“Love many of the small meal offerings here. Don't love the coffee, not a fan there. Occasionally the bean dishes have caused excessive gas while at other times this does not happen. So wondering a bit if food is always carefully prepared? Now have to use caution in eating them, hoping it was a temporary issue.Have not ordered their breads, will give that a go. What I've had in sandwiches, ect is yummy.Tried some of their unique canned drinks, mixed bag there for me.Would love to see more variety/options on the menu esp as I've ruled out items that are not for me.Overall delighted and encouraged with the whole food approach.“
“Julie’s baked goods are top notch yummy rich delights! We tried the pumpkin cinnamon rolls this year and they made for a perfect Thanksgiving morning treat for those of us getting that bird in the oven. The berry and beautiful apple “leaf” pies, also delicious. Highly recommend.“
“I have loved Nothing Bundt Cakes for years. They offer a wide variety of flavors and sizes. The cakes are super yummy! I like to get the bundtlet, which is the perfect size for 1-2 people. There are also bundtinis which must be bought by the dozen, and are a great idea for parties. This cheerful store also has cute gift items such as cards, candles, and kitchenware. Sign up for their email list and get a free bundtlet on your bday as well as 2 for 1 offers.“
“Bottom Line: A great little local bakeryEvery town needs to have a little local spot like this where people make and serve baked goods. They always have tons of different things in here for you to try - you just have to get down here to try them!I'm lucky enough to have this spot on the way to work, so I can drop in a pick up some goodies pretty much any time.Come check it out!“
“LOVED this place. Delicious pastries for breakfast, friendly service, lovely outdoor sitting area. Would definitely recommend! We had a croissant, blueberry scone and apple fritter. My husband who usually does not like scones because "they are too dry" even liked the scone! He also accidentally left his credit card there and they saved it for him and made sure we got it back. Great place for breakfast!“
“Menu is simple, choose 1 of 4 flavors and can choose chocolate milk, milk or water to drink. Service was fast and it looked clean. The smore didn't have a strong gram cracker flavor (which I prefer) but didn't get much chocolate flavor but the marshmallow is on top and easy to see. Cookie was soft and not overly sweet like a lot of places, but the cookies are big! Flavor to me was ok. You can see in the picture one bite vs my smore cookie. Fri and Sat they are open until midnight. Go get some cold stone and grab a cookie from here for a dessert night!“
“More of a 3.75 but I'll round up. We usually visit Crushcakes in downtown SB but this location was super close to our hotel, so we walked over during our stay. The workers were very nice and my family found a table inside to accommodate all of us, which was great. The pancakes were on the dryer side. All my sons commented on them. I had the French toast and it was very good. This is a great place to stop for a sweet treat, but we probably wont have at breakfast at this spot again, I rather visit their other location.“
“Best breakfast place we had on our California road trip - by far. Their campfire French toast with smoked maple sirup (only on weekends) is next level, their avocado toast with cucumber super tasty and the cinnamon roll the best I ever had! We came back three times to Santa Barbara during our road trip and part of that decision was also the amazing breakfast at Helena's Bakery. You order at the counter and then look for a seat, indoors or outdoors. There is parking in the neighborhood if you need it, but I would recommend to walk over.A must go if you are in SB!“
“My husband and I were in Santa Barbara for a few days. We stopped at a local coffee shop and a customer waiting for their order overheard me ask the cashier if they had gluten-free options...they had two. Well, this kind woman told me if I want great gluten-free food, go to Lilac Patisserie. So the next morning we were there. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. That woman overhearing me has made me a huge fan of Lilac Patisserie. Our breakfasts were excellent. I have been gluten-free for over seven years and the breakfast was by far the best gluten-free breakfast I have ever had. My husband is not gluten-free and he said he could not taste the difference. The ambiance is warm and friendly. The service was professional and we didn't feel rushed to order. The line was long now and then while we were there but the meal was worth the wait. We did not have to wait for a table. There is inside and outside seating. We even purchased some baked goods to bring back home to Los Angeles with us. Lilac Patisserie is a MUST every time we visit Santa Barbara.“
“I decided to try,one morning, their miso-maple focaccia and since then I am hooked! It won me over instantly! Moist, flavorful without being over the top, just perfect balance. I can never resist marzipan so I had a frosnapper! Once again delighted with it! Let’s just say it didn’t make it home. I also love their pumpkin seeds sourdough bread, moist, full of seeds, excellent! Highly recommend.“
“Hands down best coffee and pastry shop in Santa Barbara County. Been coming here for about 6 months and have never wait less than a half hour but it is WORTH IT. Staff is so kind and thankful for all customers who walk through the door. Each drink and donut is hand crafted and you can tell there is a lot of love and passion in this business. Such a cute interior too!!“
