“I know it's a saloon, but after reading the reviews and looking at the pictures, I decided to take the family. It was delicious. All the kids liked it. They even devoured the cheese sticks, and I had to order another one. And they were huge. The hamburgers were juicy. The kids felt out of place at first, but as soon as the food arrived, all their worries left. I'm glad they are family-friendly.“

“Loved the Malibu bowl with the Tahiti sauce. Tasted like poke but with tofu. They recently moved (about 3 weeks ago) and the location is larger and can better accommodate the usual crowds (there are 3 computers to order which makes it faster/way less wait). The decor is super cute; tropical/Caribbean island meets desert…? My kids loved it. The food was good! I do wish they had more than one vegan option, but it was quite tasty.“

“The primary focus of this establishment is the culinary experience. The ingredients utilized are fresh and quality cuts of meats. They are expertly prepared by their skilled chefs. It looked like a Mexican mom and pop establishment, but the food was amazing!! I had ordered a Chicken Chimichanga with red sauce (wet), and the size of the burrito and generous amounts of sauce was killer good. ( No gristle, no bone, or dried out poor cuts of chicken) Only the good portions perfectly made. My husband had the steak fajitas. He kept commenting on what good cuts of steak they used and how delicious his food was. SORRY, but my huge wet chicken Chimichanga didn't have a chance to get its photo taken!!“

“Absolutely loved this place, will definitely be coming again. The owner was really sweet and it was great talking to her.

I went with a big group of friends and they had something for everyone, including vegan options!! The food here is amazing, I got the veggie burrito and was so stuffed afterwards.

Also, the decor in the bathroom made me laugh, loved it haha

And don't forget to get the watermelon agua fresca 11/10 :)

Well the owner of Big Bear Brewery found me on FB messenger mailed my backpack with all its belongings. Even the cash. Good people do exist Richard thank you! “If you’re looking to get married, or a venue for a large gathering I would recommend Santana Mavericks 1000%!! We just had our wedding here on the 19th. Susana, and her team outdid themselves. They took care of all of the decor, set up, food, and clean up. They completely exceeded our expectations, and made the day incredibly special for us. The views are incredible, and the atmosphere was so romantic. We had the most amazing wedding day, and I can’t thank Santana Mavericks and the staff enough. The food was incredible, and all of our friends and family had the best time.“

“I’ve been coming to Big Bear for years and have never tried this place because HOW can Indian food in a small American mountain town be good? Well, I’m a dummy for not coming here sooner. The Baingan Bharta was the best I’ve ever had and I live in a major city! They have a few vegan sections on the menu with plenty of options. Even the vegetarian options have their own space on the menu. The paratha was warm and held up so that I was able to scoop up my curry with it. The only thing that was a bit different than I’ve had before were the pakoras which were massive and had some thick cuts of veggies in them. They were still very delicious and I did end up eating them all.“

“We where in town visiting for the snow season and we where have a hard time deciding what to have for breakfast when when found La Paws this place is like a touch of home. I had the huevos rancheros and they there the best I forget what else the family had but they loved it as well and we are sure to be back next time we visit really recommend 10/10“

PROS: Located in the heart of Big Bear village, this rustic, warm, and cozy restaurant provided wonderful amabiance for a Spring evening meal. Hostesses and greeters welcomed us with smiles and friendliness. Our server, Leticia, provided courteous, professional, and knowledgeable service. We ordered the outstanding macademia nut crusted crab cakes with a wonderfully balanced chunky mango salsa. Not since the heyday of Citrone's in Redlands crab cakes have I delighted so dearly of these crustacean delicacies. The baked brie accompanied with toasted pine nuts, and chipotle rasberry sauce paired deliciously with grilled ciabatta. The freshly baked bread added a nice yeasty element with butter. The entree of pistachio crusted chicken with orange dijon sauce complimented each other sweetly. The buttery sweet potato mash contributed to the nutty tangy protein. I enjoyed dipping the freshly prepared vegetables with the sauce and mash! CONS: The salad that comes with the entree seemed like an after thought and definitely did not compare to the freshly made soups. The dishes are slightly overpriced compared to other places with similar food selections. So, the value is not exactly there. OVERALL: With a dirge of options at the quality and professionality of Peppercorn Grill in Big Bear, I highly recommend this spot for a wonderful dinner with friends and loved ones. ⚜️💚⚜️“

“I live here in big bear I have ordered the teriyaki chicken sandwich no bread 6 to 7 times never has it has it had cheese so how would I know it had cheese I didn't look at menu because I just new they had it so tonight it had cheese on no biggy I thought I can just pull the cheese off oh no cuz the whole dinner was soaking in 2 inches of grease their response is well it has cheese on so basically too bad...we go their so much they new my husband's name just by telling them what I ordered...but no more they make so much money off non locals they could care less about loyal customers I'll take my money else where not sure where cuz nobody really cares any more pictures in comments“

“Oakside Restaurant was an amazing discovery! We had lunch there today, Saturday, April 5th, at a table for three. We are visiting from French Polynesia, and this is our first time in Big Bear. The meal was absolutely delicious, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely remember this place and hope to return soon!“

Too expensive for what i ordered. Asada meat had little flavor, it was dry, and too simple. The place is too old, no AC available,and definitely requires maintenance. My first visit was during breakfast time, and the food was great.

“The food here was absolutely incredible. The beef skewers, honey walnut shrimp and twice cooked pork belly was amazing. Food came out super quick. We got 3 dishes between 2 of us and left stuffed. They are short staffed so I found it quite incredible most of our visit there was one gentleman doing it all. Taking orders, delivery food, picking up plates and processing payments. All while being super polite and helpful, he is full of great food recommendations. Definitely a must try, the food was so amazing I forgot to take pictures of everything.“

“I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with spaghetti and meat sauce. The pizza was delicious, fresh, and well baked. I wasn't impressed with their spaghetti. It was bland. The garlic bread was ok. Overall, I would recommend the pizza here. Great customer service. Nice atmosphere.“

“This was a little bar and grill outside the more touristy area of Big Bear lake. I’d considered this a dive bar, but they do serve food that was actually pretty good. The service was nice and our bartender/server was friendly and accommodating. It wasn’t too crowded, but they have plenty of seating as well as TVs and a pool table. The liquor selection is pretty limited, but they do have a range of beers, including some local brews. The food was pretty good too. We had the Caland burger and the hot national Asheville chicken sandwich. I like the burger better, but they were both pretty tasty. They ran out of fries, but made salads instead, which was a lot better than I expected. Overall, if you want to get away from the touristy part of Big Bear, make your way over here for ann off the strip dive bar experience.“

“This is really great pizza, and they have an amazing lunch special. The crust is light but tasty, ingredients are top notch. No complaints! We usually get delivery, by the way they are the only pizza place that delivers in Big Bear...well, not the ONLY one but the other place is a major chain named after a game :) Go with the locally owned and operated pizza place Red Baron! And trust me, the pizza is 1000% better then the frozen pizza company by the same name.10/10! Highly recommend.“

“My partner and I LOVE Japanese food, so expectations were high when we moved to Big Bear and found out that there weren't a lot of options - thankfully Fuji is wonderful and we stop by as often as we can justify, haha!

I love noodles, and get the ramen or udon every time! The tempura is done properly, not just breaded with panko or whatever! The wasabi is always very fresh and flavorful, unlike a lot of the stuff you get other places that's clearly just very obviously "secretly" horseradish, haha! The portions are just right, and they have a wide selection of items on the menu!

The staff are helpful and friendly, and the service has always been quick for what we order! We have genuinely enjoyed every meal that we have gotten from Fuji!“
