“Bodega is a breathtakingly gorgeous town. That hairpin turn going to the coast or returning from the ocean has more dramatic stories. After eating breakfast at Lucas Wharf Restaurant on Sunday, I drove back to Santa Rosa to see this SUV inside the Bodega General Store next to the surf shop under the church where Barbara got married. The irony is that, nobody was surprised. Drivers take this turn crazy. Adam, Dave, and Jeff took out all the mailboxes taking this turn when I was at Montgomery High School in 1986. Returning from Goat Rock Beach at 2:00 am in the morning, their truck took the hairpin turn fast and took out all the post office mail boxes as they sped east towards Santa Rosa. “Wood fire pizzas are finger-licking good. The crust was excellent. I could not stop eating. Nice, newly renovated or newly opened location (I am not from the area so I’m not sure). We tried a couple of pizzas and the house salad and everything was delicious.“

“This is a fabulous neighborhood pizza joint. The service is great and they always remember me even though I've only been there 3 times in the last year. It's just a counter so there's no decor to speak of but there is some outdoor seating a few doors down. This is a great spot particularly if you like big, soft dough around the edges. Great for dipping. A medium pepperoni pizza can feed me for 3 days which is saying something considering how expensive food is these days. Pro-tip: if you aren't eating it all in one sitting it freezes great and comes back fresh and tasty if you warm it back up in a cast iron pan with the lid partially on.“

“Foam on the short pull espresso was phenomenal paired alongside a Nutella croissant topped with toasted almonds and powder sugar on a Tuesday morning followed by a brief read of a book. Nothing like the patio where it all conjured a memorable experience. May this place remain a gem on the way to the Oceanside.“

“This is the spot if you are like me and doubt the health value of greasy fatty or sugary breakfast foods that are standard in the American diet. This place had good breakfast alternatives with simple and clean ingredients , yet full of flavor.“

“Really nice people working here. We were so happy to find something that had outdoor seating and was dog friendly during a weekend where rain was heavy and often. Parking is limited and lotsa tourists around. Park at the cute country store and buy a soda and then go over to Estero. Great menu, lots of little creative dishes and the service was so nice and friendly and sweet. Well run, deliciously satisfying food, cooked well, and lots of crab based specials that looked awesome. On a quiet part of Highway 1, go here and be impressed and well taken care of. Thanks for the delicious coffee and food!“

“I met the owner and wine maker of Russian River Vineyards at the California Wine Festival in Huntington Beach and so we added his vineyard on to our agenda in Napa/ Sonoma.They have a wonderful selection of wines for tasting and purchasing and all their wines are made from grapes from small family owned and run farms. This place makes wine on behalf of the farms and so you will see a broad range of wines and many different vineyard names on the menu.We had a tasting flight the meat board and bought a couple of bottles of wine, it was really warm and relaxed on the patio.The team here is really welcoming and friendly. This place is very laid back and casual, no reservations needed, casual takeout style bites, and doggies welcome. “The food here is amazing. Also the smoothies as well. Yes it's not cheap. But you are paying for quality not quantity. Customer service is very good. The location is good. Atmosphere is very nice. The two times I have gone here I have sat outside. First time was during Covid and the second time was last Saturday.“
