“This awesome Chinese food mom & pop restaurant shop is a pretty small hidden gem in Visalia and you wouldn't even know about it and probably passed by it many times on Mooney boulevard. 😎 Well partially due to the Restaurant name Gumbo. 🤭 But this old school family owned restaurant cooks the best Chinese food in town and they deserve the business!!! 👏 👏 💯% 👌 🙌 👏 👍 The price range is very affordable and they cook the food in a legit giant wok with flames bussing just like in the films now. 😀 They got the large variety of delicious morsels in their menu to choose from. 😋 I highly-qualified recommend the Spicy Mongolian beef combo meal. 😊“

“So glad we went back to New China Chinese restaurant! Absolutely delicious. I’ve never seen pot stickers like this at other restaurants, crispy and tasty! The orange chicken was a pleasant delight. Not many restaurants can pull off a good orange chicken, but they DID! Juicy chicken, fried outside, wonderful sauce! All around a very satisfying meal for a great price! ❤️❤️❤️🥟“

“I might not be fair in my assessment of the atmosphere, for I've only done take-out. What's important here is how good the food is. Really good, and lots of it. I've only scratched the surface on the menu, but I intend to check off a lot of it in the future, especially any crispy items. If I can find fault, it would be that the spicy isn't spicy enough.“

“Only been here a few times but I’ve never had a bad meal. The food is really good, served piping hot and huge portions. It’s a quiet little spot with plenty of seating and parking. I usually get their combo dinners but am looking forward to trying some of their a la cart entrees in the future! Will be back for sure!“

“Called in 2 family meals but only had time to give them about an hour. They accepted the order but ended up providing about 20 minutes after agreed pick up time. Restaurant was clean and customer service over the phone and while paying were all really good. They forgot my forks and napkins. I wish I could give this a 4.5. Overall a good experience.“

“We found this buffet on our way to the Sequoias and definitely was not disappointed! Enjoyed pretty much everything i put in my plates. Especially enjoyed the muscles omggg, the coconut pineapple shrimp, just every single item i had was worth it in every aspect! Met a local there who comes every weekend or so. “Solid, predictable, and hits when you need it

The Panda Express in Visalia does exactly what it’s supposed to do — quick, reliable American-Chinese takeout.

The flavors are familiar, nothing overly special or local, but you know what you’re getting and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. I went with the teriyaki chicken and super greens, and it absolutely scratched that “I-need-a-protein-hit-now” itch.

Only minor gripe is the wait time for fresh/hot items — can be a little slow depending on when you walk in. But honestly, that’s just how Panda works, not a knock on this location in particular.

If you’re not chasing authenticity and just want a dependable fast meal, this place gets the job done.

“Panda Express, May 8th 2025 I came here this afternoon at 4:26 pm for some delicious 🤤 chinese food so I got the Orange Chicken & Walnut Glaze Shrimp & Broccoli & Beef & all Chow Maine & two Spring Rolls & a bag of 🥠 fortune cookies in which I didn't know that they still give you one with your order because a lot of Panda Express's don't anymore! I also really appreciated that the young lady had helped me to check if I had money still on two of my gift cards from (Christmas) & there was $25 on one & the other one had $20 so Thank You so very much for your help!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s & 💯%+ Great Job!
