“Love the concept of the weekly menu change. Bummed closed Sundays cause that’s when I always seem to want cookies! Prompts me to look at the menu on Monday. Buttery cakey flavors are my favorite. Stoked to see they have minis as an option now. App makes it easy, but service is always speedy when you walk in.

“So good, a hidden gem! I’m not usually a big fan of bagels, but the bagel was absolutely the star of the show when it came to our sandwiches. And they didn’t skimp on any ingredients (plenty of avocado, meat, and cheese). The lox sandwich was great and came with a house dill mustard sauce. The bagels were big and almost fluffy. “I tried this spot for the first time, I was drawn in by the Nduja wings, they didn't serve them when I went. The wings they did have, were delicious, a little under cooked for my preference, but the flavor was so good we wanted more. The pizza was delicious as well. The atmosphere was nice, the staff was super friendly. The space was cozy. Overall it was a very lovely night out. We will definitely come again when we are craving wings and pizza.“

“One in our party is a Vegan. Based on our research we chose Back Bench. We ordered one Vegan and one Pepperoni pizza. Both were very good. We learned there is a daily limit of pizzas created and once that number is hit, the kitchen closes. Back Bench offers slices.

Located in the downtown area of Ventura, there's a busy vibe, lots of people out. Can get 4 hour free parking in a nearby lot, otherwise, there are meters. We used the ParkMobile app to easily pay for street parking.“

This is the only place that will take the time to redeem your winning Fantasy 5 lottery tickets when other stores tell you that their computers won't redeem them because of a glitch in the system. The lady employee (possibly the owner?) manually entered the numbers under the bar codes of each ticket while I waited for about 5 minutes. No other vendor (not even Vons on the Avenue, or the liquor stores on lower Thompson) were willing to do that. I'm going to give Avenue Donuts a $1000 tip if I ever win the Fantasy 5 jackpot. Also, I love their chocolate donuts.“

“We went to this bakery to get a cake and it was excellent. A friend said he normally doesn't like cake, but said this cake is so good (and he asked for seconds). It was delicious (not too sweet, just the right amount of flavor, and moist). It was beautiful, too (came out very pretty with flowers and colors as we had requested). I will hope to get more cakes from this bakery when we celebrate here (I think it is the best bakery in the county, and I have tried quite many). Also, don't let the prices make you think it is not a great bakery; they are just very fair with their pricing (the cake was inexpensive but still it was very delicious).“

After the third-party member picked up the order and did not deliver for almost three hours, I requested a refund for the melted ice cream which I received promptly. I certainly did not expect to see this a couple of hours later: a refund for the entire purchase...thank you Vons for going above and beyond with your customer service!“
