Rustic. Romantic. Unplugged and peaceful. Biggest bang for your buck in Big Sur. Get a cabin with a deck on the river. You’ll have to make an actual phone call to reserve a cabin so you might as well ask for exactly what you want. This is not glamorous. You will not confuse it with Post Ranch Inn but trust me when I say if you want to experience Big Sur then this is where you want to stay.
OK, this place is rustic. They are cabins, and they are old. Our cabin was quite large, but the experience felt more like camping out. There are a few bugs. There is an indoor fireplace, but we used the outside fire ring. A small bundle of firewood is included, but you need to bring extra (and kindling) if you want good coals for s'mores. We had a big buck walk right past us while out at our campfire, and then a decent sized coyote pass through the yard. This was a great experience!...read full review

Awesome location and a great experience. If you want to get away to another place, another time or just a total reset then this is the place. Cozy cabins for 2 (and a few for maybe 4) right next to a scenic river/creek make this place a perfect getaway. Very rustic and bare bones cabins with kitchens to cook in, small bathrooms w showers and comfy beds. This place is close to all the sights or get one of the cabins next to the creek and enjoy the views.
