It seems the chef experiments with new items seasonally and their current special Rice Street Supreme should actually be permanently added. Very flavorful! “First time going here. I got the Beef Drunken Noodle and the Seafood Tom Yum Soup. When I tell you both dishes had so much flavor and they give you big portions. “I finally remembered to try this place. It didn't disappoint. Everything was made fresh to order. The veggies were crisp and tender. The shrimp were nice and plump. The Tom Yum was zesty and flaming.
It's a nice place for friends, family, or a casual date. It's not fancy. You order before you're seated.
The prices are just about the same as most Thai restaurants. Which bothered me a little since we had to stand in line to order.
But overall, it's a great place! It was yummy! It's was peaceful.“

“Tub Tim Siam on Hillhurst is a small, family-owned Thai restaurant with a lot of heart. It’s run by a really sweet older lady who takes care of everything herself, so the service is very slow — but worth the wait if you’re not in a rush. The food was really good, with the Pad Thai being a highlight. The mango sticky rice was absolutely amazing, probably one of the best I’ve had. We also got coconut water, which was super fresh and refreshing. A cozy little spot with a homey feel — just be prepared to be patient!“

“Parking was good. Food is good for reasonable cost. Service is good. No sign on the back door so you can't tell if it's the correct place. I had yellow chicken curry. It was good tasting with good, but not perfectly cooked chicken. The curry is very watery. I used 2/3 of it, and it made my rice an unpleasant soggy consistency. Spice level is pretty spot on.“

It was really fun to be all seated at the bar for the Autumn kaiseki menu. The pad thai and panang curry are top tier. I recently tried the Bangkok sidewalk favorite (similar to gra pow at other restaurants) and it was 10/10.

“Step into Mama Mae Ting's stall and you will be transported into an authentic Bangkok soi eatery (street stall). Somtam is fresh, crunchy and seasoned as spicy as you can handle; the BBQ chicken (gai yang) & BBQ pork (mu ping) are super savory and juicy (and conveniently served on sticks)..be sure to ask for sticky rice with that! Missed out on the kanomkrok but will save that treat for my next visit. Super arroy di mak-mak!“

The sauce mixed in the noodles was pretty savory and the whole dish itself was flavorful. However, personally I feel like Vermicelli Noodles aren't for me. If you're a fan, give this dish a try!

Deep Fried
You get a choice of protein. I picked beef. The eggplant was very flavorful and the texture was perfect. Usually these are very soggy and oily in asian cuisine, but to me this one is just right. It's my favorite eggplant dish so far.

Definitely coming back again some time to try out more of their food. :)“

“Thai food in this neighborhood have all fallen for some reason, and I thank this place for opening to pick up where they lack. I think it's great they came into a location that has very mediocre Thai restaurants around with decent ambiance but low quality food. Instead of focusing on a dine in experience, this place is all about delicious Thai take out.
The drunken pad noodles and spaghetti are great and Thai level spicy.
The pineapple fried rice is also delicious.
This is my new go to Thai spot.“

“This is one of my Thai mom’s favorite restaurants and is also a favorite for my relatives as well. While this is not close to the pinnacle of Thai food, I can admit that most of the dishes are decent. My family always gets the fried pork, thai fish cake and boat noodles. Their sausage is fine.“

Food was good minus that one incident and the young man with a moustache serving us was extremely professional and pleasant. We are from Houston and this was our first meal in LA. “Interior chill. Order online available. They speak thai here, friendly. Got the veggie only drunken noodle went in hr before close and ordered takeout. Food ready quickly. Hard working. Price quality location everything great. Spicy is def spicy btw and i was thinking of getting the hottest level forgot authentic Thai spicy is diff from european american spicy lol. “My family and i love this place. Been coming here for years. Even though it doesnt say it. They are open on sundays from 12-8:30pm except the third sunday of the month. At the risk of exposing my to go to spot. This is a hidden gem for some authentic thai. We got a big family and get the pad thai, pad see ew, pineapple curry (i always order side noodles and make it into a ramen :P ), teriyaki chicken, veg. Fried rice, chow mein, pepper garlic, and the broccoli. Never disappointed.“

Tried this place with a couple of friends who are very picky when it comes to the authenticity of Asian food, especially when it comes to Thai food. Their verdict was that it's the real deal.
