“Place is cool it can be crowded on the weekend but it’s understandable because it’s a college area the people behind the counter get over stimulated sometimes and seem like they’re rushing you. The dogs are are great though the lemonade isn’t sweet and they offer good chilli and condiments“

“The level of delicious is unparalleled. The cheese, the fries. Everything is so good. Serving sizes are incredible. The staff is super friendly and nice. You have to ask for napkins, there's a drink machine with free refills, it's a great place to sit at the bar and have a hot dog. You can watch in the window and see all the craziness go by. It gets a little busy and it's pretty small but definitely don't skip this place. I love it. I am always happy when I drive by and I love the opportunity to stop in.“

Idk if they’re just robbery cautious or what but visited because of locational convenience.Ordered a dozen - was ready in under 10 min Altho no status update was given and there was no staff. 5 stars for the donuts - they’re better than Mochill or any of the other competitors/places I’ve been to within the state.The glazes were really tasty and not too sweet (I got 8 diff flavors, favorite being Guava and Fruity pebbles). Donuts were super moist and springy without being greasy. It was a huge hit for the party I bought them for with both people who are mochi-nuts and ppl who’d never had them before. “Came here 3 days ago to try the food since I've constantly drove by and wanted to have a taste. I am super disappointed in my experience. The Hot dogs were like rubber and could tell they had been cooked hours before. There was barely any meat in the chili. I also was charged $147 instead of $14.70 by the manager Pat and she refused to refund me. I will never return or recommend anyone to go here.“

“Came with a friend and split the oxtails with rice and the smash burger. The oxtails were incredible. Fall-apart tender, deeply seasoned, and the crispy peppers and onions took it over the top. The burger was grilled outside and packed with smoky barbecue flavor. This place is officially in my rotation. Blown away.“

I usually get the hot link and/or the big quarter pound hot dog with all the trimmings, i.e., chopped onions and tomatoes, mustard, ketchup, relish, and occasionally jalapeno peppers. “Tough competition for my favorite Oakland bar, but this is it. Somehow magically appeals to every demographic while still having a strong identity and great prices on excellent drinks.
Big fan of the minimalist design that still feels cosy, with a monolithic bar and textured walls it somehow feels uncrowded while still being intimate and generally packed.
Absolutely love this place, love the cheekies, love the cocktails, love the staff. If you're going on a first date or meet up I'd try to get there earlier in the night because it will get full and can be hard to hear each other.

“This place looks a little 'sketchy', BUT the food is very good. I was working an event at the Oakland Colesium, and this was the only place you could walk to. If you can speak a little Spanish, it goes a long way. I got the Cubana sandwich, and it was so big, I could only eat half of it.“

I was looking for the bart station entrance, that has been closed now. While walking out I felt the need to get a hot dog, I ordered the Bulgogi Dog, Angus Beef with Kimchi Marinated Korean Beef, TeriMayo, and Gochujang Sauce, Green Onions. Delicious and on a toasted Soft Roll. Good service and hopefully people will come back to The Emporium, is just a gorgeous clean place with unique architecture.“
