“This place is a hidden gem for desi food. Looks very unassuming from the outside. Food tasted like it was home cooked. Tried the chicken handi, goat karahi, aloo ghost, chana chicken, paya, and biryani. Best was the handi and chana chicken.“

“Ordered the combo lamb korma & chicken tikka masala- the lamb was tender but the chicken was dry. Cost about $28 for the entree and bread with a bottle of water- was more than I expected.
The bread was super greasy - I would skip it next time.“

“This restaurant food is much more better than other Pakistani Indian restaurants all around the US. Chicken biryani & seekh kabob was so delicious authentic Pakistani flavor specially the Tea which is so so so good like Pakistani famous Pathan’s tea and we never had an experience before this in US. The best thing is they make in front of us so the quality of the food is so fresh and yummy like your own kitchen.“

“Kinara has always been a to go place for food there has always been good but I believe that has started to go down. Some of the new stuff on the menu not so great we visited them ordered there not sure what they called it but it was the loaded fries the sauce was a little to salty and was just not hitting the spot or should I put it wasn’t at Kinaras standards. Ordered chicken kirahi same great taste perfection no complains there was perfectly cooked chicken nice and juicy and just perfect loved it no complains there at all. The garlic naans awesome as well fresh perfect on the garlic just perfect.
Super disappointing was the steak I always order the steak never cared about the fries in the steak but the steak itself great. But not this time the steak just was super over seasoned had way too much masala on it and the salt was just an overkill took one bite and was finished with it couldn’t eat it at all I did take it home with me and will be eating it with some boiled rice I’ll give it a shot maybe will work or maybe not but I just didn’t wanted to waste it.
Drinks
Masala soda was on point as usual.
The new mocktails one of them were missing the cotton candy garnish but was still good and mine was excellent as well. Overall everything is still great just that they need to keep up with there standards can’t drop them now you guys set yourself up there keep it up there been going here forever when they were barely making there name and almost every time we are in the bay we go there for dinner. Keep up the good work and hopefully you’ll can work out the kinks.“

“I was headed to the post office on 13th street when I noticed this kabab restaurant. I thought, I'll stop in on my way back. What a treat, I had the curry lamb with rice. I must say that it has to the best curry sauce that I have ever had. The flavors were bold and rich and the lamb was cooked to perfection. I will most definitely be going back!“

“I came here spur of the moment for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I seems like some down home Indian food. Nothing fancy looking but full of flavor. The owner is super friendly and the service was great. My new favorite spot in the neighborhood.“

“I got Karahi Gosht and it was authentic and flavorful. Serving quantity was decent as well. I live in the South Bay and most places over there don't get this dish right. 5* from me, for the Karahi Gosht and Naan. Service understandably took some time because they make it fresh and piping hot. And I went there in between performances of standup comedy at Cobb's next door.“

“I enjoyed the falafel wrap sandwich. The bread was soft and fresh. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. The falafel was kind of different. Like chickpea French fries. The service was friendly and helpful. The ambiance needs some work. Otherwise, it's a nice new place in my neighborhood!“

“Food is great. Service is prompt. Place is clean. We tried malai boti roll , samosa, and chicken tikka fries. They are generous with chatnis. Chai was lovely. Nutella paratha was a great fusion twist. The Owner is very attentive. Will highly recommend this place if you are visiting Berkeley, you must try this place.“
