“An unbelievably great experience. We have had chef Drew cook at our house twice now, and both times it has been over the top amazing. This time He put together an appetizer and charcuterie that was more extensive than anything I've ever seen anywhere. Then,He made a salad with 15 or 20 different vegetables, that he and his helpers spent two hours getting together. Better than anything I've had at any five star restaurant.Then we had tenderloin steak and short ribs, the short ribs were the best I've ever had anywhere. Overall, just an amazing culinary experience, the food was superb, his helpers did a great job serving, and they left the kitchen spotless. I can't give him a high enough review.“

“Chef Joann was an absolute pleasure to work with. When we first reached out to Chef Joann, she was a little bit out of our price range, but she was able to work with us and our budget in order to be the caterer for our wedding. We went and met Joann and did a food tasting with her and she was so hospitable and nice we knew we had found the caterer for us, not to mention the food was absolutely amazing. Luckily, Chef Joann had worked our venue before so that took all the worries and stress from trying to plan and connect her with our venue and coordinator. She was able to work with us, even through all the craziness of 2020 and we were able to figure out a way to make things work efficiently and safely without jeopardizing the layout or food. The bartenders she was able to bring went above and beyond and really helped to get the party started for our wedding. They were constantly bringing my wife and I drinks as we would be empty handed and socializing with our guests. It was really cool how well the entire crew took care of not only us but all of our guests. With me being the wayI am, I wanted to help Joann and her crew and she would joke with me to be quiet, have fun and get married. It really felt like a family member or close friend was there, had our back and was taking care of us. It was a really cool dynamic and took all the stress out of the day. The food Joann conjures up is not easily put into words. The appetizers she did for the cocktail hour as well as the cheese boards she created for each table were astounding. They were above and beyond anything we had expected. I had guests coming up to me all night commenting on how amazing the cocktail hour was along with the dinner. We are so happy we picked Joann to take control and be a part of our big day. I would highly recommend Joann to anyone who wants amazing a delectable food from someone who is so easy going and easy to work with, you feel like you have known them for years. “Every Friday, our community does a food truck Friday and we've honestly never gone. Most times, I google the food truck and the reviews aren't great, so we figure it isn't worth it. But this was the first time I saw an all 5 star spot, so we had to give it a try. Their menu was concise with three options: burrito bowl, burrito and tacos. They had four meat options: barbacoa, cochinita, asada and pollo. I decided to get the cochinita burrito and my husband ordered the barbacoa, but the burritos accidentally got swapped and we ate each others. They were both good, but the cochinita was definitely the winner! I'm not usually someone who will eat beans, but I loved the ones they used in this burrirto. They were peruanos and were super soft and tender. I really loved the spicy salsa that it came with. It had a nice kick that was super fun! I really hope La Burre makes it back to our community because their food was delicious!“

“Ranch Events was great to work with for our wedding. Paula was our coordinator and she was very communicative and organized. The appetizers, dinner, cake, and drinks that they provided were all delicious and our guests really enjoyed them. They threw in a few extras for our event which was greatly appreciated. They accommodated all of our requests and allowed us to personalize our event as needed. We booked the Seaside Room and they did a great job of decorating the inside and outside of our venue. The location is right on the marina and is beautiful. It was very affordable compared to the other venues we looked at. Would HIGHLY recommend Ranch Events for any event you are booking in the future.“

“We found Cucina Caprese after wanting to find a restaurant in San Diego that wasn’t another Mexican food tourist trap. I am SO glad that we did.It is clear that the owner is intimately involved with the food that is served here. Ingredients are fresh, menu is easy to understand, and although there was not a kids specific menu, we were able to find some great options that both of our kids enjoyed.The Gnocchi al Pesto was probably the best gnocchi I’ve had in my entire life, and the prosciutto burrata was flavorful and absolutely delicious.We were able to walk right in and be seated immediately. Staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. Be prepared to wait a little bit for your food to arrive…I mention this not because it negatively impacted our experience, but because authentic, FRESH Italian food is made to order, takes time, and may not be expected by those of us used to an Americanized take on authentic Italian. “I am so incredibly late making this review, but Terra was absolutely phenomenal for our wedding at the San Diego Botanic Garden in September. They are a preferred vendor for the Garden, but they were by far the most personable and down to earth of all the recommendations. Terra is so incredibly customizable and they work so hard to make sure you are getting what you want and it's honestly for an almost unbelievable price. Everyone we worked with was so awesome, and the food is excellent! The catering went off without a single hitch. They were perfect!“

