“Stefan at UCSD Catering was extremely helpful when my fiancée and I began planning our wedding at the Martin Johnson House on the Scripps Campus.Of the approved caterers, Stefan was one of few to immediately have a detailed conversation with me about the ins and outs of the venue, what potential options and setups could be, and how to compare pricing/offerings from different caterers.When we built a menu and proposal, communication was prompt and efficient. We were able to try different set up options, mix and match from the existing menu and modify plates to fit with what we were going for.Pricing on the menu was labeled per person, so it was super easy and transparent to see what the costs would be if we added or removed items. The proposal was also very clear on food cost, vs. staff cost, vs other fees.Compared to other vendors, UCSD's proposal looked like the best quality to price combo.Ultimately, we did not go with UCSD catering only because we were on a tight timeline and felt more comfortable going with an all-in-one catering solution.However, if you have the time (or a coordinator) I'd recommend the combo of UCSD Catering, Bella Beverage Catering, and Cedar and Pine Rentals.“

“They truly did provide us with the best day of our lives! We chose Abbey Catering from a list provided to us by our venue, and man it turned out to be one of the best decision we ever made.

They provided so much guidance and the food tasting night hosted by them is a great fun time that really helped with deciding on a menu. When it came to the day of, I swear the food was even better than when we tasted it!

Every single person from the event staff was professional, fun, and did an amazing job. The bar never had a long line, the drinks were strong and well made, service was truly a standout feature of the wedding.

It was really a standout feature of the whole process of planning our wedding with Abbey. It is a full team of people there to help out with anything, and I want to thank them for their guidance, and patience with us.

“What a sight - seeing the freshly tossed pizza come out of the wood fired oven just made the pizza taste even better. Sean and his crew served up delicious pizza at my buddy’s kid’s birthday party. The kids loved the cheese and pepperoni pizzas. The adults loved the spicy pizza and the veggie pizza. The ingredients are fresh and the flour is imported from Italy. I strongly recommend Pacific Pizza. Sean is so chill and his pizza skills are an art form.“
