Pretty good food. I think we will go back
Foodie friend has recommended this gem of a place in Berkeley and has let the owner Yoshika-san know that we are coming. Amazing food. Very lackluster service and long in the tooth space.

Fish & Bird Sousaku Izakaya offers an incredible dining experience with consistently delicious food and great service. The menu features well-executed dishes, including the must-try soft tofu and black cod collars. The atmosphere is relaxing and classy, with a bit higher prices worth the quality. Customers enjoy the chill vibes and the wide selection of food, from sashimi and sushi rolls to unique dishes like the Salmon Kasuzuki and Wagyu Bikini Hamburg steak. The Matcha Tiramisu is also a popular dessert. While the service can be a bit slow at times, the attentive staff ensures a pleasant overall experience. The restaurant is a great choice for special occasions or a quiet meal with loved ones.
