“We stopped here as a backup option as all the restaurants in the area had long waits. It's very cute inside, well decorated and clean. Staff was friendly. There are some good options for breakfast other than just bagels. I would give the bagels a 4/5. My husband however got the French toast and rated that a 5/5.“

“Have been visiting Bob's since they opened. It is consistently busy with travelers as well as a local trade. Best for me to come early esp on weekends. Other days & times a line may be expected, so I try to be prepared by studying the menu flyers before hitting the counter. When my turn comes, I order breads/pastries first, then meals or drinks prefaced by 'For Here' or 'To Go' as a signal. (awesome) cookies are displayed to the right of the pay station, so scope them out before ordering. Staff works well together and is efficient, packs to-go orders with care and busses tables quickly and pleasantly. Having worked retail and in a bakery/gift shop, I tip even for takeout. Service and kitchen staff def earn it- I'm happy to, as a thank you. Remember there is another equally charming location, located in Ballard townsite along Alamo Pintado, the main road between Solvang and Los Olivos, and is reached easily from 101 from north or south via Highway 154. ( Los Olivos is another village with many local wine tasting rooms and galleries for perusing after a meal)“

“The best pastries I've had. We travel all over and have never found anywhere like this. The freshness and detail put into their products show up. I hadn't been here in 5 years and came back all was the same if not better. The atmosphere of this town is amazing and without Olsens it would never be the same. “We enjoyed our visit to Danish Mill Bakery. Not only are the pastries and desserts delicious, the customer service is impeccable. We were on a driving trip through CA and my daughter accidentally left her Apple Watch at the bakery. We did not realize this until we were two hours south. I received a phone call from Emily at the bakery who was so kind and was willing to mail the watch to our home. We can't thank you enough!“

“In the vast sea of tasting rooms Lefty's is an adorable little palate cleanser and the best coffee shop to trade your wine glass in for a coffee and snack.
It's a local gem that I selfishly I hope doesn't blow up but deserves to.

The staff is so friendly and welcoming, it's become its own little community.

During the week it's the perfect place to meet with friends to catch up, or sit outside in the backyard and dive into a nice book. The weekends are more lively and it's fun to meet various tourists escaping the craziness of town.

I default to the cafe latte and granola-the mix is fantastic.

Also the puzzle corner is adorable and despite my ability to effectively contribute it seems to make good progress but please help when you stop by.

“I always enjoy going to the one on Ballard and los alamos Bob ,Caesar ,Maria ,Josiline and Rachel are always so awesome.“

“Overall this was a pretty fun experience for us. At least as far as a trip to Starbucks goes. Yes, we ventured a trip to the casino looking for the Grains & Grounds coffeehouse bakery which soon turned into a slightly confused, dark & flashy, casino lit, cigar smoke infused, hunt and discovery of Chumash's back-of-the-house, hole-in-the-wall, Starbucks gem! I'll admit I was disappointed at realizing our Google maps wild goose chase ended in finding a 'boutique bakery/coffee conglomerate consolidation. But as early morning, albeit last minute, adventures go we still got a lot of enjoyment in playing around with a delightfully glittered, Almond Honey Cake fluff and a dark chocolate & gold gilded Cake Pop! Wow!!
But while I can't say either confection knocked my socks off in the taste category, I will give full marks for imagination and whimsical presentation. So I'll conclude by admitting that I'm deeply curious to sample whatever else they've got for next time.“

“We came late to Solvang and most places were closed. This bakery stayed open and there were two guys working there - Muhammed and Ajhon who were great and offered very good service. It was nice talking to them and get our pastries for late dinner.“
