“The Anaheim location is a must visit anytime I’m in Southern California (yes, I will drive out of my way to come to this specific location).
the food, the staff, the atmosphere, it feels like your local spot even if you’re not a local.
for anyone who hasn’t had Zankou’s before my tried and true recommendations:
- Tri Trip Shawarma Plate with hummus, basmati rice and garden salad (or Tabbouleh if you don’t order on the side).
- Multiple side orders of Falafel
- Garlic & Tahini
- lots of pita“

“I was surprised that this sandwich shop was so good and clean.
Big franchise sandwiches have changed. They used to give you quality meats and a good portion. But not anymore. Sandwich Plus is what sandwiches used to taste like, homemade. Fresh quality meat and cheese, fresh lettuce, and tomato. First time there, but from now on, this is my sandwich shop.“
