Max's really does hit the spot! Their Halo-Halo is perfect for cooling down, and that Fried Chicken—so crispy outside, juicy inside. And don’t even get me started on the Crispy Pata—sinfully good. Are you planning a visit soon or just craving hard right now?
This Max’s In Bakersfield is a bomb. The serving is huge and delicious. Very clean. The waiters are friendly. I loved almost everything in their menu. Aside from eating there I also ordered extra to take home.
They never failed my expectations.
Guys come and see it for yourself.
If you’re looking for authentic delicious Filipino food, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Based on customer reviews, Max’s Restaurant Bakersfield serves Cuisine of the Philippines with flavorful and authentic food. The staff is friendly, polite, and welcoming, and the place has a comfortable, family-style vibe. The food is excellent and tastes very similar to food from the Philippines. Popular menu items include Pork Sinigang, Halo-halo, pancit canton, and Taho dessert. However, customers note that portions for some dishes, like the sisig and kare kare, are small for a high price, making it feel like a rip-off. While the service is great and the atmosphere is nice with music playing, there can be a long wait for food, with some customers waiting 45 minutes to an hour. It is suggested to allow enough time for the wait. Despite these issues, it is a favorite sit-down restaurant in Bakersfield and a spot customers would come back to.
