“This is a five star review from someone who doesn’t even like beer. The bartenders here are either very good at what they do or performing some kind of sorcery, but somehow they always manage to find something that I enjoy!
The beer selection on tap and in the fridge is super broad, really high quality, and constantly changing; the atmosphere is laid back; you can bring your own food in; and dogs are allowed! Their regular trivia nights and other events are always a good time as well.

“This is my favorite bar in the Bay Area. Love the chill vibes, and love the drinks even more. Lightweights beware, some of the cocktails are sneaky strong...
My only nitpick is that good parking options are limited- there are metered street spaces across the street, otherwise the nearest Walnut Creek garage is a five minute walk away. Avoid the neighboring garages as those cost an arm and a leg.“

“Tony the owner has done a terrific job in creating a local rotating craft beer house. The staff are tremendously friendly, samples are always available before you get a full pint! Sunday Funday is my favorite, with live music until 5pm. Great place to hangout, have some awesome fried cheese curds and wings, kid friendly as well. Checks all the boxes!“

“Had a great time. Other bars were closing at 9pm on a Sunday and these guys were open until 2. I've been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. Tucked away in a parking lot off of the main street. Turn down sos drive and left into the parking lot halfway down the hill, and you'll find it.“
“This place was the single redeeming thing in the area. I got stuck in this commercial cesspool for four and a half hours and wandered around for 3 of them trying to find decent food worth the price or some store that wasn't marked up for garbage. No dice. Finally found this place tucked away, so thankful. Had a couple drinks and chatted with old locals. Definitely support this place. In general I'll be avoiding the area but if I ever find myself there again I'll definitely go in for a drink and to get a brake from the depressing retail area outside.“

“I had a takeout pizza from this restaurant last night first of all the customer service was absolutely excellent. The person that answered the phone had a really pleasant customer focused manner , nothing was too much trouble and he was so polite. The pizza was absolutely amazing , I hate anything that is too heavy and it was so light and lovely , the ingredients tasted extremely fresh , I would 100% recommend this place based upon my first experience and I will be back thanks so much 🥰“

“Hops & Scotch is a great spot with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it perfect for any weather. Drinks are well-made, with a solid selection of cocktails and beers. Service can be a bit slow when busy, but the staff is friendly.

“I live in the area and usually come out on average once a month. There are lots of different types of shows, my favorite being the disco, 80s, and classic rock nights. There is a great taco truck that sells the most delicious steak and birria tacos ever. As a woman I always feel safe and comfortable here knowing there are plenty of security and workers always around to help if ever needed. I'll be celebrating my Birthday here in March and cannot wait! If you like live music, or live near by, definitely check it out!“

“Had our Saturday Thanksgiving with the family here and not only did they accommodate for about 30 people, but the service was excellent! Everyone who helped us was obviously a team player because everything came out seamlessly!

“While I hate to cheat on Martinez, CJ's is a larger, more sophisticated but not too, version of our once Ferry Street and a far less dysfunctional version of Whiskey Lane, the latter of which I frequented to write until I found CJs where you can meet new great people, or sit in your corner and write. All folks are good folks at CJs. And that's my run on sentence on that matter.“

“Food is good, but not the best. Liked the burrito bowl with the marinated chicken and the chicken soup. They have accommodated my entire family (18 total) a few times and are always flexible with us, which we all really appreciate! The service is fantastic! This last time was for my mother's birthday and they stored the cake we brought with us AND brought it out for us out of the box with the candles burning. 🎉 So sweet! (I don't know if they do that all the time, as it wasn't during a busy time. 😉)“

“Kinda celebrating... It was my first time on my own, and I decided to eat at the nearby Chillis🌶 I have Autism and social anxiety... I asked for a booth in the back... but they did not forget about me. It was loud, but I was comfortable enough, and they regularly checked on me but not overbearing. Round 1 FIGHT!! Patrón Rita BLACKBERRY I decided to go with this because it's purple 💜 that's all, LMAO weird, I know, but whatever Round 2 Ancho Salmon, this was very flavourful and made to perfection with a slight kick of spice. The vegetable medley helped with taste. DELICIOUS!!! Mexican Rice, this was a fuffly and seasoned just enough. Anymore would be overkill. Steamed Broccoli, This was very soft and lightly coated with Round 3 Patrón Rita WILDBERRY loved it, but I loved the BLACKBERRY Final Round... Cheesecake 🍰 served over Strawberry 🍓 Puree The cheesecake was perfect without the Puree, I was asked if I wanted the drizzle or not, I opted for it but felt like it was wasted as I ate the cheesecake while most of the Puree was still on my plate. All in all, the CUSTOMER SERVICE was above and beyond par. 5 of 5 stars 💜💜💜💜💜 I truly enjoyed myself“

“It is a wonderful place I know the father and his sons. They are wonderful people, they're always very kind very polite very pleasant always smiling! If anybody needs a cab they call you a cab, they play great music and that's where I used to love to go and listen to the music, though it's been a long while that I have been there, but they've always greeted me when I walked in. Im hoping to go there soon in hopes that my favorite guys are still running the place Gabriel and his brother to say hello! ❤️?❤️?❤️“