“I'm left speechless. Just a flawless performance from start to finish. We used Sierra and Billy for our wedding last weekend and they were the absolute best. Beginning with communication, they respond almost immediately whenever you reach out. They are super helpful and know what works best for almost any situation. I really felt like we were in good hands throughout the process, which when you are planning your wedding is incredibly important with the amount of stressful things happening. The food quality was a 10/10. Our guests were raving about all the items, from the passed apps (crab Rangoon style rolls, fried chicken biscuit sliders, bacon wrapped dates were all particularly popular) to the actual entree (we went with a taco bar and it was fantastic), we were so pleased. Couldn't recommend this team more highly. I went in to meet with them prior to the event and they were all incredibly pleasant and excited to be there. I've worked in the event catering world for years and know that having an entire team of positive people can be hard to come by. Billy really has a solid team working with him and he's a very personable and talented man himself. If you are in the market for a catering team in the San Diego area, your search is over. “I know I've already written a review for Brie Mine but Habiba deserves another one! She hosted a charcuterie class for my friends and I. The spread was incredible. I learned about pairings and new techniques! It was the first day of fall and she included fall flavored cheeses and treats! She even had wine for us! I was so proud of my board!!! All of them were beautiful. My friends raved about how much fun they had and how she was the sweetest. She even beautifully wrapped them up for us to take home. Thanks again!“

“First made the drive down to Blue Poke for a Yelp event, but came back a few times when I found myself in the area. There are a few other blue pokes that have since opened closer to central San Diego with one in North Park, but I think the quality varies from location to location- this location in National City being the best! First of all, the design of the store is so fun and I could tell it was clean and well maintained. I had a delicious poke bowl with my favorite spicy ahi (minced style). They have a good number of toppings to choose from along with great sauces. This is what I like to call "chipotle style" poke where you build your bowl, but everything was good! Easy parking to grab your bowl for take-out!“

“From the first moment we connected with Sarah, we knew we wanted to go with her for our wedding day desserts and cake! After being disappointed by the quality of a few cake/dessert tastings from other highly rated vendors in San Diego, we were really hoping to find someone that made tasty desserts, that fit within our budget, and that could bake a beautiful and delicious cake. That’s when we found Sarah’s Dessert Bar. We called and actually spoke to Sarah herself. We scheduled a tasting and actually got the chance to sit down with her, talk about which desserts were our favorites, and hear recommendations from her on what desserts were most popular with guests at previous weddings/events. Sarah was very accommodating in letting us choose a cake type/filling combination that wasn’t on her menu. As we got closer to the wedding, Sarah was very communicative and made us feel reassured that she would take care of everything on the big day. As the days counted down, we found ourselves really excited to eat more of the desserts from Sarah (we even asked her to set aside a small box for us in case the desserts were eaten quickly). The salted caramel macarons, lemon bars, Lemon trifle cups, and Chocolate pot de creme were our absolute favorites. On the day of the wedding, Sarah delivered all of the desserts and set them up beautifully on the dessert table. All of our guests would not stop talking about how delicious the desserts were, and when we cut our cake, we didn’t want to stop eating it after the first piece. At the end of our wedding night, we were SO excited to dig into our special box of desserts from Sarah. We cannot recommend Sarah’s Dessert Bar enough for any special event dessert needs you have. Sarah is our new go-to baker for all of our dessert needs for any special occasion.“

“After hearing that Rubicon has gluten free bread, I knew I had to make it a point to stop in as I'm always in the mood for a good sandwich. I purchased a half order, which was more than enough for me. I decided to build my own sandwich with turkey and all the fixings and light spicy mayo. The half sandwich was about 5 to 6 inches long on a baguette, which held up throughout the duration of me, eating the sandwich! Happy to come back again, although do recommend calling ahead or ordering for pick up as the lunch hour is pretty crazy.“

