“The place looks great. The food is absolutely good. The Kabob plates are amazing and are perfect in every aspect. All the food is great. They have great service and people check up on you when you dine in. Overall one of the best kabobs I’ve had.Parking: Parking is always available.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. There are no stairs to the restaurant.“
“Excellent service, huge portions, and great taste. Seriously guys, when they bring you a plate of rice, it's enough for 4 people! The chicken was a bit dry, but very tasty and there was plenty of sumac and hot sauce. Yes hot sauce. A huge bottle on every table. A persian restaurant first for me, and very appreciated. Masoumeh was fantastic and took excellent care of us. They do a huge take out business in the first room and set down in the second. We would definitely visit again.“
“I contacted Misah regarding catering for my birthday party for 30 people. From the very start, Misah and his staff were polite, professional, and friendly. My wife took me to the restaurant for lunch to sample the food a couple of days before the party. Misah was very nice in person as well. The food was freshly prepared and very delicious. All the sides were good as well; the lentil soup, cucumber yogurt, and hummus. He offered us free desserts to sample. Their homemade baklava is so good. When they prepare your catering order, they cook the kabob close to your pickup time so that it is hot and fresh when you get home. They use very good quality containers for transporting the food. Our party guests loved the food so much that we barely had any leftovers for the next day. We will definitely eat at Chelo in the future. It is a small hidden gem in Van Nuys.“
“2nd time here and I let 2 years go by. I loved the rice once again it filled my stomach with love. I ordered the chicken plate and my taste buds danced on top of my tongue. The tomato was so juicy and I wish I had two of them. Onions and salad were my sides and both of them are 5/5. Down to the pita: it was tough to eat and very hard. 4.5 stars out of 5 04/15/24 Customer service: beautiful friendly people. The music inside was excellent. Clean atmosphere and highly recommend coming here.“
“My Persian friend Neda came to visit and wants me to try Persian food. She found Vanak online and we are trying it for the first time. It's located in the El Pollo Loco shopping center. This place looks nice and clean, they got a A grade. It has a nice ambience. I'm sure it looks a lot better in the evening. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The parking was ok. Saied took our order and was very patient and helpful. He wore a great smile and eye contact is a plus We had tons of questions about the food. He explained all about the food so patiently. The price is a bit high but they have good portions. They have such great customer service which is such a plus.. They let us sample a freshly made dessert. Usually with the amount of questions my friend had they would have been annoyed already. They were in the middle of a very big order and still tended to our tiny order. I'll definitely recommend and will be back.“
“I had heard about Bread Bros. While back and decided to stop by yesterday! They are specialized in making best Persian bread and pastries! I bought BARBARI (بربری) bread (with Saffron) which I had never had before and it's beyond words! They have a special gift for first time buyers so I picked up roulette (رولت) with chocolate inside that I ate it all right away! The owner Mohsen is very kind and courteous and I highly recommend this place!“

“I've driven past this cafe so many times and didn't even realize that there was a hidden gem there! Came in for lunch and was greeted by a sweet woman who took my order. It's definitely a mom and pops joint so you'll feel right at home immediately. I ordered the chicken shawarma with salad and the chicken didn't disappoint! It was tender and flavorful, just what I needed to satisfy my appetite. I do have to say that it's a small spot so there is no restrooms available for customers but if you're getting your car washed, you can use the one there and walk over.“
“I love this spot the owner has great Persian food , the kinda flavor that is so different then the rest of the Persian res in the area, I swear the owner is this older nice men the place has home made food smells so good !He makes the best horash sabzi it’s the green herbs stow it comes with a side of rice and it’s really delicious! My friend loves kabobs so he orders that and says it’s very good !All the locals of the area eat here :)So in case you are in the Woodland Hills neighborhood I recommend grabbing lunch at this placeI enjoy every time I come here it reminds meof my moms food , so thank you for this“
“Shirin restaurant has become my go-to spot, with regular dine-ins twice a month and takeout once a week. Their portion sizes are generous, the customer service is top-notch, and what’s even better is the reasonable pricing. It’s a winning combination that keeps me coming back for more. Special shoutout to Arash, our host, who is always welcoming and kind.“
“This review is definitely way over due!!!The consistency in the food is just stellar!Every time I come (4th time ) The food is fresh and super tasty .The boneless chicken is so fresh and cooked to perfectionNot overly dry but just the perfect juicy tenderness!!The rice is so yummy too.. But my fav is the hummus by far!!Also the staff is always super friendly and nice!!“
“The food is very delicious- we order from here on UberEats quite often! Their portions are generous too. My only suggestion, I wish the stews were less greasy. We could order more often then ;) I see my cholesterol levels raise if I were to eat such level of grease and oil more often.“
“I had the chicken combo kebab,Loved everything about it. Humus is so delicious, I can't stop eating it. The rice is great. The salad is fresh and crisp. And the kebabs are juicy and very tasty. I'm picky with food, this is a great meal. I had a beef shish kebab on the side, and again, I loved it. The staff are nice and polite, which is rare to find these days. Good job, everyoneI'll definitely be back.“
