TL;DR eccentric owner, great food.The restaurant is on the second floor. Because of the low footfall you might be mistaken that it's closed because the owner turns the lights off.The owner is the sort of character that comes in mind when you think of an Asian dad. He runs the whole restaurant alone and his service can come off as rude, but I don't think he's actually trying to be rude.The food is quite authentic, it's a great low key place if you can order in chinese/cantonese.
The owner is very busy but friendly. He is a bit silent but he is very hardworking. Visited just now for the first time and the food is amazing. He need to do all the stuff by himself so prepare you might need to wait a bit
This place has polarizing reviews. I can see that some people don't like the owner. He has his unique character and an unconventional style of service. I think you either perceive it as a big ego that is hard to digest or the pride that comes with a craftsman's spirit.In any case, I have to say the food is simply consistently amazing.
