I lived in SF forever and moved out to the East Bay a few years back and this place is equal to or beyond some of the best beer cafes in the city. “I had a takeout pizza from this restaurant last night first of all the customer service was absolutely excellent. The person that answered the phone had a really pleasant customer focused manner , nothing was too much trouble and he was so polite. The pizza was absolutely amazing , I hate anything that is too heavy and it was so light and lovely , the ingredients tasted extremely fresh , I would 100% recommend this place based upon my first experience and I will be back thanks so much 🥰“

He 100% made these 2 Texans feel welcomed. A few other regulars were too kind and fun as well!! We really enjoyed this place. “We stopped by this bar while in the area and it was a pleasant surprise. The drinks, the food were all top notch! My favorite was the Shrimp tacos and the whiskey flight. I got the whiskey flight named eagle rare off the menu which was pretty nice to sip as we all sat by the fireplace outside. Hops & Scotch has both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of parking spots around the surrounding area. The staff was awesome and friendly will definitely come here again whenever we are in the area.“

“I come here a lot even though it's an hour's drive each way.
It's my favorite place for watching live music in the whole bay area. Great 90s and 80s cover bands, decent sound system (some sound guys could do better preventing the upper bass drone), great 80s decor and vibes, good drinks, very fair prices, and the bands don't start or end too late. The DJ music after the band is good stuff. And the crowd is always energetic, appreciative, and a lot of fun. For example, the band that played Joy Division and New Order, played deep cuts that real fans love, and the crowd was ecstatic!“