“First time here and it was great. Easy parking available up front. The menu was pretty simple and kept to the traditional dishes offered at a Persian restaurant. Our waiter, Winston, was wonderful. Attentive, professional, accommodating and very pleasant. Even gave us some background info on the restaurant which is always nice to know. The food: Mast moosir - fresh and delicious Garden salad - fresh and delicious - Persian cucumbers, tomatoes and onions romaine with a nice and light mayo based dressing. Tahdig with ghormeh sabzi - the tahdig was thin and crispy. Perfect! The ghormeh sabzi could have used a bit more salt but still above average. Gheimeh- again, a bit undersalted but still very delicious. Soltani - the meat was juicy, tender, and absolutely hit the spot. Service was wonderful. Ambiance was pretty and understated. Food was delicious and on par with other top Persian restaurants. I would absolutely come again“
“My go-to for takeout, but there is an inviting dine-in area with enough space for a few tables. The customer service is consistently swift; my phone orders are ready upon my arrival. The pricing is appropriate, offering generous portions. My usual half-and-half combo (chicken and beef) includes rice, hummus, pita bread, and a refreshing salad. Although I tend to forget to swap the salad for fries, another diner had them on their plate and they looked so yummy. Every element is expertly seasoned, resulting in consistency.“
“Update 3/13/23 - I have ordered from them many times since my last order and everything has been consistently fresh and delicious. No mistakes. The koobideh was amazing today and the halim is great too. Updating my review to 5 stars.Update 12/29/22 - this is the 2nd time in a row they did not provide an item I ordered and paid for on a postmates order. I changed my review from 3 stars to 1. There is no point in having good food if you don’t provide the items your customers order. Now I have ghorme sabzi with no rice :(Their food is usually good, but today they did not give me the halim I ordered on postmates :( I was looking forward to trying it since not many Persian restaurants serve it. Bummer.“
“The food was delicious. However the menu prices are incorrect. They did apologized, I thank them for that. The amount of rice was ridiculous small compared to various other Persian restaurants and barely beef in the ghormeh sapsi. Howeverwe do understand everything is more expensive and probably they need to cut expenses. Thank you.“
“I loved the atmosphere, and the service was great, liked the entertainment. But the food was terrible….I called the manager the next day and started with , how great the service was, liked the entertainment but when I told her that the food wasn’t good she got defensive and said I was the only person who didn’t liked the food, we were party of 4 and we ordered different dishes but none of us liked our choices…I didn’t wanted to write a review, that’s why I called first … I believe constructive criticism makes a difference but she wasn’t interested .She apologized though but I didn’t wanted an apology just to give the my honest opinion!“
“Ordered family style kabobs and rice with various side dishes, and everything was great! Tender and juicy meats! Plenty of rice to share! Yogurt with cucumber, yogurt with shallot and shirazi salad are terrific, plus Persian flat bread for dipping. I would definitely go back.Parking: Giant shopping center parkingKid-friendliness: Food for all agesWheelchair accessibility: Easy access“
“Absolutely enchanting! The menu is a delightful journey through Persian cuisine, offering a variety of dishes that are as authentic as they are delicious. The saffron-infused basmati rice is a perfect accompaniment to their succulent kebabs, and the stews, rich in flavor and tradition, are an absolute must-try. Every bite is a testament to the chef's mastery and deep respect for Persian culinary traditions. This restaurant is more than a meal; it's a cultural immersion that leaves you eagerly planning your next visit.“
“My pet peev with most Persian restaurants is atmophere, cleanliness, and ambiance; however, I was pleasantly surprised when walking into Kourosh Restaurant! The simplicity and elegance in the decor, a large eye-catchng chandelier, and beautiful decor welcomes you to one of the best Persian food restaurants in the SFV. Upon being seated, we were served freshly baked traditional Persian bread. Our server was very kind and tried her best to accomodate our orders. I was impressed with the ghormeh sabzi stew (herb stew) and Ghaimeh (tomato base beef stew); robust with flavor and quantity, I was pleasantly surprised. The ground beef and filet mignon were juicy, tender and absolutely delicious! The rice was slightly cold which made it hard for the butter to melt; but the kabobs were served hot. The owner visited our table serveral times to assure good service and food. Attention to detail is key and Kourosh Restaurant delivers.“

“3/17/2024 This Persian restaurant has been in business for 17 years.1) The appetizer HUMMUS is so fresh, a 5 star dish; 2) FESENJAN STEW is 5 star, before taking my first bite of FESENJAN STEW (Sauteed ground walnut, cooked in pomegranate sauce and served with steamed basmati rice), I am not sure it will fit my taste. Right after my tasting, a nonstop eating with steamed basmati rice took place.; 3) BAKLAVA (Pastry made with layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped walnut and pistachio and cream) and tea are 5 star; 4) A signature dish, GHORMEH SABZI STEW, is okay. The restaurant is also specializing for catering. I really like a fragrant smell in its clean bathroom.“
“I wanted to give this family owned restaurant a positive feedback! Farideh the owner of this business has succeeded in the Persian food industry 100% I cannot even explain how tasty their food is. I tried their chicken kabob sandwich and I was so amazed of how tasty my meal was. Denj reminds me of home away from home! Those whom have tried Persian food in Iran will definitely understand what I mean by that :D If you are a Persian food lover I recommend this place a million times!“
