“We had an amazing time at Charles Via Winery in Livermore! We visited with a group of friends and were able to enjoy a lovely picnic, which made the experience feel very private and special.
The setting is beautiful, and the wines were absolutely fantastic. The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the gazebo area—it gave us the perfect spot to relax, play our music, and truly enjoy quality time together.
If you're looking for a winery that’s less crowded and offers a more private, laid-back atmosphere, I would highly recommend this place. It’s perfect for a relaxing outing with friends!“
“Longevity Winery was a wonderful venue for our daughter’s and son in laws wedding and reception. The venue was absolutely perfect, and the wine was enjoyed by everyone!

“Been here 3 times now since a family member is a wine club member. This is just a small tasting room, but their usually not packed and have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a section in the back that is for members only. There is only 1 bathroom though so plan accordingly.
They always start you off with a welcome glass of sparkling wine then you choose your tasting. There's 2 teasing options, a normal $20 or a higher end $60 one. Each with 4 normal sized pours, which are all given at once in little caraffes so you can taste at your own pace. Their wines are high quality, more red heavy, but they have a variety. Their style is more earthy, bold, barrel aged reds.
Service is always good. They allow outside food. Street parking is not too difficult. Check them out“

“Nice small place. Non pretentious and pretty chill. Not the most hip place but the wine is very solid. The pricetag is also well below what this quality would normally go for. I've been to at least 20 different tastings in Livermore and I think this place is the best quality-price ratio in Livermore. I have been twice but not for many months but was prompted to suddenly leave a review because I'm drinking a bottle of their 2019 pinot and I'm shocked at how decent it is. 30 minutes to decant and it's very similar to Willamette pinot at what would be double the price. What a nice bottle. I almost feel lucky to have it.“
“Sakura Winery is my go-to spot! It’s the perfect pairing of great-tasting wines and small-town charm. The tasting room is beautiful and inviting, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. I love how Jennifer, the wonderful owner, brings the community together with creative workshops and fun Friday activities.
As a fellow small-business owner, I appreciate how supportive Jennifer is of other local businesses and how lovely she is to partner with for events. In addition to great wines, they serve tea, soda, snack packs, chocolates, and charcuterie boards. You can call ahead to order a charcuterie board and ensure one is available. They’ve also added afternoon tea, featuring a delicious assortment of tea sandwiches, sweets, and tea.

If you are around the outlets and want to have a quick break this is where you have to go.
The dogs are super friendly and the chickens are fat and fluffy full of feathers. They are lovely.“

“I love Visiting Wente with my son who is a wine member. We live in Bermuda and drink Wente here as our go to wine. However very disappointed that they have stopped serving the charcuterie boards. Now you get a complimentary plate with cheese and crackers. Very tacky! This is an upscale place to visit but needs to maintain its class! Come on not very difficult to prepare these plates. It’s not as if they are free.“
“I found a hidden gem!! This is by far my favorite winery in the livermore area. The location is absolutely beautiful and one of the owners (Rich) is incredibly personable, giving you that small town welcoming feel. They offer a wide variety of wines and even have a beer list for those non wine drinkers.
Another thing I love about this place is that it's affordable, with so many wineries in the area charging 40 dollars for a tasting of 4 wines (which is wild to me) here you can taste 10 wines for 30 dollars.
My only regret is not finding this place sooner!“
“Was there for an event. A 80th birthday party. Was wonderful outside venue under the shade of the multiple trees. Different wines had been purchased as well as soft drinks & water. Although temperatures in the 90's there was a nice breeze so was comfortable.“

“I had a great time with my parents there. It is a small Vineyard if you compare to the ones in Napa but I had to for a meeting in Livermore so we visited Las Positas.
My parents share a flight and we ate 2 flatbreads. All good, we enjoyed family time.“
“This is such a great winery! The reds are a little lighter than many Bordeaux blends, and they also have some ligher Italian reds. The Pinot Blanc is one of the best white wines I have ever had, and garden setting is perfect.
If you see some negative reviews here, you quickly notice that it was from a large group of peopke who brought their unruly kids. Kids don't belong at a winery and I appreciate RM keeping the environment peaceful.“
“I stopped by 3 Steves Winery after finishing a business trip in San Francisco, right before heading back to LA. I was craving a little nature and just wanted somewhere quiet where I could sit, relax, and slow down for a bit. ChatGPT recommended this place, and I’m so glad I came!
As soon as we arrived, a lovely server named Tracy welcomed us so warmly. She helped us choose a wine, explained everything, and even told us the story behind the name “3 Steves.” Apparently, the winery really was started by three guys named Steve! 😊
It was a hot day, so we ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and found a spot overlooking the hills. Sitting there with a gentle breeze, sipping cold sparkling wine and looking out at the peaceful scenery was exactly what I needed. It reminded me how precious it is to step away from busy city life once in a while and simply sit, breathe, and enjoy the moment.
Another thing I loved is that they allow you to bring in outside food. We picked up some Thai food nearby and enjoyed it with our wine while taking in the view.
Such a simple, peaceful, and memorable stop before heading back to LA. Great wine, beautiful surroundings, and especially warm hospitality from Tracy. I left feeling completely refreshed.“

“Our son, Taylor, and his wife, Stephanie, took us there when we visited with them recently. It isn't fancy compared to some other restaurants. But what it lacks in atmosphere, it sure makes up in food quality, a friendly and attentive owner and staff. The food is spot on, and reasonably priced with the Char-Grilled Branzino, (served whole or deboned) and the Baby Lamb Chop (actually, it should be plural, as there are more than one) as amazing standouts, and all served with perfectly cooked vegetables. I can't wait to eat there again. It is now my favorite restaurant in Livermore. Do yourself a favor and give it a try - I'm sure you will enjoy it as well.“

“I've not visited the vineyard and hope to soon. Writing this in appreciation because my favorite wine shop in Oakland, The Wine Mine, sells their Pinot Noir which has been a favorite of mine for years. So hopefully on one of those days for my girlfriend and I go driving around we hope to visit.

“Mitchell Katz is our favorite weekend winery, just a quick 45 minute drive from the south bay area. They have exceptional wines, we particularly love their reds. We have been wine club members for years and love the low-key vibe. We usually bring our kids and meet up with another friend family for wine and board games. Highly recommend for the family friendly vibe and for the exceptional quality of wines.“
