“Mitchell Katz is our favorite weekend winery, just a quick 45 minute drive from the south bay area. They have exceptional wines, we particularly love their reds. We have been wine club members for years and love the low-key vibe. We usually bring our kids and meet up with another friend family for wine and board games. Highly recommend for the family friendly vibe and for the exceptional quality of wines.“

“We had an amazing time at Charles Via Winery in Livermore! We visited with a group of friends and were able to enjoy a lovely picnic, which made the experience feel very private and special.
The setting is beautiful, and the wines were absolutely fantastic. The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the gazebo area—it gave us the perfect spot to relax, play our music, and truly enjoy quality time together.

“Nice small place. Non pretentious and pretty chill. Not the most hip place but the wine is very solid. The pricetag is also well below what this quality would normally go for. I've been to at least 20 different tastings in Livermore and I think this place is the best quality-price ratio in Livermore. I have been twice but not for many months but was prompted to suddenly leave a review because I'm drinking a bottle of their 2019 pinot and I'm shocked at how decent it is. 30 minutes to decant and it's very similar to Willamette pinot at what would be double the price. What a nice bottle. I almost feel lucky to have it.“
“Been here 3 times now since a family member is a wine club member. This is just a small tasting room, but their usually not packed and have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a section in the back that is for members only. There is only 1 bathroom though so plan accordingly.
They always start you off with a welcome glass of sparkling wine then you choose your tasting. There's 2 teasing options, a normal $20 or a higher end $60 one. Each with 4 normal sized pours, which are all given at once in little caraffes so you can taste at your own pace. Their wines are high quality, more red heavy, but they have a variety. Their style is more earthy, bold, barrel aged reds.
Service is always good. They allow outside food. Street parking is not too difficult. Check them out“

“Exceptional grounds with a warm and friendly atmosphere. There is plenty of parking and two lawns are maintained for tasting. There are both sun and shade areas. One of the lawns is family/children friendly, while the other is reserved for adults, which is appreciated by all. There is also an indoor space to order and taste. The reservation price is reasonable. The music played for ambiance is at an enjoyable volume, and does not distract from/interfere with conversation. There is a bocce ball court as well as a chicken coop. The staff is very pleasant, professional, and not pushy at all. We had a very enjoyable afternoon at this space and would highly recommend to others.“

“I love Visiting Wente with my son who is a wine member. We live in Bermuda and drink Wente here as our go to wine. However very disappointed that they have stopped serving the charcuterie boards. Now you get a complimentary plate with cheese and crackers. Very tacky! This is an upscale place to visit but needs to maintain its class! Come on not very difficult to prepare these plates. It’s not as if they are free.“
“I had a great time with my parents there. It is a small Vineyard if you compare to the ones in Napa but I had to for a meeting in Livermore so we visited Las Positas.
My parents share a flight and we ate 2 flatbreads. All good, we enjoyed family time.“

“We recently had our wedding at 3 Steves, and it was AMAZING! We've been members here for a while, but I'm using this as an excuse to finally leave a review.
I really think 3 Steves shines across the board. The views are spectacular, the wine is delicious, and the staff is unmatched. For the wedding, Jason was an amazing resource. Since one of the first decisions we made was to have our wedding at 3 Steves, he shared a bunch of information on local food vendors, planners, and other wedding services. He, like the rest of the staff, goes the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience.

“We've lived in Livermore since 2005. Every restaurant in this location has always been excellent, and Calamari seems to have not just matched -- but surpassed all of its predecessors.
All of their bread is baked fresh daily on the premises. I can't have gluten, but I deeply appreciate fresh-baked awesomeness for anyone I bring who *can* enjoy the gluntenisian delights. The spread / dip that comes with the bread is so delicious that I would eat it on just about anything.
(Yes, even that. And yes, I know what you're thinking. Pervert.)
They have many gluten-free options, and everything is incredibly delicious. Grilled octopus was our appetizer of choice, and holy cephalopod, Batman! Nummy nummies in our tummies!
I ordered the salmon, and I've never had better. Milady had the Beef Manti -- and I was desperately jealous for a bite, but it's a dumpling made with wheat. Those of you who have no gluten issues (and consume le beeves) will have a great time with this dish.
We went with a bottle of the legendary Yakut (13.5 ABV), and it was lovely. Next time we'll try one of the other Turkish wines on offer, because this is a region we have yet to explore.
Dessert was the rice pudding (perfection), will the Turkish coffee at a 20 year old Tawny port.
One of the best meals we've ever had. We will be back: this menu must be explored to the furthest extent possible.“
“You have restored my faith in Livermore wineries tasting experiences. So many of them have gone the way of Napa and Sonoma (ridiculous prices, stingy pours, crowded, impersonal). Rich is such a gracious host and the vineyard stories are fantastic. Wine is great and amazing selections for every pallet. Can’t wait to go back.“

We went to Fenestra to pick up our wine pickups on Dec 14th.
The staff there are always so nice and welcoming!
We were fortunate to get Valerie again as our pourer
Fenestra has always been so generous with their pours and the amount of wine you get to taste

“This is such a great winery! The reds are a little lighter than many Bordeaux blends, and they also have some ligher Italian reds. The Pinot Blanc is one of the best white wines I have ever had, and garden setting is perfect.
If you see some negative reviews here, you quickly notice that it was from a large group of peopke who brought their unruly kids. Kids don't belong at a winery and I appreciate RM keeping the environment peaceful.“
