“If you come for a takeout meal for the family, I recommend the Special House Fried Rice and Special House Chow Mein. Me and my family have always ordered this for years since we came to Madera. Some of the bad reviews come from a long time ago when they were closed for a while and switched management. During those times it did seem like the food was mediocre and the service was lacking, but they did change management again and it's back to being great. The food is back to being better than I remember it and the service is great. Very friendly work staff and the wait isn't long. Best Chinese restaurant in Madera in my honest opinion.

Parking: It's at the corner of a shopping center so the parking is massive.

Kid-friendliness: Decorations all over the restaurant are modest and nice. They have a coin machine near the door for a game I think dispenses balls. They have high chairs for children as well.“

“Incredible atmosphere and great quality food. Occasionally, they tend to be rather shortstaffed so depending on when you arrive to the restaurant, you might wait for around 20 minutes or so would definitely recommend bringing a book to read or something to play with to pass the time. as for the pricing, I would say it’s incredibly justified. I paid around $30 for both chicken fried rice and me me me both of which were really big servings and it took me an entire two days to finish the food.

Still, I strongly recommend this for people who are looking for a nice place to eat out or, just wanting to grab some thing that will quite literally last you a couple days depending on how much food you consume. In short, five stars.

Vegetarian options: Like most Chinese restaurants, Liu’s Village does have vegetarian options to choose from. most of the time, it’ll consist of chow mein and rice without any meat whatsoever, and I believe there are also some soups that they sell that are considered vegetarian.

Parking: While this establishment does have parking, it’s pretty small, so you’re most likely gonna be parking by the curb, depending on how busy it gets.“

Mi Amor Chinese •
1430 E Yosemite Ave, Madera

“Went to “Mi Amor” today to buy a shirt and as I was changing I seen this thinking it was a camera so I felt very uncomfortable I was getting a anxiety attack and was trying to change back into my clothes very quickly. I came out and spoke to the lady owner and politely (and mind you I’m not a rude person & never complain) asked her why she have a camera in the fitting rooms and she went off yelling at me saying I’m a crazy lady in front of the whole store while families were shopping. Said it was a light, but even if it was a light was it wrong for me to think it was a camera? She also commented “because crazy people like you will call the cops” which I never stated I was going to call the police. Now in days I can’t trust people and that’s why I was concerned. Not even her workers didn’t defend her. I was very very calm about this and kept telling her “it’s ok I believe you” and still she kept yelling saying I’m crazy. I just can’t believe as a owner this would happen. Very very disappointed. This store definitely shouldn’t be open with this type of business owners. I will never come to this store ever again.“

“China kitchen is one of those hole in the wall restaurants that are absolutely stellar. It’s a restaurant that you take your family, date, friend, and just about anyone that’s into Chinese food. The prices are on par for what you would expect at any given Chinese restaurant, but it’s still worth it overall. The food is fresh and of a high-quality, unlike a certain overpriced buffet here in the city of Madera.

Still, I must stress the fact that it is indeed a hole in the wall restaurant so if it gets incredibly busy, do expect a lack of seats, especially during weekends and holidays when other families dining in as well.“
