“We came in on a Friday afternoon looking for some quality fare, and were taken care of by Jasmin herself and her coworker at the time. We had the cheeseburger and double burger, and all of the sides (tater tots, fries, onion rings). Not only was all the food freshly cooked in front of us, everything was perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor.

And Jasmin! I'm going to echo all the comments made by others and just say she is the sweetest host. She's about as Korean ajumma as you can get, in terms of hospitality and making sure you're fed. She's ready to make your day the best way she can, and with a smile on her face.

I hope she continues to be a staple of the neighborhood for the next 20 years and beyond!

“What a delicious smash burger. Only open five hours a week at the outer sunset farmers market, I had to plan my Sunday around having this burger. Ordered at 1030 am for a rare brunch burger. “It was a drive thru, so take the atmosphere rating w a grain of salt. As a vegetarian, I don't come here often, but I drive through the tunnel several times a day and there is only so long one can resist the scrumptious smell of fried onions and all of the animal style goodness.
So, I joined the long line and grabbed a grilled cheese animal style, along with some fries and a drink.
The guy taking my order was patient, friendly, and thorough. The person taking my money was cheerful and smiling. The person giving me the food double checked to make sure I was being given the correct order and was friendly and kind.
The grilled cheese and all of the toppings is hit the spot. The fries were on the salty side, and the drink had the perfect balance of beverage and ice.
If you eat meat, your experience will likely be better, since there are so many additional options.
Go on the earlier side or risk getting in line directly out of the tunnel (stay in the farthest right lane).

“I went there for brunch and I totally recommend it. Be mindful you will have to queue outside, but if that doesn’t stop you, you will enjoy one of the best brunches I’ve had in town.
We ordered the cdmx and the special of the day. They were both really good and filling.

“Last Saturday we ordered a lot of food from the melt. The whole crew was working overtime and we all ordered multiple items and the crew absolutely killed it. Lady working the cashier was absolutely amazing. Sweetest lady ever. The cooks were amazing and they have a very good crew working. The employees are always super friendly and the food is awesome at a reasonable price (considering the city we're in and how expensive other quality burger places can be). They offer lots of meat options for burgers as well as a vegetable patty, and have seasonal items that rotate (like certain drinks/beers, salads, and certain meats like elk). I got the Cheeseburger combo. The cheese came unmelted. They have a do-it-yourself toppings bar which is a unique experience and allows you to go crazy on toppings if you wanted to. No special sauces here which I think is usually what makes a burger stand out, otherwise all the other toppings are pretty basic. I say the burger is OK, I just wish there was more flavors to choose from the bar.

“Whiz always has the most friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. They offer alternatives if they are out of something and recommendations based on what other people get. For example, a Sprite float with Mitchell's mango ice cream is a game changer! Their food is tasty, greasy (in the way you expect a good burger to be, not overly), and well seasoned. I highly recommend getting their ranch as well to pair with your fries or burger. Overall, when I want a burger or some comfort food, Whiz is high on my list!

This spot is conveniently located on the corner of California and Laurel with parking available in the rear. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can enjoy your meal however you prefer.

🍔 Truffle Burger
I tried the Truffle Burger special, two ways: one with a regular bun and one with a ciabatta bun. This burger is a masterpiece—caramelized onions and melted Jack cheese pair perfectly with the rich truffle oil that coats every bite. It's phenomenal! While the ciabatta bun held its structure well and offered a heartier bite but overall I think I prefer the classic bun for its balance. Also, definitely ask for some ranch on the side and pour it on before your next bite—it’s a great bite for sure.

The garlic fries are next-level, loaded with garlic and topped with six-month-aged white cheddar. Absolutely delicious!

🍴 Extras
They’ve got a self-serve soda fountain with ketchup, mustard, and spicy pickle spears. Grab a Dr Pepper or Coke and pair it with a few pickle spears—it’s a surprisingly good combo.

🍹 Refreshing End
After your meal, cool down with their iced tea. Add some lemon and sugar for the perfect finish.

Overall: This place delivers on all fronts—flavorful food, great vibes, and a solid setup. I know they are a chain but if you haven't had super duper, it's definitely worth a visit!
