“This was the second time I have been here and I love the food and service. The menu is very diverse allowing a wide range of choices for food selection. I got the hulihuli chicken sandwich and it hit the spot.”
“I was trying to find what to get when I saw Hog on The Rocks, one of the workers named Juan approached me and started telling me all about the new menu . I asked him what he recommended and he told me it was the Hog Burger by far . I took his advice and it was absolutely incredible n it hit the spot . Would highly recommend .”
“Came to thelma's for the first time ever on a Saturday night before closing. We had a lovely server named Brett, he is a king. He made our night. The restaurant was so cozy and welcoming. Both my friend and I were in bad mood that night, but boy did our frowns turn into smiles real quick! I had the tuna melt, my friend had a burger. We both agreed it was the best food we had the entire trip and Brett's service was phenomenal (give him a raise Thelma) The food was so good we had to return the next morning for breakfast. Let me tell you... the breakfast was life changing. Their home fries are stupendous! I highly recommend everyone check this place out. They deserve 3/3 Michelin stars!!”
“Like many others, we came to Tropicali after snowboarding, so we were ravenous and excited given the good Yelp reviews. We pulled up in front and it didn't look busy in the lot, but it was a bit misleading as there is also a parking lot in the back and that's where most people (and the line) are. The line didn't look too bad, just slightly out the door and up the couple steps - distance wise, it doesn't look far from the front counter but it took us about 40 minutes total to order. I'm not sure if I'd usually wait that long for food in general, but I'm glad we were able to try it at least once! It's also tough to be mad about a wait when their employees are so friendly - they definitely know how to work a crowd. We had the Krackatoa (I'm probably spelling this wrong, their more traditional poke bowl (I forget what it was called exactly), and took a Luau bowl (pulled pork) to go. Everything was great quality in terms of fish and ingredients. The Krackatoa did get heavy halfway through and was a bit too sweet for my palette, so I'd probably stick with the more traditional style next time. The vibes were also immaculate inside. It was nice and toasty, nice seating area, and people were enjoying the fire as it was chilly outside. Recommend going if you have the time!”
“Best karaoke bar in So Cal! Come for a beer and you'll be here until 2am... can't explain how it happens, but inevitably that's what happens. No regrets, just good times all around. It's a local dive with surprisingly good food and cheap drinks.. 13/10 would recommend”
“If you want the BEST breakfast with the BEST service, eat here. Mary, the owner is the kindest woman along with all of her staff. Food is delicious, coffee is fantastic. It will be a regular each year we come up for the slopes.”
“Stop by here at North Shore Café for lunch had five different items chicken artichoke sandwich jalapeño burger, pastrami, and two cheeseburgers and wow amazing all will definitely come back”
“Very nice restaurant, and super kind employees! My boyfriend and I went here when leaving town in a big rush on a holiday weekend, and the customer service was great; We got our food quickly to go, and it was delicious. I even accidentally left my wallet at the restaurant and one of the employees was kind enough to mail it back to my house. Overall, this restaurant had a nice warming atmosphere, and many diverse food options for everyone. I highly recommend it for a casual restaurant, for breakfast, lunch or dinner.”
“I've been coming to Big Bear on and off for years and have largely been disappointed with the food and bars, but this place did not disappoint. The food was excellent. I was a little disappointed they only had one IPA on tap and I found it to be lacking, but I tried a couple other beers and really enjoyed both. Really enjoyed the wine my partner ordered as well. I appreciate that they seem to have good taste. The ambiance was extremely relaxed, which was also nice.”
“Great Reuben sandwich. And there fried zucchini is so good! Staff works hard and gets the orders out correctly. Can get busy; so grab a table and enjoy the lovely mountain decor and paintings.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and crayons so your little ones are set.”
“Moonridge Coffee was such an awesome find! I got the April Latte and Peanut butter toffee bar and they both were yummo! All I wanted to do was stay here all day, by the fire, reading a book! We will definitely be back! Shoutout to Christine the cutest barista! #supportlocal #moonridgecoffee #bigbear”
“We've eaten here many times over the last 7 years or so. We've tried a lot on their menu, we haven't been fans of any of the food besides their pizza and garlic parmesan fries, that's their specialty foods for sure! I love that they will make me a crust-less pizza in a pan. We come here every time we visit Big Bear. We love us some Saucy Mamas!”
