“We catered mini desserts (bars + cupcakes) plus a small 2-tier cake for our wedding a few weeks ago and were so pleased! The cake was absolutely delicious and, while we didn't personally try all the desserts, our guests were raving about the desserts - especially the brownies, lemon bars and blueberry pie bars. They were very easy to work with and could easily adapt almost all desserts to gluten free versions that were equally as delicious. Would highly recommend!“

We were on a driving trip through CA and my daughter accidentally left her Apple Watch at the bakery. We did not realize this until we were two hours south. This little bakery is located inside Chumash Casino and I get more excited about this pastry shop than the actual resort.Not only are the desserts aesthetically pleasing, they are simply wow. A different array of desserts are presented each month depending on season or special events. And don’t forget about their in house made Gelato Bar. Yummy!Personal favorites are the cake pops and specialty cakes. The cake pops are dangerously delicious and the art, the flavors, in their cakes are astounding.Need something a little bit more filling? Grains and Grounds also serves pre-packaged fresh salads and inviting sandwiches.Craving Starbucks? “stumbled upon this place many years ago while shooting in Solvang and have been back many times since, to also include sending my parents each a slice (chocolate & raspberry) for Christmas and their birthdays. I have yet to cross paths with a better tasting fudge than this and would recommend to anyone now that it can be shipped anywhere.“

“On a road trip we were figuring out whether this place was a good stopover for breakfast. It was indeed. A small bakery that offers a lot more in dining options. The bakery and cafe has a small inner dinning area as well as an outdoor yard. The menu is casual but it offers enough options for breakfast and brunches. Bread is made to the standards found in larger cities. Definitely a worthwhile visit.

“Esko's was awesome from start to sweet finish. We came back to Solvang just to come to this bakery because we did not have time the first time. We specifically came to buy the Stroopwafels and cinnamon rolls we saw in the window, but we ended up purchasing those plus additional items such as Turkish Coffee and Turkish Delight, a Savory Ground Beef Roll, a Danish Waffle, and coffee ice cream. The Turkish Coffee and Turkish Delight were hands down the best I have had in the United States. I particularly enjoyed the Turkish Delights because they were not super sweet like I have found in other places...they were the exact perfect amount of sweetness. The ice cream was great and so was the waffle. I also really enjoyed the savory beef roll which was great because I had asked the employee which beef pastry he recommended and he said that one was his favorite. He didn't steer me wrong! It was delicious! The employees and the owner were all very kind and made great recommendations. I haven't tried the cinnamon roll yet, but I'm sure it will be amazing too.
