“This past year I've been exploring the Livermore Wineries, and one of my friends introduced me to Wood Family Vineyards. I've mainly been to outdoor wineries which can get chilly during the winter months, so the indoor tasting room was perfect for me. Right away, I felt a more home-y, intimate vibe from the staff at Wood Family Vineyards unlike the other wineries I had been to. The staff was incredible and even the owner was there, talking about his favorite wines and starting a conversation with us. You could feel the love and care they put into their craft, and I appreciated that. Every time I come back, I try a new wine that I love! Recently, I tried a rosé during a tasting and loved the tart flavor it had. I have yet to come when they are having live music, but can't wait to experience that too!“
“This is the best winery in Livermore. Period. Great wines. Sophisticated philosophy on winemaking. Amazing people, hospitality staff, and humble and friendly owners. These are such wonderful, warm people and 90++ wine that I go back weekly. Additionally, the owner and winemakers are pushing the needle and making great Napa Cabernet Sauvignon as well- Grape Culture. An incredible experience. I recommend everyone to join and experience this family!“
“I absolutely love this place. Not the stereotypical wines that you'll find in the valley. The tasting room has a cool vibe and the staff are equally as cool. I hope someday as I'm passing through I get a chance to meet the wine maker/owner.“
“Arrived on Barrel Tasting Weekend in Livermore 3/23. What a great experience and group of people. For non-oaky Chard lovers...this is a go to Chard! House red was great, merlot lovely and Petit Syrah was unique with Italian herb notes worth the try! Don't pass up this hidden gem! Reasonably priced tasting at $15!“
“Just left! Came the day after thanksgiving for my mom's bday. Kate was our pourer and she was very knowledgeable and nice. The wines are good and the space is inviting. $20 a tasting is not bad for the quality of wine. You can bring outside foods and pets. Such a chill vibe!“
“My favorite winery for an assortment of sparkling wines, brut, peach, raspberry, strawberry, and almond, and my absolute favorite the "panty dropper", a mix of almond sparkling and chocolate port. Stop by for their assortment of holiday decorations.“

One of Livermore's best, you cannot get a more intimate tasting experience than having the owner and winemaker pour wine and describe everything from the vineyard where the grapes were grown to the story behind the label and the winemaking process. The wine collection is consistently impressive, and the service is fantastic, with staff always willing to provide guidance on wine types. The quarterly Happy Camper release party is consistently enjoyable, featuring excellent food pairings. Additionally, the Friday night firepit live music events are always a hit.“
“Solid! Absolutely solid wine. The type where there wasn't really anything wrong with any of the wines. The type where you are pretty tempted to join because you just agree with how the winemaker is making wine. Going to have to come back again here to try the flight again after their next release to see if lightning strikes twice, in which case we'll have to join. Highly recommend if you're at the complex and trying to decide which of the little tasting rooms to check out. Also, if you do decide to join, they dedicate a lot of their space to a members only lounge in the bac, which is pretty fun.Loved the barbera wines the most - both the sparkling and the rose. Bought a few bottles of rose, which is rare because I find rose wine the most boring and one dimensional. But this rose of barbera was fun and interesting.“