“This is such a cute spot for breakfast, brunch, early lunch. Service is amazing, food is great. The way they have it set up is great, you get in line outside, then inside to order at the register then they have a table waiting for you. Servers are amazing. Clean restrooms. Right across from the BEACH.“
“Edit: Great food again as usual!Original Post: I love this place and come here regularly. But today was dissapointed that my french onion soup had barely any onion, with an overly salty broth. Will update this review next time I come when the food is (hopefully) as good as it is normally“
“It is a very impressive sweets shop. The lanterns are whimsical and the decorations inviting. The variety of sweets is overwhelming! The Turkish coffee is served in a traditional style with a pice of lokum and a bit of water. Prices are exorbitantly high, but if you want a delectable treat it might be worth your while.“
“Jeannine's is one of our favorites when we visit cousins in Santa Barbara several times a year. The line, while off-putting at first, moves quickly and you've ordered and are seated soon enough to not make impatient kids crazy. We ordered the Challah French Toast breakfast with scramble eggs, Chilaquiles, Two Eggs over easy and a side of toast, and the oatmeal. All arrived well-presented and all reported as "super tasty." My only criticism is that, even though we were eating in and event though they thankfully provided cloth napkins, the coffee was in a paper cup and the water was in a plastic cup. Especially since you are situated right across the street from the beach, change to reusable cups and you will get 5 stars.“
“Absolutely fantastic local bakery and deli. Relaxed outdoor seating, no wait, easy parking, definitely where the locals go. Get the Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato & Roasted Peppers on Ciabatta!Vegetarian options: Get the Fresh Mozzarella and Tomato sandwich!!!“
“My husband and daughter popped by yesterday just for fun. They got the last few items- a strawberry cupcake, an eclair, a cream puff, and a red velvet cupcake. We slowly enjoyed each item.... And we are a baking family. We LOVED all of them! Cannot recommend the baked goods here enough! And I heard the owner has a great attitude and is wonderful too!“
“Stopped here for a quick bite before we continued on the way to cemetery The breakfast croissant for me, and fried breakfast sandwich, for my husband, were good. First time here. We've been to Harry's next door and thought we were going to eat there but found out Harry's didn't open until 11am. We were an hour too early. But decided to go into Renaud's. We will be back.“
“Wonderful French pastry, served by a welcoming baker in a tiny space filled with glass cases of beautiful, French pastries, eclairs and scones. Each pastry and large coffee were $4.50 each. So delicious and pretty messy to eat in the car! But, well worth it!“
“What a little treasure! I have passed by this little cafe/bakery many times before--each time telling myself to get in there soon. Finally after six years living in town, I made it! The inside feels like you’re in someone’s cottage with antiques and Australian touches here and there. Not a surprise given the adorable Victorian home it’s housed in. I was greeted by the owner himself who was friendly and helpful with all my newbie questions. This business is Australian—uh huh, I said it right; full on Aussie. Completely unexpected…I gotta say. Get your Flat White here! Their vanilla syrup is made in house and I highly recommend it too. They offer a variety of fresh, homemade pastries. I ordered the banana bread which had a nice balance of sweet and savory, plus it was warmed up on a griddle. Just as Nana would do! I know they are known for their cinnamon rolls so I will definitely be back to try one when my sweet tooth kicks in. The quiches were also sold out when I came in and at high-demand. One gal said their quiche is the best in town! A bold statement.Given that the Holidays are coming up quickly, it’s also worth mentioning that they have a sign offering their handmade pies for purchase. I plan to preorder two for when we host our family Thanksgiving this year. Flavors and selections are endless (pumpkin, apple, berries, and the list goes on).Hooroo mate!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at entrance“
“Wonderful first experience. Pastries looked beautiful and tasted amazing. I had a kouign-amann that was buttery, sweet, and beautifully layered. I also had a beignet that was perfectly and evenly filled with a light passionfruit cream. The reception from the staff was so kind and welcoming. They must've realized it was my first time there because they gifted me a baguette to take home too!! Great customer service and attention to detail. Will be back very soon!“
“Burritos and sweets at an unbelievable price! We go there on rainy days but it's a great treat all the time. We went when the power was out but we still got to get our treats! They're so welcoming and friendly and when you walk in you can smell the amazingness!“
We will be back.“
“Wonderful bakery goods like Pan Dulce and Breakfast burritos! Everything we had was delicious. The service was helpful and very intuitive like she knew what we needed in our life. The place is small and had no where to eat, so we took our food around the corner to the rear of Deckers where they have tables and chairs set up (google it) The Mexicano brefass burrito was perfectly delicious!! But the Serrano chilis are probably too hot for some, it did come with sides of crema to soothe your lips if need be. We will definitely detour back during our trips to Chumash or SB.“
