From the first phone call until she hand delivered the food to my door, Sarah was an absolute delight. The food is fresh, very affordable and you can taste the love in it. I have 3 giant teenagers and there was plenty of food for all. I can’t wait to try more healthy, delicious meals!“

“Chef Joann was an absolute pleasure to work with. When we first reached out to Chef Joann, she was a little bit out of our price range, but she was able to work with us and our budget in order to be the caterer for our wedding. We went and met Joann and did a food tasting with her and she was so hospitable and nice we knew we had found the caterer for us, not to mention the food was absolutely amazing. Luckily, Chef Joann had worked our venue before so that took all the worries and stress from trying to plan and connect her with our venue and coordinator. She was able to work with us, even through all the craziness of 2020 and we were able to figure out a way to make things work efficiently and safely without jeopardizing the layout or food. The bartenders she was able to bring went above and beyond and really helped to get the party started for our wedding. They were constantly bringing my wife and I drinks as we would be empty handed and socializing with our guests. It was really cool how well the entire crew took care of not only us but all of our guests. With me being the wayI am, I wanted to help Joann and her crew and she would joke with me to be quiet, have fun and get married. It really felt like a family member or close friend was there, had our back and was taking care of us. It was a really cool dynamic and took all the stress out of the day. The food Joann conjures up is not easily put into words. The appetizers she did for the cocktail hour as well as the cheese boards she created for each table were astounding. They were above and beyond anything we had expected. I had guests coming up to me all night commenting on how amazing the cocktail hour was along with the dinner. We are so happy we picked Joann to take control and be a part of our big day. I would highly recommend Joann to anyone who wants amazing a delectable food from someone who is so easy going and easy to work with, you feel like you have known them for years. “Amazing Tacos!! Had the grilled ginger and grilled Chipotle fish tacos at the pacific beach farmer's market. Go get them NOW!! You will not regret it. The corn tortillas are soft yet strong enough to hold all the fillings. The fish is so fresh and flavorful. The sauces are excellent! The ginger taco has a subtl ginger flavor with a bit of spice and a teriyaki glaze for a bit of sweetness. The chiptole taco had fresh tomatoes, chipotle flavor without being spicy but they can make it spicy if you want. They are mindful of allergies and do there best to be gluten free. Both tacos I tried had lots of fish and shredded cabbage. Rubios tacos would be embarrassed sitting next to these epic tacos!!“

Rachel, our main point of contact, was wonderful—communicative, patient, and incredibly helpful. She thoughtfully recommended a selection of dishes to comfortably serve 100 guests.

Our order included:

3 trays of meatballs

Tray of penne Alfredo

Tray of penne Bolognese

Tray of penne pesto

Tray of chicken piccata

Tray of Caesar salad

2 trays of summer salad

3 trays of torta de mela

I also supplemented the catering with additional main dishes, five giant New York–style pizzas, and various desserts and side dishes generously provided by friends and family.

The food was a huge hit, and to our surprise, we were able to accommodate close to 225 guests, far more than we originally expected.

While I did need to provide the full tray racks and sternos for heating, Bravo truly went above and beyond. They arrived with a team of three, delivered everything seamlessly, and made sure the heating elements were fully ready before setting the trays in place. That extra care meant a lot to us during such an emotional time.

As an unexpected and deeply touching gesture, Bravo also surprised our family with a beautiful floral arrangement in honor of my mother’s passing.

