“We went for my dad's 87th birthday. They had the table all ready for us in the back of the restaurant, so it was quiet. Sam and Lida made us feel very welcome and like family. The food was fantastic, well timed and everyone loved it! This is a hidden gem in a mini mall. Lovely atmosphere and authentic food. Highly recommend!“

“O. m. G. A must if you are in silverlake region - def get the mazeh plate - the mirsa ghasemi and the wild shallot yogurt were sooooo good. I got the ash e jo & it was so hearty but light at the same time- did not feel bloated afterwards. Super fast service & hella outside shaded seating, perf for people watching.“

“Food this good could only be made with a mother's love! Sogol's plate is a great business run by great women and I would definitely recommend their to-go orders for busy students as the ordering and pick-up process were super easy. I ordered the Kotlet sandwich and it was super flavorful. You will not be disappointed and the portions were quite filling. Can't wait to order more amazing meals in the future!“

“This was my first time eating here. I must say the food was amazing. I'm used to going to Westwood for my Persian food however having this spot in the neighborhood is fantastic. They serve the same food here as they do in Westwood. Check out the menu it's amazing. I had an opportunity to meet with Reza the owner Chef a super nice guy.“
“The hummus tree was incredible. Some of the best how much I’ve ever had and that says a lot congratulations.“

“What an absolute gem!!!! Just go!!! You won’t be sorry :-)
Father son combo team, the food is absolutely as authentic as it comes… we dined in, 3-4 tables seating 2-3ppl each… not a place to go for a nice dinner or vibes, but who needs that when the service, food and authenticity is off the charts?!? I gave them 5 stars all around because the full experience truly was a 10 out of 10!
It’s one of those unassuming places that SHOULD go viral!
LOTs of take out orders while we were there, and a few dine ins… even so, our food was served fast, and perfectly made. So many classic Persian dishes, and their ingredients are so very well sourced, they use Australian, grass fed lamb shanks and mine fell off the bone!
The ground beef kabob was served with a fluffy saffron basmati rice, a fresh and hot pita bread, side salad, raw onions, grilled tomato, peppers and some butter for the rice (exactly as it should be!) truly, an orchestra a flavors in your mouth! We had so much leftover, big portions! Make sure to order it juicy if you get the ground beef kabob.
What a pleasure, will back again and again!!!“

“Everything was so delicious! The saffron was super fresh in everything, and the mast o khiar was excellent on a hot day. Salmon kabob was cooked to perfection. Such great people with wonderful service! I’ve never felt so at home at a Persian restaurant before.“

“I'll admit I know about as much about Persian food as a sea cucumber knows about macroeconomics. The food here was great, sure, but the environment was amazing. Everyone from the lovely lady behind the counter to the regulars playing cards in the corner made me feel like I was right at home. I had the chicken kabob at their recommend and I'm glad that I did. I will admit that the yogurt soda was not for me though. The indoor seating is super small and cramped but that's more because they seem to expect you to eat on the patio. I'd happily go back again, if only to learn more Farsi.“
