“Chinese Kitchen, is excellent I ordered 2 three combination plates . The food was great the lady behind the counter was very helpful too me. This was my first time going here. I was very satisfied with the amount of food I received and the quality and flavor of my food. At today's prices I thought the prices were very fair . Yes I will definitely be returning .“

“This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is always fresh and delicious. The other reviews claiming that Panda is better clearly indicates that they don’t know what good Chinese food tastes like. Panda is ok in a pinch, but I would definitely rather eat here. It is a small, family run business, so sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. My husband is Chinese and this is authentic, Cantonese style, Chinese food. Also the complaints about price are way off base, because they have large portions and we always have a lot of leftovers. Some of our favorites are teriyaki chicken, chicken chow fun, tomato beef chow mein with pan fried noodles, steamed fish fillet, coconut shrimp (no batter) chicken chow mein, pot stickers, sizzling rice soup, etc..I am gluten intolerant and they have always been conscientious of that, when I asked, recommending gluten friendly options. We have never had a bad meal here whether we dine in or do takeout.“

“My family has gone here for years, anyone can have an off day, I've never had one here. The food is great, I can take the buffet to go & still order things not at the buffet at the same time. The portions are well worth the money.

Parking: In front of restaurant, across the street & a parking lot (free) across the street.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of places to sit the kids, they have high chair seats, special items on menu for kids.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in & out & they help dish you up if you want.“

“I really enjoy panda express.i get the plate with double orange chicken and half rice and half noodles. It sure is a nice change than just a cheese burger and fries. The service is great and the prices seem to be cheaper than a burger and fries. All panda express that I have gone to is always the same. Great service and food.“

“This is a great place for cheap Chinese food. The qaulity is decent, and the service is very friendly. Edit: Updating to 5 stars, this is in my top two fav Chinese places in Merced. Can't beat the value for the price here.

“This place has delicious food . I got the sweet and sour pork combo and the pork was good with perfect breading and the vegetables were perfect the sauce was good and not to sweet. Also the chow main was so good light ,I also love the bean sprouts they put in it . Also got the Kung Pao chicken combo and the chicken was good and juicy, the vegetables were cook good . The rice fried rice was good also . And combos come with a egg roll . Very crunchy and fresh. But the star of everything was the Pot stickers appetizers the best I've had. The service was great and the black tea very delicious. Update had the special chow fun and it was delicious it had chicken, beef and shrimp with bean sprouts. Also the customer service is great .“

“This place changed hands and got a complete makeover in June 2025. IT IS SOOO GOOD.

We ordered many items off the traditional menu: Cold Tofu Salad, Crispy Pork Belly, Leaf wrapped Fried Rice, Stir Fried Choy Sum w/ Garlic, Mango Pudding, Mango Smoothie, Hong Kong Milk Tea.

ALL of it was some of the best food in Merced, and at an amazing price. I am moving away from Merced and truly sad to not eat here!“
