Seafood Restaurants near Blue Lake

“We got the grilled halibut tacos and the halibut fish and chips and the halibut tacos were great but don't get the grilled because the fried halibut from the fish and chips is outstanding and would send the tacos over the top being fried! Get the fried fish! And the fries are very good, taste like an old school McDonald's fry! The service was quick, 5 orders to go took maybe 10-15 minutes? Were not local but we will stop here again on our way through! Only minor complaint is the fish tacos for the price should get fries with it. The fish and chips is a good portion and super good crunch! Tacos just a little to small portion for the price! Excellent food tho highly recommend! They have specials too (see pictures). And the tar tar sauce is sssssooooooo gooooodddd!“

“I heard about this place through my dentist. Dr. K is a foodie and raved about Carriage House. She was right. The ambiance was nice. The service was great. The food was awesome. The drinks were mixed to the tee. This place is new but the owner has been around for awhile. She seems to know what the locals are looking for. I highly recommend and am looking forward to going back myself.“

“Great cocktails and maybe the best king crab legs I’ve ever had. On a long Thanksgiving road trip picking up our CPH freshman, we finally ate at SALT. Had to sit at the bar because we had no reservations and too cold outside. The mixologist Elizabeth was quite friendly. I had the Lotus Eater and found it to be one of the most nuanced cocktails I’ve ever had. The king crab was same price as in Seattle but was delicate and not over cooked. The New England clam chowder was better than most seafood restaurants. The salmon cakes were tasty but would have liked a little moisture/less crumbly. After so many seafood restaurants with the same flavors, SALT stood out. Unexpected but very appreciated in little Arcata. More cosmopolitan than expected. Can’t wait to eat there on our next visit but it could be awhile since our son likes university life without parents“

“Our server was fantastic We were seated at a small table in the middle of the room. We asked for something a little bigger and she found a terrific table where we could watch the sunset. Saturday night with no reservations and they were super accommodating. Our appetizer was delivered quick and hot. Our main courses was delicious. I would highly recommend this place.“

“APD has probably the best pizza in the Arcata/Eureka area, but check your pizza. I come and get a pizza here probably twice a month. I always order the same thing, half just cheese, half pepperoni and jalapeño, and more than half the time it comes out half pepperoni, half jalapeño. Then I have to wait for them to remake it. Not sure why that happens so often. But great pizza. Just be sure to check it.“
