“I ordered the vegan mendocino. You can't order it by the slice, you have to pay for the whole pie. It only took about 10-15 minutes for them to make. Although, it was kinda pricey about $30 for a 12". It was super garlicky and delicious, the cheese had a nice flavor and texture, but I felt like it needed just a tad bit of salt. I really enjoyed the fresh tomato sauce and fresh basil on top. Anyway, I'm super stoked that there's vegan pizza available near my home. There's 2 more vegan pizzas, so I'll be back to try those too. Updated from previous review on 2025-01-09“
“I would recommend their deep dish pizza. The sauce has a lot of flavor.“

“We ordered a takeout pizza 20 minutes before closing as we were driving into Aptos. The staff was very accommodating and said they would be there when we were to arrive in 25 minutes. They had the pizza ready and it was very good. Great job Pizza 1 Aptos!“

“I took my elderly Dad here for a little bite of lunch and it was quite excllent, we were both very pleased.
It was around 1 or so and my dad was craving Mexican food on our visit and he was sure there was a place at Deer Park Shopping Center (I think thats the name). We didnt find Mexican food but we did find Mangiamo, a little cozy place. It really reminds me of the tiny spots my family would go to in MX, LA, old school San Diego and old school Santa Cruz. Those places that are informal, laid back, interesting and you only know it's there if you already know its there. And boy are you cool if you know its there. (Maybe they need a bigger sign?)
The food was amazing! Our calzones were made fresh to order. The dough was perfectly cooked with no raw spots in the thicker parts and no burnt spots in the thinner parts. The cheese was tasty and melty but not runny or messy. The vegetables were cooked yet crunchy, if you have a pizza or calzone and the veggies are mushy it means they are not fresh! Crunch means the vegetables are fresh. Me and my father both liked how the crust looked. It reminded us of the way grandma would crimp her pie crusts. If there was one thing I could change it would be the marinara sauce that came on the side, I would use thinner sauce kept at a warmer temperature. Although part of me thinks that the cold thick sauce was meant to cool off the hot dough fresh out of the oven, since thats what I found myself doing. That being said I still give the food 5 stars. Reasonable price and nice portion size too.
The service was good. I think only one person was working (it was Labor Day) and if someone was helping them it would have been an easy 5 stars. I dont give them 4 stars as anything against them bc I worked a pizza place alone in Felton and it is very challenging to keep customers service at 5 stars in that situation. I do think they did the very best they could for us though, we were not the only customers there and they spoke respectfully to my father, ++. Only thing I would change for service is giving support to the employees bc they were doing their best multitasking.
There wasnt a lot of art or decor on the walls, no TV either. But it was very clean and organized for being such a small place. I did not check out their bathroom but they did have one available. After we left I looked at their pictures online and it makes me wonder if this place is sun downing? If they are PLEASE GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! ITS A GREAT PLACE! And if not I think its a good idea to spend a lil money on decor. The atmosphere could be boosted easily in one day with a trip to Ross or Marshalls.
One last note: More beer and wine would be cool. Maybe bc its in a semi-business park that they can only serve a lil bit of alcohol? Not sure but more beer and wine on the menu would be great.
And
There was a lil family eating when we were leaving, seems like a nice lil spot for mom and dad to have a drink with the kids.
All in all its an easy 4.5 stars for a young man and his elderly father. Now that I know this is here next to my dads place I look forward to having more 'zones for lunch, not sure how late they are open but maybe we'll get some pies for dinner too. This seems like a place for locals by locals, its more personal than Pizza My Heart with the same if not better quality.
Go check em out!“

“My family and I have been getting Pizza, cheese burgers and teriyaki pineapple chicken sandwiches from Village Host for 28+ years! Always fresh and tasty cuisine! The high quality of food and value of the customers has been passed down from manager to manager through the years.“

“Fourth time here and still left impressed. Pizza, gnocchi, ragu, and sole dishes were fantastic. Didn leave room for desert but tried the strawberry and cream and lemon curd, anyway. Glad we did. Drinks were great too. Nice enough for a date night. Casual enough to be a great neighborhood hang. 10/10.“

“I might recommend this place for its pies & pastries, but not their coffee offerings. I guess they don’t get many requests for mochas because what I got was mostly milk with a splash of coffee & zero chocolate. Getting it iced costs another 50¢, which I’ve never seen before. They really don’t promote their coffee beverages, so…. Hopefully your experience will be better.“