They have extra touches that many taco caterers. don't have like radishes a wonderful, cactus salad, fresh fruit drinks and the beans weren't refried. Everything was so fresh. “I hired Taco Love to cater my wedding in February and would happily look forward to hiring them again for any future event. Consider this a glowing review, and a recommendation to hire them for your events! Guests are still raving about how great the food was ... many of them were so taken by the appetizers that they didn't even realize a dinner course was still to come! After being super disappointed with the attitude and racist comments from a *different* caterer that had been highly recommended to us, we found Randy and Taco Love and it was a perfect fit! From the first phone call, we knew we were on the right track for our event. He was always kind, very laid-back (something that vibed really well with my personality, but something to note if you want things super formal and in writing right away), and very accommodating to the unique needs and vision of our event and venue space. He would always tell us "it is your wedding ... you let me know what you want and we will make it happen!" We used some of his serving dishes, and some of our own. At our tasting, he made sure we had one of each thing on his menu and it all tasted so great! The meat and veggie options were very delicious, and the salsas were incredibly flavorful. From there, the process was very smooth. There was no limit on the menu, he allowed us to choose from everything they make on the truck. The price was reasonable, and he even added a dessert option only two weeks out from the wedding! Our guests LOVED the churros and ice cream. He was right on time for our wedding, and from what we could tell everything ran so smoothly! We had plenty of food for our guest count of 130. My only regret, is that as the bride and groom we were so chaotic that day we didn't get to eat as much as we wanted to! We are already planning a time to catch his truck when we are back in town so we make up for that! Thank you, Randy! We look forward to eating your food again hopefully soon!“

“Good Italian restaurant with a dog friendly patio. We were here on a Monday night and for the most part we were the only people there. The patio has glass around it which made it feel pretty well enclosed, which was nice since it was pretty overcast. Of course the service was great, it would have been surprising if it wasn't since we were the only ones there.They do cheese wheel pasta here! My wife and I both got it, and we could have honestly shared a single serving because it was so rich! Our waitress also gave us chicken and bacon for our dogs, which was sweet of her to do. The pasta tasted like it was freshly made, which is always a plus. I appreciated that the cheese wheel was done table side, some places it's a centerpiece you have to leave your table to see, so I was glad we got to experience it with no effort.I will say the one thing against this place is it was pretty expensive. It doesn't have the trappings of a high end place, so when we saw the prices on the menu our eyebrows raised a bit. However, it's definitely the type of prices that are justified with the quality of the food. The food is definitely worth it, don't get me wrong.Overall I could definitely see coming here again. It's a few doors down from our dog groomer, so the timing worked out that we picked up our dogs right when parking switches to free. Of the places we've tried with cheese wheel pasta, this has been my favorite so far.Parking: The spaces around here are metered, but free after 6pm.“

“We recently hosted our wedding and had the opportunity to work with Eco Caters for the event. Christine did an amazing job of helping us navigate options and coordinate logistics throughout the process. Once we had scheduled tastings, Chef Esteban was phenomenal in preparing our dishes and really setting up the experience for us; we had even requested to taste items that weren't part of the usual offerings and he had no problem with completing those. On the day of, both Esteban and Randi smoothly prepared the food and made sure everything was ready on time. In addition, all of the servers were quick and attentive, so we never ran out of drinks or had empty plates/etc hanging around for too long. The total food prepared was just right for the number of guests; we took home only a few containers of leftovers, even after several guests went back for seconds. We got tons of feedback from our guests who also loved the food, especially the braised beef and popcorn chicken. Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely work with Eco Caters in the future!“

“We worked with Giuseppe in connection with bar service for our wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum. We were so impressed with Giuseppe during the entire planning process. They worked with us to ensure the wine, beer, and specialty cocktail menu were exactly what we wanted, even going as far as to use our own margarita recipe for the day. All of the bartenders and servers were so kind and friendly to us and our guests, and obviously the drinks were a hit! Highly recommend working with Giuseppe for your next event!“

The restaurant didn't look very big but it had a constant flow of people. I saw a lot of people come get takeout so that would be a convenient option. “Affordable Affairs came highly recommended to me from a venue, the Bernardo Heights Community Center. They had just recently used their services for their Christmas party. I was having my father’s Celebration of Life and needed a catering company. I was then given David’s card. I called him and received a response in a timely manner. After we briefly discussed what I needed he sent a recommended menu and an estimate. We liked the menu he sent over but also made a few small changes. David was very accommodating and easy to work with. His prices were fair and reasonable. The service and food were outstanding just as the Community Center had said, and I highly recommend this catering company!!“
