My steak was cooked to perfection (Medium rare of course) the baked potato was cooked through but not dry, and the salad bar provided a very nice fresh selection. “We came with the whole family (7 of us) from San Diego & Murrieta because based on its menu Los Cabos in Vista offered all the types of seafood (raw oysters, whole fish with head and tail, shrimp, octopus). “I took a new friend here for lunch, she had never been! I was delighted with our window table so we could see the Ocean and all the wonderful beach activity. Our waitress promptly greeted us, got our drinl order and offered menus. She gave us plenty of space to just visit., She was available, but not intrusive. So many delicious options to choose from, I settled on a bowl of Minestrone Soup and Wedge Salad. The soup was full of veggies, pasta and steak chunks; the salad was sectioned in small wedges and drizzled with plenty of delishous dressing, bacon and crumbled blue cheeses. Yum! My friend ordered a Seafood Plate with Calamari and Squid and the like. She ate every bite! Oh, So did I !! My husband and I like to bring out of town guests here since it's right across from a beautiful Carlsbad Beach, it's also a special occasion place as well. If you've not been, your missing out! p.s. “Customer service is good and the food was prepared without us having to wait an exorbitant amount of time. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered Szechuan tofu with rice and then vegetable chow mein (which was amazing) and my nana ordered salt and pepper wings and vegetable egg rolls. She claims they were excellent. I'm usually a big eater but could not finish it all. Place is mid sized, if you intend to have a large party, you will take up most of the space in this place. Tables would have to be moved together if you wanted to sit together. Other than that it is perfect for 1-4 people to grab lunch and go. They take phone orders. I'm also vegetarian so there are options for you if you are as well. Think that covers it, stop by yourself and enjoy!

Vegetarian options: Lot of tofu options or just different vegetable dishes

Dietary restrictions: My Nana can't eat beef or pork and I am vegetarian. Still a good selection of options for the both of us“

The service is better than most restaurants. The gentlemen here are very attentive, kind, informative, and treat you like family.

This place is a hidden gem and well worth the visit. I live in LA and i still go out of my way to eat here.

“It was so promising with the chips and salsa. Best chips I've had in so long and the salsa has a great balance so it's spicy tasty without burning out your buds with spice. Then the waiting set in. There was only two other tables when we came in so I really thought it wouldn't be THAT long. Felt like at least half an hour and there was only three of us. Then the food came out and it was surprisingly small for the price. The costs are comparable to other places but the meals are definitely bigger elsewhere. The food wasn't cooked consistently. My plate was okay but one plate at our table was very underdone and one plate was very overdone. Overall, the experience wasn't bad but the feel of the place is more of a sports bar and the food quality is only okay with comparable prices to places as close as across the street.“

“This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the North county area. I mostly do takeout from this place, but it is a great experience dining in as well. Food is delicious and portions are generous. I also highly recommend appetizers and dessert here. My go to is the drunken noodles or massaman curry, but everything else I've tried was amazing. Service is fast and friendly, there is rarely a long wait for food or drinks.“

“Service was slow and inconsistent. We sat almost 12 minutes before anyone came near us. We ordered an appetizer , while we waited for our third person to arrive. We ordered dinner and were served salads immediately. We were halfway thru the salad before the appetizer arrived. Minutes later, dinners arrived. while we were still working on the appetizer. Service was not the best, but the food was really excellent. The Prime Rib was perfect, but the plate was drab and dull. No color whatsoever. A piece of parsley would go a long way. I have had better service at IHOP.“

Look I don’t want to bash a restaurant, hence why I’m still giving 4 stars… and let’s be honest, even mediocre dumplings are still better than most food options out there.

But there’s a lot of room for improvement so I’ll keep things honest and maybe someone will care enough to use the feedback.

Let’s start with the good stuff… the garlic green beans were why far the best part of the meal. Huge portion, cooked perfectly, and stole the show.

Overall, very reasonable prices but if day charge more and increase quality and freshness of the food. Maybe it’s just not the best area to increase prices so I get it.

I went to this spot for the duck… but it looked nothing like the website photo. No crisp and mostly bone… just go with something else because duck isn’t this spots strong suit.

I’m 99% sure the Xiao Long Bao were straight outa the frozen goods aisle at Costco.

Rule of thumb for the future… if a dumpling spot isn’t making the dumplings out in the open, just find a new spot or don’t order dumplings.

Now I gotta say, they over delivered on the potion size of the shrimp fried rice portion but not many shrimp to be found in the pile of rice.

Overall, good spot if you’re high as a kite and looking for some affordable and big portion sizes to kill your Asian food craving. But if you’re looking for some fresh dumplings, you’ll find a better option 8 miles away over in San Marcos.“

“First time walking into this spot, and let me just say—what an experience! I came in to try the oxtails, and they did not disappoint. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, flavorful, and not overly fatty. Paired with the Jamaican rice, which was soft and fluffy, it was perfection.

The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff shows true hospitality, making you feel right at home. I also tried one of their Jamaican drinks—refreshing and packed with flavor, definitely a must-have! The empanadas with spiced meat had just the right kick to balance everything out.

If I had one small critique, it would be the plantains—I think if they made them fresh to order, it would take them to the next level.

Overall though, this place is a gem in Oceanside. Pricing is fair, portions are generous, and the food quality is phenomenal. For me, it’s a strong 9.2/10 and an easy 5/5 stars. If you’re craving authentic Jamaican food, this is THE spot to check out!“

“I absolutely love this place. I have stopped in maybe three or four times now for lunch and it never disappoints. Im definitely not an expert in their cuisine but i do know when a spot offers an abundance of good food for a low price, and this hits that mark. The large plates of made to order food are affordable and the big ol' draft beer is great to wash it all down. The service is always with a smile and the restraunt is always very relaxed with some sports on the TV and families dining. 100% recommend stopping in for simple, delicious food, for not a whole lot of $$$.“