“When I lived in Big Bear I ate there often. Really nice staff great food and the location is perfect. When I saw the name, I got really excited and thought they opened another restaurant down here in the HD. They have a outdoor dining area in the front, that has just enough tables to make it cozy, but not close together. The tables inside are comfortable private booths or you can sit at the bar or a small table. I highly recommend this restaurant. Unless it has changed since I was last there, you should definitely give Azteca a try.”
“Best sausage I have ever tasted, the food is excellent. The only downside is pretzels without butter, in Germany, Butter-Brezel is a staple so I was surprised when they couldn't provide any butter at all.”
“Excellent food! The harvest day salad was delicious with apple, gorgonzola and pecans. Sally's pasta dish was really good. I add ed two meatballs to it and would order again!!”
“A great neighborhood establishment, with 5/5 food options and fantastic selection of drinks! We were so impressed by the variety on the menu and kids meals for the littles was much appreciated. The service was great, and food came out quick and hot. Burgers are amazing! They have two pool tables and an arcade too. My kids had the best time. We will be back soon!”
“We came here 5 months ago and I had the Orange Walnut Salad. I've been craving it ever since so we popped in for breakfast today so I could try the Denver Omelette and pancakes. Both were amazing and I got Biscuits and Gravy for the side which was delicious even if I was so full I could only eat a few bites. We shared the two meals and I also ordered the Orange Walnut Salad to go which is now dinner. I think the first time I ordered this salad I didn't even add dressing because it was so flavorful. But today since they sent me home with Ranch and Balsamic I figured I'd mix the two and OMG amazing!! Thank you Teddy Bear!! Very cozy place to enjoy a good meal!!”
“The food is superb! I had the salmon dish there and I kept saying "wow" after every bite. My wife had fajitas and the chicken tasted excellent! First night in Big Bear and Gaby's cuisine did not disappoint!!! Just get there already and try her food.”
“Awesome place clean and the service is excellent... love this place food is so good and well served.. the taste of the food is so goood !!!! You must come and visit ..”
“Exceptional food and service, great atmosphere, a MUST visit when in Big Bear for quality Italian food! The Chicken Picatta is a must. Alicia provided exceptionally service, looking forward to the next visit!”
“Fantastic experience, great service, did not get the waitresses name but she was great.Kid-friendliness: We had a <1 year old with us and they were more than accommodating.”
“I usually never feel the need to write reviews about places but this place is phenomenal the workers are so nice and considerate the owner came and talked to us about the story of the restaurant (honestly so inspiring). And as a celiac they do lettuce wrap and offer gluten free buns! I definitely recommend getting the jalapeño ranch and the fry sauce truly mind blowing. If you are in big bear this is a must try!”
“Our family of 4 enjoyed a nice lunch here. Service was friendly and food was served quickly. We were treated to an extra side of their delicious homemade hot sauce. We enjoyed chicken Tikka, Tikka masala, saag paneer, lamb momo, and 2 mango lassis, with naan and rice. It fed us all very well with extra to take home. I would recommend this restaurant.”
“They have the best sandwiches and bagels, made in house! The wait is a little long because like most local businesses they are short staffed but it's definitely worth the wait”
“Went to this Denny's after a long snow day and Janet was the best! Such a sweetheart and had such great service (literally met any accommodations). She made our night! Highly recommend coming here and meeting her!”
“I’ve been going to Bigbear for years and this by far is the best breakfast. The food was excellent and servers are so attentive. If you get a chance, please make your way here !!!”
“Had the cinnamon roll, it’s very good. Very light. Basically yeast roll dough with nice light, creamy frosting that isn’t too sweet. I got the day-old one and it was still solid! Probably worth the discount, haha.Would come back for another for sure!”
“Everything was excellent. The salad was fresh. The lobster tail was delicious. Sean waited on us and as usual very nice service. Sadly we went in on Wednesday. Loraine is in on Thursday so we will be back to say hi.”
“They open to sold out, and I can see why they close early. The pie is fantastic! From the crumble to the fruit filling the soft flaky crust. My only regret, I bought one slice instead of two”
