“This is an absolute gem. I love them so much. I used to come here all the time when I still lived in the area. Their food is absolutely delicious and so healthy. Their staff are so kind and hardworking. This establishment is doing God's work and I'm so happy to know they're still up and running. I loved all their soups, salads, tofu stir fry, lentil meatloaf, & sandwiches! Def recommend this place to everyone.”

“Great outdoor seating. Bunch of benches on a concrete slap with flexible shade cover. Of all the ones I'd been - Culver, Burbank, Little Tokyo, this one has the largest parking of 9 spaces + 1 handy! Same for the overall patio seating space. This location is much much quieter than the other roadside seatings. I always lean toward the thick square pie. Not disappointed but had to say the Burbank location is saucier. The meat lover I had was spotty with sauce, at least for this visit. Nonetheless it is still excellent. It's not cheap at 2-3x + nationally chain prices. Occasional visit and savor the moment is what I could do. Stick with bread and pizza.”

“Good service Nice place It’s a good place to enjoy the coffee”
“Classic Street Taco stand. Al pastor on a spit, asada, cabeza, lengua and tripas. You can also get your choice of meat over a baked potato. Good is generally tasty, although I thought the pastor was a little oversalted on my visit last night.”
“Really enjoy the pizza here - I find it unique for the area. Not quite sure how to describe it but the sauce has a bit of sweetness, the cheese is gooey, and the dough is fluffy. It's almost a cross between pan and thin crust. Very different from the pizza Joe and family used to make, but I like both.”

“This is the 2nd time I have visited the coffee shop. It's a small but mighty space, they have beautiful plants, a nice selection of pastries and breakfast options. Their back space is beautiful, with plenty of seating!”

“This is our local pub; we don't order wine (of which they have a nice selection), but they have a few European beers on tap that are quite good (including Guinness). They also have bottled beer if you prefer. This is a family owned pub (also "1881" on Washington/ Allen in East Pasadena), & you can usually catch owners Gail (sorry if I misspelled!) & Judah "Ben Hur." Actually he looks more like Mick Fleetwood and you can sit at the bar and have a chat with him if you want. I just like to say"Judah Ben-Hur" from the movie BEN HUR (1960?). Great service & vibe. Not fancy, just a great neighborhood pub to have a beer or two (I recommend several, if you have a designated driver). There is actually 3 areas you can drink- at the bar, a room for a few parties, and a secluded outdoor area for smokers in the back. It's quite cool & we feel at home there. If you live in Altadena/Pasadena on the west side (on Fair Oaks North of Woodbury) this is the bar for you. They also have pizza which is quite good. Judah is English, Gail from Chicago, and they have family that help out. It's a great little ace! Check it out! I'll be there tonight- look for the good looking older gent with the Roy Orbison glasses. He can be quite entertaining!”
“If you’re looking for a great place to eat, this is it! Their chicken fried rice bowl with teriyaki sauce is amazing, and the portions are huge—perfect for leftovers. The menu has plenty of options, the staff is friendly, and service is fast. Ordering online is easy, and my food is always ready in 15 minutes or less. Hands down, my favorite hibachi spot in LA—highly recommend!”

“The food is ??? sooo good. I hope they grow a lot and are able to hire more because service was a little slow but totally worth it. Happy to support a local business. I'll definitely be back.”
“I really enjoyed the papusas here! Love that everything is made to order. They were also super sweet and gave me a free drink for being the first customer of the day! I’ll be back to try more, thanks!! ?”
“Great option for late night taco stand.
$2.50 per taco. $11 per torta. Fresh salsas, onions, cilantro, lime and cucumbers. I like their pastor and asada.”

“To be a "hole in the wall" restaurant, to me, is better than a Michelin Star. Michelin Star restaurants take you on a trip. Places like Lucy's feels like Home.”

“Nice family ran place. Food was really good.
Orders came out a little mixed up, but the people that took us there said that was usual.
I liked the place, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go again.
Check it out if you are in the area.”

“Our group of four had a lovely time at Miya! We ordered the chicken khao soi, beef pad see ew, beef panang, and morning glory. All were wonderful dishes and they arrived at our table pretty quickly. It’s more important than ever to patronize these kinds of small businesses, particularly considering their location in Altadena. Highly recommend!”
