're closer to Calistoga to really get more of the experience.“
“I REALLY enjoyed Urban Legend, it offers wine tasting, crafted on sight. During harvest you might see trucks pulling up with bins of grapes that immediately start getting processed by the owners Steve, Marilee, and their knowledge staff. If the weather is nice you can sit outside and look at the spectacular skyline of San Francisco and the Bay (photos below). We had Stella as our hostess. She was very knowledgeable and engaging. She listened to your feedback on the wine, and we had great discussions about it. I can’t wait to come back next year! ??“
“Enjoyed a smooth cab, the unique atmosphere within the production warehouse added to the overall experience. Scott provided thorough explanations, going above and beyond by recommending other fantastic wineries and delightful food options to explore in the East Bay.“
“The Study is in an odd place, but it was a cool vibe. We showed up for a temari pop up. Sat outside with friends and our puppy. The music was flowing and so was the natural wine. Most of my group enjoyed the red wine, but I was a fan of the strawberry sparkling white wine. Once the temari sampler came out, we were all happy. It came with 9 pieces per person. I didn't think I would get full, but it was very tasty. Every bite was well thought out with fresh ingredients. All in all I would come back to check out future pop ups.“
“I couldn't have picked a better venue or better host! You feel like you are with your family and feel right at home. On the day of my wedding I feel so comforted and relaxed. Even right before the wedding was supposed to begin the rain decided to join us for a little bit and Barbara and many others jumped into to get the chairs and tables dry, amazing!I also highly recommend Juan as you cater for this venue, he knows the space extremely well and the food is amazing! Finally I also recommend getting Mirella as your wedding planner! She coordinated with all the vendors wonderfully and left me to be able to just enjoy my day! =)“
“I really dig Prima Materia wines -- particularly the cab and Grenache. I also like buying the variety pack cases, which brings the cost per bottle down to about $22. And it's fun to learn about varietals with which I'm unfamiliar, like agalianico.“
“10 stars! I went to a going away party at the winery on Sunday and realized after I got home that one of my diamond earrings was missing. Left a voicemail and the owner Kevin called me back within 10 minutes, told me he was headed to the winery on a holiday Monday and would look for my earring. He also thoughtfully asked where we had parked and whether I had been in the restroom so he could look there.HE.FOUND.IT! Called me back, made arrangements for me to pick it up and refused my offer of a reward. Restored my faith in humanity. Please give Kevin and Barbara your business, they are good people!“
“We came here during a Treasure Island outing and had a nice afternoon. There is indoor seating and a public outdoor seating area as well. We chose to sit outside because we had our dog with us and there are signs advising no dogs are allowed in the building. They have offerings of beer, wine and empanadas and we sampled them all. The bartender was very nice and made suggestions. They also had convenient public restrooms and it was a quick walk to get the ferry back. I like that even on a weekend it wasn't crowded and we were able to enjoy the weather and have some lovely conversation. There was also music playing even though we were outside and it added to the ambiance. I would definitely stop in if you're in the area.“
“Had my 40th bday here. Estella is so hospitable, sweet, and hard working. She invited me to taste and pick out wines in advance and was onsite with her son the night of the party. Everything was delicious and smooth, and she even allowed us to keep some food donations we had collected over night. Highly recommend this unique and family owned venue.“
“We have visited a number of great wineries in Napa, and Israel, but if you would like to experience the best explanation of the process by some of the warmest and most welcoming wine makers then check out Covenant Wines! We spent a beautiful afternoon with their team led by Managing Director, Sagie Kleinlerer, who is most knowledgeable. I was especially interested in the challenges posed by climate change. We also met the owners who were also very welcoming. If you are interested in how the best wines are made and want to spend an enjoyable and very informative afternoon then you should definitely visit and taste some of the best wines produced today!!“
