“I’m giving 4 stars even though more went wrong than went right. I hope this feedback can help this place succeed because it has potential.
Starting off, my partner and I both ordered a Coke, but the server came back to the table, explaining it was too “watery”. We were given Sprite instead.
My partner ordered the shrimp po boy, but was given the catfish po boy.
I ordered the catfish and was asked if I wanted ranch dressing with it. I asked for tartar sauce and was told they don’t have tartar sauce. They served it with a remoulade. As a Southern transplant, I love a good remoulade, but that does not go with catfish 🫤.
The food came out pretty quickly, but I was disappointed there was only one piece of catfish. In the South, you’d get 2 (minimum) or 3-4 pieces of fish.
I didn’t want a meal of mostly fries, so I left hungry (personally, would love to see a side of mac+cheese or a side salad option).
Our meal was over $65 for two people and we only got 1/4 of what we ordered. As we ate, our drinks were never refilled and the server never checked on our table again because he seemed to be the only one working.
Also worth noting - we sat in the back and the restrooms smelled awful!! I am not advocating for the restaurant to mask the smell with a bunch of air fresheners, but they desperately need to pour some bleach or vinegar down the floor drains to eliminate the mildew.
Not a great first impression, but I’d give it another chance because I am always looking for good Southern food in Northern California.“

“We had all sorts of pizza from them and they were all delicious 😋 the whole extended family and family couldn’t resist. They are 100% better than the dominoes. There wasn’t a piece left out of 6 pizzas. And they also put them in a thermal bag to keep them hot till I got back to wallangarra. Great food 👍🏻👍🏻“

“We tried Lumberjacks again today after reading reviews on the Redding Restaurant Review and hearing they had new management and we were very impressed! The new manager, I believe his name tag said Gary was very personable, he was greeting folks as they came in and left. The food was hot, fresh and back to the normal portion sizes they used to have. We had stopped going due to poor management and just complete lack of customer care with the old manager. We will definitely be back! New management and team are wonderful 👏 😀.“

“Description of food did not include that vinegar is utilized in the recipe for San Francisco Joe’s Scramble. The vinegar so dominated the dish that I was unable to take more than one bite. Took home in hope other family might enjoy. Rest of meal was great. Bought fresh baked sliced loaf of bread to take home. Service Stellar!“

“I was instantly greeted by a friendly waitress who let me pick my place to eat. Drink was out fast and was ready to order food. I ordered the firecracker fish tacos, which came out timely. They were delicious, probably the best I've had. Was a very pleasant dinner but pretty pricey.“

If you haven’t had a Dude’s upside down cone in a cup soft serve 🍦 you are missing out on something very special and the kids that serve you are genuinely good people. “We come here about once a month now. Great place for kids as the train above will keep them entertained. I ordered the $20.00 1lb burger as seen in the picture and you can add all kinds of toppings! Also comes with 1 of 4 sides. Needless to say I had to cut it down in pieces that I could eat with one hand. The bun is even freshly made!“

“Damburger is one of the best places in Redding CA to get a burger, shake and fries. I personally have been going there on and off for over thirty year's. Always had the best experience with employees and owners. Everyone at Damburger has always been an absolute delight and extremely helpful.“

“This was our first time to In-N-Out burger Although the front was fairly clean and organized. The workers were nice and friendly. However the bathrooms are deplorable. For a restaurant this size and this caliber, the restrooms should be in much better.“

“Dinner date for our 9 year anniversary was absolutely perfect thanks to Mike at Cafe Paradisio! Everything was delicious, we had reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival, didn’t wait even 2 minutes for water and our drink order. I had red wine and husband had a beer both came out at the same time promptly. We ordered our dishes and while waiting for our meals we could hear other guests around us gushing in joy about how amazing their dishes were! Once ours arrived we dug in and then HAD to try eachothers too; both were above and beyond incredible! If you haven’t been you need to go! We will now be making this our date night place! “This is an amazing spot for breakfast. Parking is difficult in larger trucks unless you park on the street which we did. The Eggs Benedict was the best I’ve ever had, the hollandaise was the perfect consistency and the ham was flavorful. The waitress was very attentive and kind. My husbands corned beef hash was very tasty. Pastrami sandwich very flavorful. Highly recommend the fresh cinnamon roll too - only complaint is the price. I had a couple kids who ordered the small kids meals(eggs + 1 piece of bacon or sausage), along with hot chocolates (which have to be $5+ a piece) plus our two coffees and the bill was over $100. Not expected but very high quality and wonder I service, so it’s worth the extra penny. We will definitely be back the next time we come through Redding!🍳 🤤

Ps. We did see a man punching himself in the face in the gas station parking lot next door, harassing everyone trying to get gas. Also a large homeless population in this area so, you know, always be aware of your surroundings“

“Waffle bites is a nice, friendly place to grab a bite. I have been for lunch, but breakfast is my favorite. Their food is good and great portion sizes. I have even had their food delivered and their packaging is done well, compared to other places I've ordered from. “I ordered the buffalo boneless wings . Originally i was super irritated because, the man who took my order said it was about 8/9 wings and for $16 that's crazy . I actually got like 21 boneless wings and a few of them were huge , tasted great and two cups of ranch . it's blocked off in a more private seating area so people out on the casino floor aren't looking in at you eating which is great . Definitely will be going here just for wings“

“Shasta County has a few examples of multi genre food restraunts. They're kind of the precursor to the whole fusion thing. Papi's offers Mexican, American and Chinese food and honestly does a good job at all three. Great place to get food for a big group. They have a drive through and you can order inside which is nice when you have a big vehicle that won't fit through the driveway. Gets busy when the high school is out. I have never eaten anything there that I didn't like and they are reasonably priced and you definitely a good value for what you pay .

Kid-friendliness: Small place but always friendly and welcoming. They have a variety of food so if you have a kid that wants a burrito, another that wants a hambuger and you want chicken teriyaki than this is the place for you. All of the different options are definitely good and makes for an easy one stop shop for a family.“