“Sean and his team are truly amazing! We hired them for our rehearsal dinner which took place at my grandparents house. They were able to pull up right in the driveway and guests meandered between the backyard and driveway to grab slices as they wished. I am personally vegetarian and my favorite was the pesto vegetarian pizza. It was so light and delicious! Everyone had great things to say about the honey jalepeno, and even the gluten free guests had great reviews. It felt like Sean was the host of the party, you can tell he truly loves his job and loves talking to people. They set up and cleaned up so quickly I hardly even knew where they arrived/left, it was like magic whisked them away. They made so much pizza most of us took some home afterwards. Highly reccomend!!!“

“Vendors, caterers, please please please listen to your clients, no matter how unusual their requests may be lol. I had a 90s themed birthday party for my 40th and wanted to be as on-brand as I could, and for me, that meant cafeteria food! lmao. I don't know how many caterers I reached out to and explained this to only for them to try to sell me tacos, tell me it was "too many options," or try to upsell me on hand-passed appetizers and food that was just not what I had envisioned. Originally, Luis had sent me a draft menu consisting of sandwiches and chips. Close but not quite there. After perusing their menus on their website I realized what I had wanted was all basically food from their kids menu! I reached out and let Luis know, almost expecting to be told they would not cater kids food for adults, but nope! Luis was more than accommodating and worked with me to curate a menu exactly as I had wanted it, down to the cafeteria trays and ice cream cups. I cannot thank Luis and his team enough for bringing my vision to life and not looking down their noses at it! Not only that, but everything was so flavorful. I had intended to bring home whatever leftovers there were so I could scarf down all the chicken tendies I could at 3 am lol, but my guests beat me to it! Everyone kept talking about the seasonings used and how tasty everything was. And I'm talking sliders, empanadas (think calzones), chicken tenders, fries, mash, and veggies! Thank you Eleazar Catering for helping make my party so epic! Cannot wait to work with you again in the future!“

“If you don't know what wood fired pizza is you'd think it's burnt. It's not Dominos pizza it's artisan pizza cooked in high temperature oven with that perfect char. We met them at the Holiday Market at Petco Park and they were a well oiled machine. The entire staff looked super happy and their customer service was top notch! Can't wait to try again! I’m glad I chose them as I was *not* disappointed, nor were my guests! The workers were on time, kind, gracious and stayed until all of my guests were stuffed with all the tacos, beans, rice and guac that they could handle. The tacos were delicious and the service was on point. And the pricing was very reasonable. 😃🌮 Also, all of the communication leading up to the event was super easy and mostly by email. “We cannot say enough wonderful things about Christine and her team. From start to finish, everything was absolutely seamless, and they played such a huge role in making our wedding day perfect.

The food was incredible and truly one of the highlights of the night. Guests were raving about it all evening, and so many went back for seconds. We are still receiving compliments! One thing that really stood out to us was how attentive and responsive the team was. During our tasting, we felt the red meat option was a little blander than our liking. They genuinely took our feedback to heart, made adjustments, and it was noticeably improved on our wedding day. That level of care meant so much to us.

“I subscribed to the Mama Africa monthly Sunday dinner from April, 2021 until the service was discontinued in April 2023, and enjoyed it immensely. It became a tradition to get together with friends once a month and enjoy the meal together. The food was always very interesting and satisfying, the sambusas were always a favorite (I would love to purchase the spicy peanut sauce in a bottle!!). I was sorry that the Sunday dinner program was discontinued, but I'd definitely use Mama Africa the next time I need an event catered.“

“This place has been pulling up to my apartment almost weekly and I decided to give it a shot tonight. Admittedly I wasn’t expecting much, I was wrong. IT.WAS.AMAZING. I have lived in San Diego for my whole life and this was hands down the best quality quesabirra tacos I’ve had from a taco truck. Food was amazing price for the portion size. Definitely will be back to try more! Oh and the churros are really good too!

“I have nothing but sweet words about this place. I am a tourist here and have tried another Nigerian restaurant that was not much to write home about. I ordered ogbona and egusi for myself and hubby and it tasted like home food.
The portions were big too and we could have shared a soup instead of buying two meals.
Customer service was good though the setup does not encourage physical contact. A sweet young boy came out to inform us that our order was being prepared.

Ordering was easy via the kiosk in the waiting room and wait was not too long.

Worthy to note is that there are multiple food places in the same place and they each have their ordering kiosk. You Order & pay online or via the kiosk and your food is brought out to you.

Food is a bit pricey but worth it. Will return again but hope I can get my chinchin this time.“
