The Dan Dan Noodles were the BEST I’ve ever had, the spicy beef soup, the pork dumplings — everything is delicious! And CeCe, the beautiful owner, was so generous and boxed up some to go food “on the house”. Will definitely try the other Mians!“

“After a traumatizing experience in a nearby Dosa restaurant, we were very skeptical to try Bhimas Veg (for which we had a lot of recommendations from our friends) Tried yesterday, it was a breath of fresh air! AUTHENTIC REAL SAMBHAR!! We ordered Gobi Manchurian as a starter and tried Idli Sambhar, ghee masala dosa, gajar (carrot) halwa, madras tea and filter coffee. Each dish was 10/10. Our server Mr. Devi Karki was so professional, attentive and friendly. Each staff seemed to love their work and were attending to all their customers. Hands down the best Sambhar in the town!! Would definitely come back very often!!! And by the way Tirupathi Bhimas and Bhimas Indian Veg is the same restaurant!!

Thai is my favorite cuisine, but as we were not too hungry on a Sunday evening we decided to do something light instead of full meal. We ordered the veg Tom Yum soup which was a large dish and good for more than two people. Hence stayed with one starter each - egg rolls and chicken satay.

“I think this is a good place to dine in for lunch, dinner with friends and family. The service, food, and banchan were good. They were served warm, which gave a similar feeling to a homemade meal. What we ordered:

Haemul Pajeon (Seafood Pancake) (5/5): the pancake was well seasoned. There was a balance between the amount of squids, shrimps, and the onions. It was crunchy, easy to eat, and combined well with the dipping provided.

Crisp Garlic Tofu Bites (4/5): like its name, crisp and crunchy. The inside was stuffed and not hollow.

Original Soon Tofu (4/5): I thought the broth was light and soothing, but definitely not bland. I really enjoyed it with the steamed rice, fluffy and sticky...yum yum.“

Tampopo Restaurant has been a long term tenant at the Artesia City Plaza. I remember dining at the prior occupant (Sushi Samurai, I believe), many years ago. Originally planning to dine at Katsumura, only to find they're not open Mondays, Tampopo became Plan B for some sustenance.

Tampopo ramen & gyoza lunch special-
Priced at $14.95, the Tampopo ramen & gyoza lunch special was a good deal. The broth was thinner than what was expected, and the ramen wasn't al dente (more spaghetti-like) to my preference. However, the bowl of soup had an ample amount of food with three thick slabs of tender pork belly.

The gyoza provided a nice textural contrast to the ramen, and were pleasurable to eat.

Service was good. Seating was readily available and the wait was minimal for food. Parking is at the Artesia City Plaza, which can become quite difficult to find during peak hours. Tampopo is located in-between Bakers & Baristas & Sweetee Thai.

Not ramen quite comparable to a dedicated ramen shop, Tampopo's ramen & gyoza lunch special is still a bargain for a filling meal. Things are expensive now, so I find Tampopo's reasonable pricing & ample quantities and good choice when in search of a meal option in the area.“

For those that grew up with Korean Chinese food, this place is just like what you remember from back in the day. I usually don't order Mongolian beef as most times, the meat is very chewy, but it wasn't here. It was tender and flavored very nicely. We also ordered the Noodles with Black Bean Sauce Noodle aka Jajangmyeon. I liked it but it wasn't great. My family on the other hand thought that it was great. The Sweet & Sour pork and the Fried Shrimp with hot garlic sauce were crunchy despite us ordering to go. Their portion size was also good. I find most places charge more AND reduce the portion size but here, although the prices did increase, the portion size is still good. That's a big plus in my book. Overall, I would come back here again and would recommend it to others.“

Their rice plates have rice that is better than most Asian restaurants I’ve been too. It’s very tender!
